    Default Happy Father's day...

    Happy Father's Day everyone!!!
Don't forget to call your Dad and tell him you love him and to thank him. And don't forget to guilt your family into taking you out to eat and doing yard work for you!!!

And if you don't know who your Daddy is, slap your Momma for being a person of morally dubious character...

Hmm. It's not until september here.

But isn't it still saturday over there, so shouldn't you celebrate in about 10 hours?

I'll probably be banned by then so I needed to get the shout out.

Morally dubious greetings to you, old comrade. Success has many fathers and I couldn't possibly honour all of mine tomorrow!

So I'm getting the treat from my kids instead. After all they're two real pieces of work, I've even been told they're mine, so I'm darn proud of them.

Happy Father's Day to all our esteemed fathers.

I'll be seeing my dad tomorrow, hopefully taking him out to dinner. Him being not physically well, and his younger sister having died not too long ago, the Prince of Darkness has cast off his deceitful cloak and revealed himself in full regal splendour to me.

    So:
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch. Always tell your parents that you love them, or solve that which is in the way of saying that, and remember that your parents are gods that have breathed life into you, and but mortal creatures.

There isn't a calling plan that allows me to contact the Colonel in the afterlife, but I'm sending him good thoughts today, and my kids drew up some adorable pictures for a Father's Day gift. Very touching.

Good wishes to all Orgah dads!

I don't think my girls quite yet understand the mother's day/father's day thing (they understand Christmas!). But it was okay, I got big hugs and kisses today for no other reason, than I am "Dad", or maybe mom told them to do it.

I can only echo the sentiments expressed in this thread - happy father's (s'?) day to the dads here.

One of the people at service last night said something I thought was pretty cool on the subject.

"I've been called many things in my life by 'Dad' is my favorite."

Thanks to Dev... Dave for bringing up this thread. I hope everyone who is a Dad had as nice a day as mine. I went sailing with a buddy, got a nice card from my son, and received a new pair of casual khaki slacks and a navy blue polo from my daughter and my wife. All in all a great day!
