Shao Kahn was ready. Furious but ready. Furious because the mark dared to choose him as a contestant and ready because he couldn’t wait to rip someone apart. The Tournament officials made their way over to the contestants. “Lord Kahn, it is time to prepare for your battle”. Shao Kahn just sneered at them which caused them to back away a few feet. However one man spoke up, “Where is your opponent?” Shao Kahn raised one hand and pointed him out. Shang Tsung was shocked, Kahn was pointing in the other direction. ‘Out of sight, out of mind’ thought Shang Tsung and he quickly hurried away. The figure that Kahn was pointed to how ever was frozen. “Umm what’s going on here?” Cried out Kung Lao. The tournament officials surrounded Kung Lao and dragged him off to isolation. “No, wait, there must be some mistake, I am not meant to fight!” Shao Kahn laughed. “You are now mortal. Prepare to die!”

Kung Lao has replaced Shang Tsung as the contestant for the evening battle.
