Sorry guys, I've been away in London for a few days.
I warned the Swiss Confederation in a previous message that I would not be able to support them, should they decide to to expand in the direction of Italy. Not only did they do that, but they also secured the Franche-Comte from Spain! Both of these seem like moves to aggravate and annoy the King of France.
As far as I know you made no public claim to the land, and it wasn't owned by anyone. If you didn't want to negotiate with me over the land, sign a peace accord, a trade agreement, or even stake a claim, it doesn't make much sense to me that you'd use this as an excuse to raise a big army. No one would see any aggression here as legitimate, so perhaps instead of threats (tactful and understated though they may be) we could discuss what is troubling you. I do have grounds to be there as it was unclaimed territory, first come first served. And I didn't expand all the way south to get a port like I wanted to do, I expanded radially and in all directions, as you can see. It wasn't intended to slight you.

The same goes to you. Withdraw your forces both from Burgundy and from Northern Italy, or it's war.
EDIT:Could people put in their sigs what state they are, since it's confusing/annoying having to go back to the map on page 5 to work out who is who.
