i've been playing on this site for nearly 13 years and in my experience the setups usually have around 40% mafia with most villagers having kp to make up for it

/catchup thoughts

confession: i skimmed when i woke up and was planning to read more thoroughly once i got on PC, but i couldn't, so i'll just post what stuck out to me on skimming

stett prob spewed and also has villagery lines. the thing that sheep was accusing knights of i kind of actually attribute to cobalt when he's calling sheep out, just a relatively muted callout that i don't really follow. and on that same vein, i didn't like ladd's poking of sheep cuz it felt like going through the motions. newcomb's questioning is fine and well, but it felt like ladd would spot more than that. however, this is not to say i think he's a wolf yet cuz i have a semi-serious read that idk if he'd go to make a post to that length saying pretty much ~nothing as a wolf, but i didn't like it

sheep obv looks good for me. gh alt made me lol so he gets a pass. anything else is pretty NAI to me / uninteresting to read into alignment wise

initially i liked knight's intro, but i realized he probably had that exact feeling occur to him before so it's not as easy to give villa cred for cuz it'd be easy to have in his wolfing arsenal. he didn't ping me any sort of way though

and lastly, the problem with dya's post is, as stett said, the line in which they go "looking forward to being wolfread for it". the problem is that it happens every game and it's something that you know deep down will happen, so opening up with it feels counterintuitive because it's a feeling that ramps up with the game going down rather than at the start and i dont remember dya stating that thing unless it's later in the game and after they put in effort. i kinda take that approach / say it like that as a wolf more when there's no reason to as a wolf more than as villa, whereas when im villa i just am aware it will happen and once i get pushed i bring it up as a joke, not as actually being tilted even though nothing happened yet (which is what dya's post felt like to me). i dont say it pre-emptively. and also another point is that this is not your typical playerlist so i'd actually have more faith i'd be read correctly than not, so it just feels incredibly out of place in that context. but really i just disliked the way in which they said it lol

i'm wolfreading sheep because i don't think his knights wolfread is real. his first gripe with knights was disagreeing about whether dya's entrance was null or wolfy (still weird but understandable) but his second gripe was basically that knights said stett's opener was "probably towny" instead of "remarkably towny" which feels disingenuous cuz it was literally an opening post and u can easily make that shit up, "probably towny" was how i felt about it and anything more i feel like is a thought wolves are more likely to have than a villager, thinking villagers' posts are townier than they actually are cuz of TMI. taking issue with the shade of villageriness knights attributed to the post just feels pedantic

ladd unironically yolo town for "surprised knights has no read on sheep push on them tbh" ime this is usually something a villa thinks about more often than wolves. at least i know i do anyway

i kinda like c0balt too - im pushing sheep for a diff reason but i guess that if he is a wolf he is inadvertently tmi'ing sheep by doing the above stuff wrt pushing knights so i guess it kinda ties in? i like how #93 vibed too tbh

im not gonna actually do anything about either right now but the two pings for me are "if its not gh, lolknights" by knights and "one of those games where 0-1 wolves have posted so far" or w/e newcomb said. like i think the first is something more likely to be added on by a wolf whereas a villager just stops at "if its gh i think the opening is wolfy cause its similar to what he just opened as in anni" and the newcomb one is just a.) something i say as a wolf cause i think it sounds villagery and never really think as a villager and b.) a lot of people had posted already so like, are we realllly thinking 0-1 wolves have posted instead of woofs just knowing how to not out themselves in shitpost openers?

idk how to describe it but basically this first happened after i read sunbae's post about newcomb and knights and i started formulating a weird kind of net of associations around cobalt/knights/sheep and realizing that if i'm wrong on sheep then he's probably town and one of the other two is more likely to have a wolf and like even though i lean on it being sheep i don't think the other worlds are that unlikely so they're kinda just existing in my mind as alternate options

this ties into insomnia's post cuz it's like. suggesting the alternate reality to the one i think is most likely. but i still townread it. it feels like he's having reasonable thoughts on those posts but i just disagree on which is the most likely world, but not enough for me to care about the fact we disagree. cuz, i mean y'all probably won't believe me but in my catch up post i originally had the same thought about how c0balt may have inadvertently been TMI'ing stett by accusing sheep of doing that because while i agree with the sheep sus that being the reason feels like more of a wolf accusation. soz this sounds hella hedgy but the point i want to convey is that i townread insomnia's post even though i had different takeaways cuz i can kinda see those options if i'm wrong, so having those thoughts is just as easily town indicative
