Or for people with trouble focusing their eyes. It happens. Or for people who are on the dim end of legally blind. Or for people with dyslexia.
Mrs. Lemur has mild dyslexia, and this creates a tension in the house. I always want subtitles as a matter of course, but she wants to know if that film is worth the bother of doing so much reading so fast. This means we have to sort out which films are worth subtitles and which ones we can endure dubbed.
Anyway, there's no reason to insult everyone who likes or needs dubbing. Ever since the advent of the holy DVD, you've generally been allowed to pick your poison, so it's not like their preference is messing with you.
