Just before General Hankerchief finished tallying the results of the voting, Azathoth called an immediate assembly of all PEXDET members at the center of the encampment.

My fellow revolutionaries, I know I have been less than the ideal Communist. So I'm not going to employ ingenious rhetoric or make eloquent remonstrations to try to save my own life. I won't even use my final moments to warn you about my top suspects, because many of us have been responsible for ideologically unsound behavior, too many to consider such behavior a criterion for lynching, unless the nationalists and Japanese already outnumber the true Communists.
