and two failed rockets validates the airstrikes?
When it occurs to a man that nature does not regard him as important and that she feels she would not maim the universe by disposing of him, he at first wishes to throw bricks at the temple, and he hates deeply the fact that there are no bricks and no temples

    Yes.
There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

yes, provided the airstrikes serve some military purpose in reducing future capability to launch attacks, without disproportionate civilian casualties.

Ane then the airstrikes go and kill a few innocents, angering any surviving family scion, thus creating a stronger cycle of violence. Who said a "strong" economy and Western ideals led to effective strategies and an ability to defeat an enemy who is weaker than you?

Oh Israel, how innefective you are, how I hope you become less so.

    meanwhile, in other news.......
Sorry Hooah I could have sworn they claimed mission accomplished last time.
Perhaps that indicates that bombing the hell out of people doesn't get the required result.

Well, at least they didn't say it while standing on an aircraft carrier...

Well that last attack obviously did well... but how the hell is Hamas functioning with so many members dead ?

Maybe grizzy had a point last time... the only way to defeat terrorists is hearts and minds... by just killing people your simply overloading Hamas recruitment lines...

Perhaps abondining a useless and counter productive strategy (kill them all) and adopt a useful and proven strategy (hearts and minds)

How about something really mind blowing and radical. Something like having a viable nation that isn't blockaded, doesn't have it's infrastructure repeatedly destroyed, and who's citizens are free to travel and meet family members? I realise this is pure pie in the sky stuff

Wow thats a hard one .
I really am going to have to stretch the brain cells on such a hard question .
    So lets see errrrr....bombing
Damn , that doesn't work does it .
    errrrr....unilateral declarations and unnegotiated actions
Damn that don't work either .
Errrr...hold on there must be something , some wierd concept that just seems to elude me at the moment , I am sure if I really push I will be able to think of it eventually .
errrrr....hey I know, its a really radical concept , such a strange concept that it really is out of this world so its not surprising people havn't considered it before .....but perhaps you know that outlandish thing called diplomacy where groups actually talk to each other might be an idea .
