Last of the Romans - Efthymios ek Sparteos
Certainly, though it will take a few hours, since I am at work and cannot do it until I get home.
I will queue up a group of RBGs for you to choose from this evening. However, they will not spawn until the game moves to the next turn. That might be a day or so away.
shame i can probably wait though....probably

If you will have difficulty waiting 24 hours for an avatar, this might not be the best game for you. This game often moves slowly, with turns taking somewhere between 24 and 72 hours to complete on average. The game has already been in progress for about 9-10 months, and it will continue for several more months before it is completed. Patience is pretty much required.

Last of the Romans - Efthymios ek Sparteos
Just download the most recent save from this thread. If you're not making any moves in the game, you don't have to post or anything; just download the save, unzip it to your save game folder (the save game folder inside the Stainless Steel directory, NOT the main M2TW save game folder), and load it up. You can look at it and play around with it as much as you want.
I will make sure you get bumped up to member status. It might take a few days though.

i just looked i don't have a save game folder in stainless steel
Last of the Romans - Efthymios ek Sparteos
All you have to do is start one campaign game and save it - this automatically generates the save folder.
Thanks that worked. Shame i can't play a normal stainless steel game without LotR patch as it looks like an awesome mod.
I see what everyone means now about deficit.
Can someone summarise what's happened because people are going on about rebels, 4 leaders (wtf?) and the capital is not constantinople and i have seen that many arguments are ongoing.
Last of the Romans - Efthymios ek Sparteos
There actually is a way to do that, although I'm not computer savvy enough to have ever tried.
Current situation: The Komnenoi family have been Emperors for the whole game. However, by chance the game had made Methodios Tagaris, one of the Empire most prominent generals, Caesar (heir). Methodios didn't get along with the last Basileus and the latter declared war on him (nothing really happened as everyone was too afraid to come out and fight eachother).
More recently Caesar Methodios seceded from the Empire, but both his player and the Basileus's had their characters killed off for various reasons. The game made Methodios' son Tagaris the new Basileus and Adronikos Komnenos the Caesar.
While this is going on Ioannis Erotikos killed a member of the Order of Saint John (House controlling the Levant) and stole his army. However, the other characters don't know what happened for sure and he has been claiming to be looking for the real killer (sounds very O.J. Simpsonish...). Joining him is Kousinos Sophianos, who also managed to trick an army from the Order (or the Order is in on it. Truthfully we likely won't know everything until long from now). They marched all the way to Const "Looking for the real killer". Once arriving close to the capital, they announced that the old and now deceased Basileus was the killer and that Kousinos was really the illegitimate child of Anna Komnenos and Makedonios Ksanth...something or other, who had an affair and secret child in a story from months ago. Through this claim of Komnenoi blood Sophianos declared himself the rightful Emperor and declared war on the old emperor's nephew that was in the capital, Ioannis Komnenos III, Caesar Andronikos Komnenos, and Basileus Ioannis Tagaris.
Right after this happened Andronikos declared he was the rightful Basileus, Ioannis Tagaris being the son of a rebel with no great deeds to his name. Meanwhile Ioannis III declared that the old Basileus (note, the old Basileus and this new Ioannis Komnenos had the same player) had named him Emperor of the western half of the Empire.
Thus the succession wars started.
Did I mention we are deep in debt, assailed on both sides of the Empire by foreign enemies, and have at least one more civil conflict in which Ammonathas Kalameteros of House Asteri declared war on Senator Appionas (inactive character holding two settlements) and faced a counter declaration from my character?
Erotikos and Kousinos then fled from the area of Constantinople, possibly because they seemed at risk of being badly outnumbered, although I do not presume to know for sure the cause of any of their actions. Now they're coming back around the same road, though whether to Const or to grab Sinope or something I have no idea.
Basileus Tagaris is going after the Turks and hoping to stay out of the wars. Caesar Andronikos challenged Erotikos and Sophianos to a battle and is marching in their general direction but has little chance of reaching them now that they're running in the opposite direction again. That, plus a number of mountains in their way make for a long march in the best of times.
These movements, plus the agonizingly long march Erotikos and Sophianos had made to Constantinople to begin with, gave rise to the coined by longtime player flyd name for the war as The War of Marching Around a Lot.

Kermit's made a TWS2 guide? Oh, the other frog....
So a certain family (Komnenoi) have been emperors for the whole game but because this game is the one with the random emperor assigning? but the caesar didn't like the basileus and declared war on him (was this cause he didn't like him or because he wanted to be basileus?) and no-one joined th fight because they were scared.
Methodios (the heir in the previous example?) quit from the empire (was this from rebelling or what?) and both the basileus and methodios died and methodios's son became basileus.
while all the fighting between basileus and caesar is going on erotikos kills a member of a family controlling a region and steals his army. You say that the people don't know what happened but how can't they as if they killed im they must've been at war and this needs to be announced in public and a fight needs to be overseen by those two people and the real killer of who? Kousinos tricked an army from the order of saint john? (how do you trick an army away?) and marched to constantinople looking for a kille rof someone. They claimed the old basileus (are we on about the guy who was basileus at the beginning of this?) killed this person. and the last bit is on about a story where two people had a secret child and kousinos said he was that child? and declaired war on the emperors nephew (any reason for this?)
[QUOTE=Zim;2145657]Right after this happened Andronikos declared he was the rightful Basileus, Ioannis Tagaris being the son of a rebel with no great deeds to his name. the andrpnikos from earlier says he's rightful basileus (which would be correct if Tageris died wouldn't it but i don't think he has) but then you go onto say that tagaris was the son of a rebel with no deeds to his name and only sons of 'great men' should be basileus and this was his claim to the throne. How can two people be the same player when someone dies do they get a new one?
a war started simple paragraph :P
we're deep in debt (which i knew) getting attacked on both sides by enemies (Moors, egypt, venice) and Ammonathas declared war on an inactive person with two settlements so you declared war on him.
The two people from paragraph 4 fled from constantinople because they would probably lose the fight but you are not sure about this and now they're going back to constantinople or sinope?
Current emperor (son of the guy who died in paragraph 3) decided to stay out of the wars and is fighting the Turks and the Caesar (also from paragraph 3) challenged 2 people (from paragraph 4) to a battle and is marching towards them but they're going back to constantinople (the opposite way) and mountains are blocking a quick route
All of this plus the march the two people from paragraph 4 made flyd name the war the war of mraching around a lot
OKAAAAAAYY.....how long does it take for normal people to understand this because it's probably going to take me double the timemaybe i could split this up to make it easier. So did i understand this correctly?
Last of the Romans - Efthymios ek Sparteos
Actually, as I recall the Basileus declared war on the randomly assigned Caesar because of some conflict over who one of the princesses (the Caesar's daughter) would marry. But, yep, as far as I can tell nobody wanted to take the risk that sending men to battle the other wise would entail. I'm guessing part of the reason is that the Caesar was based in Egypt and the Basileus in Constantinople, so either side marching on the other would be a big investment of time and resources. So a certain family (Komnenoi) have been emperors for the whole game but because this game is the one with the random emperor assigning? but the caesar didn't like the basileus and declared war on him (was this cause he didn't like him or because he wanted to be basileus?) and no-one joined th fight because they were scared.
Basically. Secession was something new added. Basically if you meet certain conditions (at least two adjacent provinces, plus a few others) you can declare that you rule your own little empire. It's pretty tough to do successfully, though.Methodios (the heir in the previous example?) quit from the empire (was this from rebelling or what?) and both the basileus and methodios died and methodios's son became basileus.
The Order member killed had his character killed by the GM as part of a story rather than in a war between the characters. That's why technically none of our characters know for sure how it happened.while all the fighting between basileus and caesar is going on erotikos kills a member of a family controlling a region and steals his army. The same player who had his character killed for the story took a new character, joined the Order, took an army, then joined Erotikos on his march towards Constantinople. Assuming the Order players didn't know it would happen I would take that as the army being stolen.
Not sure why they declared war on the Emperor's nephew, except perhaps they knew he would claim the throne, or maybe just because he owned Constantinople.
The player of the old Basileus (Ioannis Komnenos I) had his character killed off via console then took over the new character Ioannis Komnenos III.the andrpnikos from earlier says he's rightful basileus (which would be correct if Tageris died wouldn't it but i don't think he has) but then you go onto say that tagaris was the son of a rebel with no deeds to his name and only sons of 'great men' should be basileus and this was his claim to the throne. How can two people be the same player when someone dies do they get a new one?
I don't say great deeds are required to be Basileus. Andronikos claimed it. Tagaris' father was a rebel who seceded from the Empire, though.
Yep.a war started simple paragraph :P
Yep, looks like it may be a short war, though...we're deep in debt (which i knew) getting attacked on both sides by enemies (Moors, egypt, venice) and Ammonathas declared war on an inactive person with two settlements so you declared war on him.
Pretty much. I don't pretend to know exactly what they're up to. The most I can say is that a lot of men waited for them at Constantinople, that they turned back away for a turn or so, and that they are now moving back in that direction, and could take the road west to Constantinople or north and then east to Sinope. The two people from paragraph 4 fled from constantinople because they would probably lose the fight but you are not sure about this and now they're going back to constantinople or sinope?
YepCurrent emperor (son of the guy who died in paragraph 3) decided to stay out of the wars and is fighting the Turks and the Caesar (also from paragraph 3) challenged 2 people (from paragraph 4) to a battle and is marching towards them but they're going back to constantinople (the opposite way) and mountains are blocking a quick route
A very apt name if I may say so.All of this plus the march the two people from paragraph 4 made flyd name the war the war of mraching around a lot
Looks pretty much right to me.OKAAAAAAYY.....how long does it take for normal people to understand this because it's probably going to take me double the timemaybe i could split this up to make it easier. So did i understand this correctly?![]()
