Manumission, but it has not been used, as I would be willing to prove if consensus is reached by the Senate on a suitable target.

Fair enough. I was under the impression that each power was had by only one person of each faction.

Due to private contact had with a number of senators I believe that there are a limited number of abilities that non-extremists can command. I may of course be mistaken.

I WAS JUST SUSPISCIOUS OF THE FACT (whoa... caps lock, leaving it because i'm too lazy to type) that you appeared in two groups behind the scenes, and spoke of killing chaotix...

Alright... as I do not feel like reading this wall of posts, I will just give my own opinion on the matter.

I know that YLC was not mafia, as closely to fact as is possible for these games. He did have guards, which is why I sought him out in the first place, and he was very clear that he wouldn't be playing on the side of any mafia group, even though I left the opportunity open. (Basically, I said I'd follow his lead, no matter where it took me, so long as I had protection.)

I know that splitpersonality is not mafia, because I've seen his role pm. I also know that he was one of the vig group with Sasaki attacking me while he was supposed to be protecting me, but given my own admitted role I cannot say that I blame him for the first try. Hopefully now I've proved my intentions to most.

Further, I came back with results that LittleGrizzly did have guards around him last night when I blocked him- this means he is most likely our power role.

I cannot say any of these same things about Curio, which means that he is the most suspicious to me. For now, I

Question: When did I speak of killing Chaotix?

Answer: Never, you're getting me confused with someone else which would be understandable given that you have never spoken to me directly...

OOC: Thursdays to Saturdays are difficult for me to find time to be online due to work commitments among other things but I'll attempt to find time tomorrow to comment further on any queries, theories or suspicions that anyone may have with regards to my good self.

    Vote:Atheotes

Mostly self preservation as I seem to be the only other target and I won't be back online prior to the end of the phase, but partly because AFAIK he's said nothing constructive since I joined the game...

I still say Curio is mafia..... Its just to coincidental. all his RP'ing is simply there to hide his true evil!!!!!! Atheotes is a lurker, he can go at any time. if Curio doesnt go now he probably never will. I have to say that the senate is controlled by the Populares right now, and I don't like the direction they are going.... (never trust a Populare yeah I said it, you all don't have the good of the republic in your hearts... well most of you anyway, some of you are fine.)

In almost every game I played in, Curio got lynched for the wrong reasons. Doing research and analysing posts seems pretty normal behaviour to me. I think Curio is a bad lynch.

split gives me more bad vibes. Don't know what the case against atheotes is, he seems WoG bait to me. Guess it's based on inside information.

Andres, might I ask why I give off these bad vibes?

twice you asked me if i would participate and i said yes... but you never sent me any instructions.
third time you sent me instructions and i participated. and you are calling for my lynch?
can anyone atleast tell me what the case against me is?
I am dead now... i guess i had it coming since i did not contribute anything.
There are so many people who have voted for me without asking a qn...and some of them are sure to be the mafia. think about it.

I was also curious what the case against Atheotes is, unless it's simply his lurking I can't see any reason for so many votes. I'm pretty sure he did participate in last nights action, the two people who may have backed out don't seem to have been mentioned by you at all Sasaki.

    Default Day VII

“Though silence is not necessarily an admission, it is not a denial, either.”
    - Marcus Tullius Cicero

The Senators sat in bunched groups, whispering to one another, most afraid to speak up. Eventually someone stood and read a letter written by the late Sasaki Kojiro. The letter was written in nearly indecipherable gibberish, indicating that Sasaki would likely have died of a brain disease relatively soon, had a blade not gotten the job done more quickly. However, some Senators concluded that the letter constituted evidence against atheotes and soon a great many votes were cast bearing his name.

A small group of Senators scoffed at the lack of evidence in this case and instead began accusing Gaius Scribonius Curio of being a traitor to the Republic. One of these was Chaotix who rose and presented a case before the Senate, stating that others who had been slandered had instead been acting nobly, but that the same could not be said of Gaius Scribonius Curio. “Ignorance!” shouted a voice from one of the benches. Chaotix was somewhat started by the comment and momentarily lost his train of though.

Taking advantage of the situation, an older man clad in a fine, white toga rose and began to lecture Chaotix about how his arguments made no sense. In fact, the man claimed, they were an insult to the entire art of rhetoric! Certainly, Chaotix had presented decent logos, but where was his pathos and ethos? Chaotix blushed, and tried to sit down, but the old man continued berating him anyway. After several minutes of criticism, Chaotix could take no more. He sprang to his feet, shouting, “what in the name of Jupiter Optimus Maximus do you want of me?!” The older man smiled and stated that he simply wished to educate Chaotix on the proper method of discourse. Chaotix could, the man added, prove that he had absorbed the lesson by changing his vote to atheotes, against whom the best arguments had clearly been laid. Chaotix, tired of the criticism, meekly complied.

The final tally showed that atheotes had been selected for proscription. He looked suspiciously around the Curia, eyeing those who had voted for him and shaking his head sadly at his fellow Optimates. “If this is what you have decided, then so be it. I fear that the unwillingness of so many of the Senate to speak up and defend the Republic will result in the final destruction of all that we hold dear as true Romans.” With that, he walked calmly out into the forum, where the crowd had gathered to hear to proscription proclaimed from the Rostra. They sprang upon atheotes while he was still descending the stairs and he was soon engulfed in a sea of clubs and knives.

As the plebians who had made the kill went off to assess their new property, the Senators returned for their homes to await yet another night of uncertainty.

Now see, a real Optimate in this circumstance would be, of course, annoyed. But I highly doubt that we/they would actually be stupid enough to try to start a civil war of the entire town because of it.
