Well, I ain't Hungarian, and this ain't nothin' like the Beatles, but if you like oldies but goodies, there are Listz's Hungarian Rhapsodies. No. 6 in D-flat Major was the last one I played, a truly magnificent piece. The fluttering trills, flourishing cascades, and the continuous 16th-note octaves in the finale--so demanding, so exhilirating! These pieces invoke the vivacious spirit of the Hungarian gypsies.
This performer's articulation and dynamic range are quite good, particularly for such a young artist. His speed and accuracy flag a bit at the end (understandable, lol), but overall a very strong performance. Youtube doesn't do it justice. Live concert volume and acoustics ftw.
