Not sure if this issue is similar or a problem on my pc but last evening threads were taking a while to open, and once fully loaded a loading symbol would come up on the tab bar and a loading bar at the bottom of the page. I can't remember the exact address but it started with www.timeanddate.com and it seemed to repeatedly be loading this site every 10-20 seconds, but it wouldn't actually redirect me there, or even load a seperate advert just seemed to repeatedly load up nothing...

I am using Firefox and while I do see ads, I am not forced to any sites.

Very useful when at work or when little ones are running around nearby. Last thing I need is a locked redirect to some site

Generally software is like people. The unpopular ones don't get viruses.

So I'm sure that Safari should be fine too. Even though it is a very good browser, it isn't yet popular enough to make it into some sort of zombie browser.
Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

Same here. Since I installed Firefox (with AdBlock and NoScript) I have no trouble whatsoever, wheresoever. Without this thread I wouldn't have noticed any change.

Just got redirected to fling.com or something while using Firefox. Not a pleasant surprise when sitting at work with the morning coffee.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

Chalk up another one to the fling.com redirects.

    Hello,

The host is still working on it. This is doing more harm than good, so I remove the (likely) responsible part for now. Please let me know whether it sorts any effect.

No redirects today, but there has been a high-pitched metronomic beep that seems to be emmanating from the ad banner. The only way to get it to stop, besides clicking the ad banner is to log off.

I see that too CrossLOPER - looks like one of those numerous instaggibed Nike Jordan shoe posts that have been appearing all over the place over the past few months. Looks like the frontpage could have been connected to new threads and then had that connection broken sort of locking on those.

Just this morning, I've been hijacked by http://www.mycash4goldsite.com/ three times already - the last time when I pulled up this thread to post this. I've been hit by the others mentioned here too over the last couple of weeks. I'm using IE7.

Make sure that there's nothing on your system that is continuing the hijacks from your end while we're trying to sort this stuff out. Spybot S+D is a good tool that can be used to track down, eliminate, and even take preventative steps against Adware and Malware. (it has a blocking feature that supports IE and firefox)

In PA here and just got redirected to www.geniusinspiration.net. This has been happening on both my work and home computers, though both are running IE.
