Was it Heroic Victory? I thought that it was clear victory.
Screenshots should be in the battle reports. Otherwise I give only 2 Bp's for Heroic Victories or something like that.
jesus!
i'll definately try some of the strategies suggested, but can i have some more time as i have a whole lot of real life stuff to do tonight, damn uni!
I-K i should have 2 battle points should i not
It was heroic, but as stated in the battle report I had problems with the screens... so I guess it`s fine if I only get 2, but last time I looked I had 0 ;)
EDIT: Roka, good luck for the battle and of coure RL stuff comes first :)

what about my heroic victory? I couldnt get the screenies to work (black) but my victory was a famous victory.
do famous victories get any extra BPs?

Shouldn't a Heroic victory icon appear on the strat map with the name of the general involved? That way everyone can verify the victories of people who have issues with screenshots.

Just to make it official: the keyboard to my EB-computer is broken so I won't be able to do any in-game stuff until I've got a new one. I have therefore given the control of my Royal Army over to GMaximus, and if I still haven't sorted out this problem when SwissBarbar joins the army, the control will then pass to him until I return.
I'll still be here and do my part in the Council and what-not, but if you want anything done with my RA, you can talk to them. As long as it doesn't break the instructions I have given them (you can see my SOT post for that), they're free to accept or decline as they please.
Hmm... I should probably make up an IC excuse for this...

Yeah... it does seem a bit late to notice something like that now, though, doesn't it?
And I don't know how long it will take. Best case scenario, I'll have it by tomorrow, and this was all unnecessary. More likely, it will be fixed by the weekend, but there's no guarantee.

Many thanks to Hooahguy for this great sig.
Well I really hope it goes a little faster as soon as we get over this turn ^^
Don't worry SwissBarbar, It usually gets done in 24 hours. It's just this time we have had toooo many battles to fight and peoples RL have kept them away from this game.
Incitatus, like Alerion said - not all heroic victories are famous victories.
You won battle against the rebels. That's 2 Bp's. But you retreated when the Ptolemaioi attacked your army, this counts as a defeat. I took it as a Clear Defeat.Originally Posted by Roka
Actually this part in the rules are quite fuzzy. So I would propose in the next Royal Council Session this CA:
Following lines will be added to the Rule 2.5:
To get to the next rank(Rule 2.4) every Strategos must get certain amount of 'battle points'. If you retreat from the battle, with out fighting it, it will be counted as 'Close Defeat'. How many 'battle points' 1 battle gives are shown below.
"Crushing Defeat" -3 points
"Clear Defeat" -2 point
"Average Defeat" -1 point
"Close Defeat" 0 point
"Close Victory" 1/2 point
"Average Victory" 1 point
"Clear Victory" 2 points
"Heroic Victory" 3 pointsNo.Originally Posted by Celtic_Punk

why count it as close defeat, maybe you just draw back to gain better battle position, an ordered retreat must not be a shame.
i pledge for counting it not at all, wich would mean the same for the Battle points, because a close defeat makes no difference

Will the Basileus/Chancellor please be kind enough to notify me via their report as to whether the units are ready for my command?

once again, will be away for the weekend, try to withdraw from battle/merge with any other commander if at all possible.
and try not to get timmy killed, I don't wanna have to make a new nickname for a new avatar :P
WotB: Timarchos Anaias Mysiakes, marching round the arche beating up rebels
LotR: Lisas Attaliedas, currently in reserve
no heroic defeat, only close.

I wouldn't worry yet Adamantarius a few of us don't have armies. There are other things you can do till your assigned one. I'm heading towards the front but I don't know what I'll be doing yet (peeling spuds and hard training and old veteran told me)

The real fun in this game (and in LotR) lies in the Council Sessions. That's my opinion, though.
hey guys, one of ym good mates is in the RAF and he is in glasgow for the weekend, so ill not be able to fight battle this weekend as celtic are also playing tomorrow, is it possible for someone else to fight my battle for me?
who gets the battle points? lol![]()

the rules state that its not possible... no avatar who is not in a battle can fight it, so it has to be autoresolved if you cant do it...
Does Hax have the save right now?
so what's the script here?
what was the battle result? crushing defeat?
i understand it had to be auto-resolved, i just want to know how the battle went so that i may write a story about Achaios' death
