I agree. Say late in the game the mafia finally learn who the cop is and they go back to night one and kill the cop. Does that mean all investigations the cop did become null and therefore mafia lynches based on that result never happened? I'm not sure how well this game would work, so therefore I must test it (early sign up).

Yeah the cop one is the only one i am having trouble figuring out how it would work since if I give the result to him going back in time to kill him wont help the mafia.

No you can go all the way back to the start but you can only do it once after that no more time travel. At least for now that is what will happen I am still fluid as to the whole game mechanics.

Personally, I think you should try the mechanic out in a smaller game of twenty or less people; keeping track of forty people going back and forth is going to be a helluva lot of work.

Having said that, I'm interested in seeing how this plays out so I'd definitely sign up.

Indeed, 40 is overkill for something this complex but I love the idea.

Ok worked out the game mechanics to make it fairly balanced starting to write role pms

If anyone wants any character in particular to make it into the game just post them here and they may make it in.
