Childish brawling is not manly. Apolagise to him for slamming his head against a wall, if he then says he'll take your girlfriend off you, offer to step outside for a fair fight. From your posts in this thread I suspect you insulted him, which is why he raised his hand.

As far as killing him goes, you have no right unless he threatens her; even if it were legal all you would do would be to make her afraid of you.

Cute_Wolf, there are basicly two possible scenarios.

A) She is seriosly interested in him. If that's the case, as I mentioned before, just take it as a man and move on.

However, there is another very possible scenario...

B) She is just attention seeking. Long distance is hard and often lonely, so she is desperate for some attention. She would prefer attention from you (being her boyfriend), but if she cant get it she is ready to take it from anywhere, and she is flattered when an older colleage flirts. When you hear talk about "him being more serious" it's really all about her wanting YOU to be more serious.

If you really love this girl (have no idea as to why you do, plenty of girls out there who wouldnt treat you like this), then what I would suggest you to is to take her to a romantic dinner. Don't go all emotional on the topic, and dont have it as a main point for the conversation. But about when the desserts comes (and a bottle of wine is downed), mention that you dont like her accepting other mens approaches when she is in a serious relationship. Make HER on the defensive side, dont even get into who hit whom and when and where and why. Just keep it very short, something along the line of:

"By the way, about [insert his name], maybe you havent got the attention you deserve lately. But set yourself in my position, how would you feel if another girl were openly flirting with me, and I accepted it and hung out with her? You'd want to scratch her eyes out, right, specially if she told you to your face that she wanted me. I'm sure you get my point, how was your dessert?"

Just have it said and move on, NO dwelling on the topic as she will very fast turn the tables around to what you have done wrong if you do.

And about the guy, just laugh him off if you meet him again. Make her understand SHE must deserve you, it goes both ways, and you wont run after her if she treats you with disrespect.

The not so nice part of me wonder why you want to be with a girl who disrespects you like that. I also think that what you want from medieval times is not the duel system, but to have the belief system back that women must have men making decisions for them as they are unable on their own. There is no such thing as "stealing" someones girl, and not even getting married is a failsafe for making a relationship work. She migh meet more interesting people, sucks I know. Only thing you can do about it to try and be interesting yourself :)

Of course... I know in this case... I was at the wrong side... as I never talk about marriage in serious manner with her... but that man pursue and discuss serious matter about that.... and for my past action of hitting him... I just recently know directly from her (just talk on the phone this morning), that after I hit his head, many of her friends ADVISE HER TO BREAK UP WITH ME, WHAT THE HELL?!?...

Get the discussion about it over and done with as soon as possible. There's a phrase in English which is "turning over a new leaf", which means seizing something like this as an opportunity to get a fresh start. If she wants to take it more seriously, then this is the perfect opportunity to do so.

To me this says that she knows what your faults are and she accepts them, which means that she must care about you a lot. If you guys are really this close I don't think you have anything to worry about.

My advice is this: Don't waste your time and energy being jealous and mad. Yes going after someone else's girlfriend is a really lame thing to do, but there's nothing you can do about that. Instead of worrying about losing your girlfriend, which will drive you guys apart, just be glad that you have her in your life. Try to be a better boyfriend* and work on strengthening the relationship that you have with her.

Then proceed to approach your fist to his mouth at a high velocity. Provided you put enough speed, when/if he ever thinks about what he was doing or thinking about approaching your girl, his gonna remember what happened to him.
