As I posted, why would or how could anyone sell a pc in order to buy a Mac? Something’s not quite right here? This was a rhetorical question followed by a obvious statement, now that this has run its course.

I was merely amused by the slight similarity the nature of "greeks vs romans" arguments and the nature of "pc vs mac" arguments have: until they reach absolute academic level, they are a matter
of personal opinion and can thus be carried on ad absurdum. Which I think is a great lot of fun anyway. But I felt like sharing my amusement with the other readers/posters on this thread. I did not mean to offend or criticize you in any way. In fact I mentioned alternate operating systems myself in an earlier post...

To reward the effort - here's the usual grammar-conform construction of that sentence:

"Mein Herr, ich nahm keines Weges Beleidigung oder Kritik wahr."
Dear sir, in no way did I perceive insolence or criticism.

or more closely aligned with your english text:

"Weder war ich [in irgendeiner Weise] beleidigt, noch nahm ich Kritik wahr."
Neither was I insulted, nor took I criticism true.

took...true ~is roughly equivalent to~ did...perceive

So it amounts almost literally to
Neither was I insulted, nor did I perceive criticism.

To make it something to write down in case opportunity arises to use it, here the precise phrase:

Ich habe [an Ihren Bemerkungen] keinen Anstoß genommen.
I have [at your remarks] no offense taken.

The bracketed part is interchangeable depending on the context - maybe it was not remarks but a speech or whatever - but the twisted position of the parts of the sentence is actually the usual one in German.

bleh, i build my own pc, and slam in my own XP prof into it. I am my own warranty, and i plan to submerge the whole lot in a tub of mineral oil when i have time to get to it.

Literally, "It bypasses my arse".
