I've been playing some rounds as France and I must say that eventhough I'm a great power in the world I'm still hanging on by a thread. It's a bit early to give a decent comment on darthmod gold but it's looking good.

What about BAI? TBH, the downloads are so big its hard for me to justify downloading each new version... atleast for the super duper Commander version. :-\

the BAI is good, still not human-like but good enough to make me lose a few battles even when i had the advantage.
once, as France, GB routed my entire left flank with MILITIA, after they pinned my right and center with line infantry and applied 8 units of militia to my 3 line infantry holding my left flank.
yea, i couldnt believe it either.
but all i had to do was wheel my right flank around a crush them.

but there is a problem with the "no forts" mode where the enemy will just hang back no matter if you are bombaring them to death for an hour.
