Thread: Den döda vinkeln

Do you think you could give us the letters of the card?

Flip card over and examine back, see if it looks like a credit card, or more of a personnel access card from a business or something.

Giving you text makes it all too easy for you. Character can't read it, neither can you.

You flip the blue coloured card over to see the white back, its got some text in the middle, up the top right is a sixteen digit number, 4 groups of 4. Down the bottom left is a circle just like the one on the front, but this time its coloured.

I say we get caught by the police. There ought to be someone in the police station who can help us.

    Here is the plan

    1. Get a Beer
    2. Pretend to be drunk
    3. Start taking all the clothes off and start parading in the street
    4. Get caught by the cops.

    What do you think?

4 groups of 4, must be some kind of bank card, maybe showing the card to people we could get help to find the place.

    EDIT
We don't need to get arrested to get help from the cops

That logo is in my memory somewhere, but tantalisingly out of reach. It's driving me up the wall trying to rack my brains.

See if the cell phone has a contact/phone-numbers list, saved messages, or anything else of note on it.

Hope you don't mind me giving orders, shouldn't take too long or kill anyone.

I'm just happy to have some orders.

You put the card back in your wallet and that back into your pocket. Out of your other pocket, you pull out the cell phone. Opening the contact list, you see two entries.

    Avril
    Louis

You go back to the main screen and are relieved to find the date and time. Its 9:16am, Friday the 22nd of Jan, 2010.

You have two messages from the afternoon of yesterday, first from Avril.

"Lets go to a bar tonight. We havent done anything all day! Love, A."

    The second, from Louis:

"Yeah, I'm up for it Michael, I'll meet you there around 7."

Sitting down and thinking through the haze that clogs your mind, you remember that your girlfriend is named Avril, and your best friend Louis.

    "I don't know where I am.. Help"

and see if you can actually send a message or not.

You type the message out and press send.

The messages have been sent out.

    Check Wallet for Money/anything else.

Well you didn't mention the bank card until we looked at the ID, so I figured I'd double check.

Pulling out your wallet again, you are dissapointed to find that nothing has appeared besides the photo ID and the blue card.

Ah, well worth a try. I'll keep wasting our time on trivial things until someone else takes over.

Look at the ID card for Locations; such as place of birth, state/country issued.

Don't be afraid to do something...you're still across the street from where you started

Theres no other infomation on your ID card. It simply says your age and has a photo of you.

Okay then I guess I'll start walking.

Go right down the street and start walking down the sidewalk. If we run into anyone I'll politely and clearly ask "Do you speak English? (assuming thats the language we speak.) If they seem to understand, then we'll stop to talk to them.

Go right facing the building you are outside, or facing the street?

Ummm... right, down the street from the perspective of looking out from the alley we started in.

You walk a short distance (< 50 metres) and the footpath stops going forward, but turns left. The road gets a bit confusing here. It seems to be one way, with an entry and an exit, just where the footpath turns. On the other side of the road, there is also a bit of the road painted red.

You are on the corner of the one way street and a side road. It seems to just connect to another road a bit further down (100m)

On your side of the street are more buildings, they all look to be closed. On the other side of the side street is a bit of parkland, very small. On the side of the street where you woke up, more shops are visible, and a few are open.

Crossing the road without incident, you stand outside a shop with some asian looking symbols on thr front. The shops continue to the left until the corner.

    Asian, okay.

We should look at the other shop fronts to see if we're actually in any asian country or if this is just like a chineese food place...

Walk down to the corner while looking at the shops, especially making sure to look for any writing we can understand.

You make your way to the corner. Along the way you pass a few different shops, but you can't really understand what they sell. All the writing is unreadable, but its not in symbols, like the first shop.

You stand at a set of traffic lights. You can finally see the sun. You work out your position.

You have been walking west. You are at the north corner of the intersection. Traffic lights control this intersection. Back to the east is where you came from. To the south you can make out one or two apartment looking buildings. To the north lie many tall buildings (10-20 levels).

Further to the west you see huge buildings. You guess they may hold 50-60 levels in them. The biggest concentration of civilisation seems to be in that area.

Can we identify any of the letters, are they even remotely similar to english lettering?

You can recognise the letters, but I'm not giving them to you, as you'd be able to figure out what is written, but the character wouldnt.

I'm not going to google translate or anything, but what I meant was more, are the characters of an english nature, or like Korean, Japanese, etc.

    Your answer works

I say we go back to the asian charactered place, perhaps they speak english there, yes I know that sounds crazy but... who knows.

You said they were asian symbols, did that mean the writing was like, kanji?

Cause that's what I meant by characters.

Kanji is the word for Japanese meaning "Chinese letters"
So yes, they are Chinese characters.
