From the rules:

If we get 41 people, there will be 5 mafia members, and 16 other role PMs. That makes 20 vanilla townies.

The Frenchman appeared in the Reenk write-up. Reenk was abducted, he didn't die. Whatever role did that, it's an unusual one and we need to be very wary of it, but the fact that Reenk isn't technically dead doesn't strike me as a SK. Could be some kind of scum-recruiter, or could be some kind of long-term roleblock. Impossible to tell at this point.
