Military

Captain Gaioboramus attacked rather large Roman army led by Captain Galerius. His army had a large number of comitatenses and foederati units and they proved to be quite difficult to beat.

Captain Tancred is currently next to the capital of Alemanni. I ordered him to stay there and not besiege the city because Alemanni have too many warriors and could easily overwhelm Captain Tancreds mostly peasant army.

Diplomacy

I visited Rome and I managed to sign a ceasefire with the Western Roman Empire!

I first proposed them ceasefire and demanded 2000 denari during the next 5 years(1000 denari/10 turns) but they refused and offered to pay us only ~2200 denari. In the end they agreed to pay us 2500 denari and they allowed us to pass through their lands.. for now.

Hortar the Alemanni is near Captain Gaioboramus but didn't attack our warriors yet. Perhaps they don't want to waste their lives in a bridge battle.

Engaged the Alemanni prince. He fled (through Gaibomarus' army which hadn't entered the battlefield, I can add) next to Visimar. Re-engaged and forced a battle ending in a clear victory. The Alemanni prince died in a melee in which Gildo was involved.

Military

Alemanni capital is still besieged. Defenders have no plans to surrender or to break the siege by attacking our forces.

Moved Captain Gaiobomarus towards Augusta Treverorum. Captain Tancred, who had the same orders, was stopped by Frankish warlord.

Diplomacy

Burgundii and Lombardii have signed an alliance. This means that all the northern tribes have allied themselves with the Burgundii.

Economy
