    Exclamation Re: Ludens

Congards to you Ludens, and to the EB forums, which will now be clean, but it is not cangrads to us, as have my own fears about ourselves. The days of the free EB Forums are gone! We are going to get infraction for the tiniest little things, just like in the Frontroom and Backroom!! You people are like bulls in line for the slaughetering. You have no idea waht you are getting. Except for those of you who are already accustomed to Frontroom!!!

So this is how liberty dies - with a thunderous applause...

Considering how awesome Ludens has been as a participator of the EB fora, I have to say that I do not appreciate your comments. Ludens was picked because he is incredibly level-headed and a clear-minded individual with a good record as a moderator at other fora. My suggestion is that you reconsider your current stance because, to be quite honest, I personally don't care what you think about "freedom" here (read: your and others' perceived freedom to run amok on our boards); I doubt the rest of the team does either.

And since we're being honest with each other, you should thank the powers that be that I am not a moderator and that Ludens is.

Lol, you and your stony-faced EB Team Memebers . Sadly, I saw this coming...

But honestly, would I quote Padme Amidala from Star Wars: Episode III (the one that shamed the whole series) in a serious quote? You decide. I knew mostly everyone would recognise the quote and laugh, but I also knew that one of the Team members would probably not get the joke and post anyway. Oh well. I had to work a long time on recognising humour too

So I have a real question: what did Ludens moderate that gave him the green name and the avatar before he got this position?

    EDIT:

Hehe, you did not get this came from Star Wars and not from Rome either

Actually, I would be elated if you were the mod. I like your hard-line stance against spam.

    It sounded awfully like Tacitus.

    But my comment still stands.

Don't worry AP, I'm sure Ludens loves democracy. The powers you've given him he will lay down when this crisis has abated!

*with a sour face* Yeah, and I am sure all the Front-/Back- room mods love democracy as well, but, well, look at them

I think it's possible you just weren't funny in this instance. In any case, the joke is in very poor taste.

Not that it matters much to say it on the public thread, but I think this was a good decision.

    I forgot something.
