These are my five favourite mercenaries:
Misthophoroi Phalangitai (Mercenary Hellenic Medium Phalanx)
Misthophoroi Toxotai Kretikoi (Mercenary Cretan Archers)
Iberi Scutari (Iberian Medium Spearmen)
Qala'im Balearim (Balearic Slingers)
Samnitici Milites (Samnite Heavy Infantry)
and the Scortamareva, but they weren't in the poll ;)
edit: and I have to add that I don't know all mercenaries :)

I just chose these three; my Hayasdan campaign is pretty much the first time I started using mercs, before I just used them as quick garrisons for my newly conquered towns (it's a miracle I never ended up like Epeiros after they hired some Gallic mercenaries).
Anyway I like these three, I don't have an opinion about the others.
Misthophoroi Hoplitai
Skuda Baexdzhyntae/Daha Baexdzhyntae
Misthophoroi Keltohellenikoi Hoplitai
I've chosen:
1. Misthophoroi Toxotai Kretikoi (Mercenary Cretan Archers) - expert archers perfect for any army.
2. Thraikioi Peltastai (Thraikian Peltasts) - very versatile troops.
3. Dunaminica (Celtiberian Heavy Infantry) - reliable and cool looking heavy infantry.
4. Shipri Tukul (Babylonian Heavy Spearmen) - great spear/mace/heavy armor combo, especially good as infantry for nomads.
5. Galatikoi Tindanotae (Galatian "Wild Men" Infantry) - these are just awesome! Love to hire them as hellenic factions and roleplay their wild nature on the battlefield (not listening to orders, charging headlong into the enemy and generally misbehaving).
