Theres a part in the Senate thread about battle tactics...technicaly we're all still meant to be in there discussing it, seeing as that session never closed

historically, yes...in game id prefer for the sake of not getting owned you do what works for you as commander if Republican tactics work for you then by all means kill sum barbarians!

it's still green, don't worry, but the other akontistai might be needed in case the population expands too quickly or the carthaginians decide that we're going to invade sicilia

we'll we're supposed to be, but if you see my report on the battle near Taras, I didn't because of the lack of infantry

hey guys! as you may or nay not have noticed, i have been absent from these threads for quite some time. this is due to some bad internet connections to my comp and to my PS3 which has left me ready to hurl them out of my window. anyway just checking back in to let you know im still with it. i may be absent for a few more days to try and fix these issues.

Oh and my laptop display broke too. its just been a bad week.
looking forward to some good ol' RTW to chear me up :)

ok, we have good news, we're forming another legion (as you have read), and that means all the current players who are tribuni can join the legions and have a chance to be promoted to legatus!

So we aren't using any mini-mods or anything are we? Just straight up 1.1? Will the official fixes minimod affect anything? I haven't downloaded it yet but I'm just wondering.
