You walk back into the garage and step over to your landlord's corpse, you kick it a few times to make sure it is not moving. You get no response so you begin rifling through his pockets, in his front right pocket you find a note. You put it in your pocket.

In his front left pocket you find his wallet, with his ID, and his license in it. You pocket this as well, you never know.


In his back pocket you find his house key, as well as the key to what you assume to be the small shed behind the house.

You pocket this as well.

There were no car keys inside, but you now have access to the gasoline.

What do you do now?

You pull out your shotgun, holstering your pistol and sheathing your wakizashi, and you step towards your landlord's house.


You kick the back screen door in, RE4 style, but there are unfortunately no Spaniards on the other side of the door, and your extra effort goes unnoticed by all. You liked how it felt anyway.


You are back in the kitchen, there is a small key rack in the hallway, you step towards it and pull out the one set of keys on it. A big "Ford" logo on them clue you in that these are the keys to the landlord's truck.



You think to go to the street from here, but the front door is barricaded, so you search the house some more, carefully.


Stepping from room to room, you find little, there is a safe on the floor near the bed in his bedroom, but it is empty.

You step back outside into the backyard, the only way to the front is through the gate in front of the truck to your left.


What do you do, where do you go?

The gate must be trapped somehow, as it's the only entrance split provided for us. I believe, if we go through, we will be attacked by multiple zombies.

Therefore, in the interest of saving bullets, I vote that we make our own entrance by going back inside and blowing the front door off it's hinges with the shotgun. That will probably look a lot cooler, too. Any zombies we do find may just run away in terror and awe of our awesomeness, and then we can get into the Ford and run them down as a sort of mini-game.

As a note... the ford is on YOUR side of the gate in the backyard...

It's a thin chain link gate, just made to separate the back of the yard from the larger part of the driveway. There's a flimsy "locking mechanism" but no actual deadbolt lock or anything.

It's a pickup truck, very large, big grill, pretty high off the ground, about twice the height of the fence from tires to roof.

Yeah lol we could take out the gate and any zombies with ease lol... All we need now is a friend with M60 on the back lol.

You step over to the truck and open the driver's seat door. You step on the side railing and into the truck, you examine the fuel gauge. It is apparently at a 1/4th tank. Not trusting the gauge that has been here for god knows how long you step outside and close the door and inspect the gas tank, it is on the left back side of the truck.

The cap is still intact, you sniff inside and it smells of gasoline, you are unsure of how much.


You begin to think of places you would go... and your mind wanders to thinking about your sister.... you would need more gas to get to her house, going by your own small car's standards, so you're sure you'd need more in a pickup....

You wonder if she is okay, she lives on the other side of the island from you, and the last you heard from her was..... that..... voicemail....

You mind drifts off.

...

You snap back several minutes later.


What do you do now?

You get into the car and put the key in the ignition.

You twist it away from you, it kicks and sputters a few times, you release the key and it begins rumbling like a truck should. You wait a second to check the fuel meter a second time.

The needle moves up slightly, but is still under 1/2 a full tank. You place your items down on the seat next to you for ease of carrying them, you are now in the truck and it is started.


As you look through the windshield ahead, you notice several zombies have stopped to look at the truck, you've caught their attention.


What do you do now?

*add in... Drive striaght through the gate aiming for the zombies at full acceleration... Have the windows up and your shotgun ready at your side...
