The Imperial Codex
Being a concise and accurate guide to ruling an Empire or Nation in these modern times
In these troubled times a Ruler might wish that there existed some form of manual or guide which he might consult before deciding on important state matters. I, Lord de Beane III, have consulted with and interviewed over one hundred of the greatest minds of this fine age. I have used their combined knowledge, and much of my own, in order to pen and print this one-of-a-kind manuscript that may function as a ready assistant to a ruler in need of guidance.
This guide may be considered to be an Omnibus of four smaller works, each having it’s own individual title. They are as follows:
Encyclopaedia Bellum – an exhaustive and informative guide to those facts and figures which a competent ruler might need to know in the administration of his Empire.
The Art of Statecraft – concerning decisions made on the Global scale, and dealing with the weighty subjects of economics and strategy.
The Field Marshall’s Guide – concerning the art of war upon the battlefield, and techniques with which a competent leader might defeat his enemy.
The Captain’s Log – concerning the art of war upon the briny ocean waves, and containing much advice on the proper utilisation of the tall ship.
Out of Character: If you haven't guessed this is the introduction for a guide to ETW. Yes, the whole thing will be written like that. No, it probably won't be finished very quickly. But when it is you can read it while playing and you totally won't have to break immersion. The encyclopadia bellum will be finished first, it will be a summary of the various actions, provinces, units, cities and everything else. I'll do more once I have the game, but I needed to do something so the wait didn't drive me insane.
So what do you think? Sound like a fun idea or should I leave the guides to the professionals?
