Strange Siege

I went to fight the battle for Kyrene, and this is where the game set me up!? (Notice I'm the one with the Ram)


Captain: Errrm, General?
General: Yes?
C: I hate to point this out...but the city's over there...
G: Ah, but isn't the view breathtaking from here...
C:
G: The Twitter of birds in the trees, the chirp of crickets, the sun on your back..
C: But the battle sir !
G: Ah...the feel of the grass on your feet, the breeze through your hair..
C: .......Sir, many good men will die today, fighting in your honour!
G: Ah yes, but just look at the view!
C: Your parents were brother and sister weren't they Sir.......
G: Indeed.....and?
C:..........................nothing sir

Yes they can. And you are not suppose to start out at the edge of the map in a siege assault abttle either. But once, I had reinforcements with rams come to my aid in a siege of a Gallic city. They first moved through dense forest and then through woods.

All you have to do is tell them to move by right-clicking a location outside of the forest, and they will move. One cannot move them inside the forest, but ordering them to get out of it works well enough.

I had exactly the same with the Romani! The ram eventually got there though.

I also had a that the enemy also had a ram in the inside of the town... (1.0)

I also once had a "funny" siege battle. I was attacking Alexandria with a rather small stack and the enemy sallied....anyways, I got deployed INSIDE the city, on a street with phalanxes blocking every possible exit. I thought I was in trouble until the AI decided to start moving all of its units to absolutely random places. No idea what got into them...
