We're in Queensland. The Smart State

Alright, did we get the voice record after we woke up, or before it? I forgot.

    You are mean, pever.

Ask if he could translate the part the man said on the voicemail and if he has any advice where we could start looking for our friends. Also if he knows of any anti-French organizations active in the area. Then show him the card we have in our purse and if he knows what to do with it.

You play him the voicemail and ask him to translate it for you.

"Theres quite a bit of unsuitable language in that small bit of english, but it basically says that last night, wherever you where, is the last you will see of them. Then a phrase that doesnt really translate. Anti-french organisations? Only the fact that everyone knows the french are a bunch of pretty boys."

You show him the blue card.

"Oh I see you've got a go card. Smart move, you'd hate to be stuck trying to get on one of those buses that doesnt accept money anymore. Public transport is yours now, my friend."

Well, that settles the card icon. I did use the buses in Brisbane, but I honestly don't specifically remember noticing the symbol, it just rang bells.

Oh and Pever: are we speaking French here? Because April in French is.... Avril! So yes, I would like to help April.

Lets try and construct a hotline with a police.
So that if something goes wrong, we know exactly who to call and they know exactly what is happening to us.

Then, I guess we can start hitting for the bars? That is where everything started yes?

Last October/November I was in Brisbane for a few days, passing through really.

I think we should get the police on board. I mean come on... we're reporting a kidnapping here, they're not seriously going to tell us "sort it out yourself".

We should say as much to this officer, tell him that we seem to be suffering from memory loss, and off to show him the place where we came around.

Yeah. Sorry for that, I wasn't aware they changed the meaning of purse to only apply to women.

Anyway, now that we know we are French, maybe we should check out if we are gay.

Well you European types are always stealing our birds, so you can't all be gay, even if you act it.

Ask the constable if he can accompany us back to the place where we woke up to see if there is anything to indicate what may have happened.

"I'm sorry, I won't be able to do that, however, you're free to ask Krystal here. I must be off. Good day to you sir."

He nods his head and exits.

Is she the same girl we talked when we first walked in? If it is, then can't speak French. We aren't going to get far.

Look around the room for any maps of Brisbane. If there is one, try to pinpoint our starting location by tracing our route on the map

Perhaps we can attempt to speak to her using words that sound similar in both languages, possibly even writing them down.

It would be better than nothing, and possible better than pantomiming.

    EDIT:

Scratch that, just realized we don't KNOW english so we don't know what looks similar :(

Hehe, but we do know French (or at least some of us do), so we could use words which are similar. I get the impression that would be against the spirit of the game though.

    That's what I meant.

I know french, and english, but our character would not know what words look similar :/

Unless pever threw us a bone, and we wrote out like a sentence, and she said "I know this word" or whatever.

    not that we'd understand :/
