No car? Uff da, that's rough.

Yeah, I've been to Waterloo/Cedar Falls, although I'll be darned if I can remember what the occasion was. Perhaps I was at UNI for a choral festival of some kind? I'm honestly blanking out now. I attended Luther College for a year (hence my reference to Decorah), during which I was also a member of Norsemen, the school's freshmen men's choir.

Anyway, I thought it was a nice enough town at the time. We're talking at least a good 10 years ago, though, so I may be recalling the place through the metaphorical rose-tinted lenses.

Well, its going to be nicer in about 2 years when they finish road work on the main roads. UNI is rife with horror stories about people losing hubcaps, license plates, side mirrors, even a whole wheel on occasion whilst traversing University avenue, due to the preponderance of potholes which would make a Manhattanite blush.

But ya, its nice enough, per say. Just... well... ...


Okay, actually, I'm not quite giving total due credit. We DO have the singe best sports bar in the entire Universe, Becks. Best burgers EVER. And if there's one thing we Iowans know how to do, its make a burger.
