Please, people of the Holy Bovine Empire, do not cast your vote upon a man who's campaign is built upon empty promises and smoke and mirrors. The position of Consul is one of great responsibility, and requires one to think of your fellow man, and not abuse the position for ones own personal gain.

I vow as the successor to Lacy to present a transparent leadership that is focused on aiding the various peoples within the Holy Bovine Empire - that includes all of you here present today.

How so comrade? Yes, I do indeed wish to be elected, but how is that inherently selfish? I want to be elected so I can help my fellow men, and will keep my books open so that others can see my intentions are pure. The influence I gain will be put towards insuring the safety of the people - I will make no offensive maneuvers unless it is the will of the council. That is, and how it should be.

Are you professing that the interests of this council are inherently against the good of the people, Stefan? I should hope that is not what your insinuating - for then your retort would take on an entirely new meaning.

But to satisfy you, no, I would not bow to the secessionists, the rebels. Their wish is to restore the Kingship of Beefdom, a decidedly theocratic and authoritarian regime, and topple the Holy Bovine Empire, which is decidedly republican and freethinking in its character. These insurgents are thus not altruistic in their intentions, but rather selfish and think nothing of the consequences of their actions to the people.

Such people will never find sanctuary with me.

It is interesting how my loyalty is questioned as such, I only inquired as to allow you to explain your position further. I did not question your loyalty, Stefani, merely your argument, so that I would awaken you to it's inherent flaws. I hold no ill will towards you, and am glad you see the good the Empire does.
