is there much changes in patch 1.5

hello

is playing ETW no expansions patch 1.5 (i think)
i played the game in 1.2 but as the old pc never allowed me to finish the game (white screen of death)
i stopped playing it, now i have a new pc with windows 7 and want to make a new crack at it, i have gotten the impression that patch 1.5 have major changes in the game.

were can i read about them, and is there any tips for a budding swedish fraction player?

and i read in the main forum that there were some free DLC to be downloaded how do i do that from steam?

From 1.2 to 1.5 practically everything has changed.

It is a more difficult game all around. Don't go rushing off looking for trade spots with out a good fleet.

Guard against sea invasions, especially in the early game. If you haven't played in a long time then don't start on Hard or Very Hard.

As to Sweden, I have not played them yet in 1.5 and no new guide has been written, the last I checked.

1.5 should make a world of difference to 1.2. Not in the least that it should be playable for you (even with your old PC). It's still not up to it's full potential ( still some bugs) but it's quite enjoyable nontheless.

Check the guides forum for any new entries on Sweden. But even if there are no new entries, the older advice is still useful.

The 'free' DLC was for those who preordered ETW and didn't get what was promised.
