So you assumed GH, who has killed two brits and fights with a cutlass, was british? Killing his own team would be a very... unique strategy.

one of the pirates acting in a quite inappropriate manner with one of the wenches. He called him a lowly cur, and the pirate captains parrot called him a lowly cur right back and a fight broke out.

I am that wench.

I'm siding with pirates because these brits don't need to protect me from anything.
