I think I know the reason for this. The ADPCM format has a weird addendum at the end of the sound. At the end of the sound, you will hear a stuttering from the beginning of the sound. This was also the case with the vanilla sounds mind you. But you would only hear the stuttering when you played the vanilla voices in an external player like winamp. RTW would "correct" it because the silence time in front and at the end of the sounds were sufficient.

I'm glad there are such resolute and vigilant people in our user base, able to fix things themselves. I really appreciate it. Hope your fixes will be implemented soon!

Aha, I see. As for the work, let me just say that EB gives me enough motivation to devote my time to do this
