    Day Thirteen.

Diana Abnoba ducked behind something and waited quietly. She strained to hear where Winston was moving to, but couldn't discern anything. She gripped her new weapons tightly and slowed her breathing.

YLC is only stating what he's been told.

Think though, what does he have to gain about lying about the prize money, considering he's dead and he has no physical impact on the game?

    This makes absolutely no sense.
Firstly, how do you know he is stating what he has been told and not leading the others around again?
And that he is dead is exactly the issue, he is dead yet claims to get a victory no matter what we do.
What makes more sense to me is that if anyone gets the gold, that person wins.
If everybody flees, he gets a minor victory since he died, yet still managed to keep the house and the gold clear.
Had he killed everybody and survived, he would have gotten a major victory.

So the only way for him to get a minor victory would be to convince everybody to leave and not take the gold.
I mean if you really see this as a standard mafia game(which is not what the rules say about the game at all!), then why did you suddenly start to believe everything a dead mafioso says?

    Belief, quite frankly.

The alternative is accepting defeat when I put alot of effort into the game, particularly towards the end; losing to mafia is one thing, losing to fellow town is another thing entirely.

Why not just let them fight or just take the money and go?

They're moving around the house in an attempt to find and kill each other, both trying to get the jump on the other; they can't attack one another until they're in the same room, and cannot take the money until there's only one remaining person.

but logically, they could just take the money and go to the exit. Then if the other messes about, they would just get trapped behind and die. Also, since it is a house, wouldn't they simply walk past eachother in the corridor or know where eachother are?

This is not a typical house, Beskar. It's the MuRDeR MaNoR , where the most devilish things happen. Logic has no place here.

Logically they are inside of a place where space and time and pain and death are eternal. They are in the very realm of hades, perched high above the fires of hell.

Your logic eats broken glass here.

ATPG, may I post my victory conditions, or parts of my role? I don't see it in the rules and wish to clarify.

Your PM box seems to be full ATPG, so I'll have to post the order in public:

Refuel the hedge trimmer, sharpen the vegetable peeler, plug in the trouser press. I'll make my stand in the Living Room.

    Day Thirteen.

Winston Hughes waited in the Living Room for Diana Abnoba, wielding the lawn trimmer. Diana approached from the south, with the lawnmower blade in one hand and a power drill in the other.

Winston Hughes: That million dollars is mine. You should have left with the others, my dear, because I'm armed to the teeth. Now, back down.

Diana Abnoba: I don't think so. I didn't come this far just to have you walk away a millionaire without a fight.

Winston Hughes: You're outmatched, Diana. You cannot hope to defeat me.

Diana Abnoba: Why don't you put your money where your mouth is, little boy.

Winston Hughes: If I can slay a demon, I can easily slay you. But if you insist on your own demise, I'm only too happy to oblige.

Winston Hughes started up the lawn trimmer and ran toward Diana, and used the couch as a springboard to leap high into the air. He brought the spinning blade crashing down on the spot where Diana was standing, just as she rolled out of the way. Winston swung the deadly machine at Diana's head, but she blocked it with the lawnmower blade, using the weapon like a shield. She took the power drill and stuck it into Winston's leg, causing him to scream in pain. Winston kicked Diana in the chest and knocked her down, and tried to slice up her pretty face with the whirling blade of the gas-powered trimmer. Diana used the lawnmower blade again as a shield, but the trimmer was getting dangerously close to her face and she didn't have much leverage. She threw the heavy power drill at Winston, hitting him in the jaw, and then kicked him in the arm and knocked the trimmer away from her body. Winston quickly recovered, but Diana was already to her feet, swinging the deadly lawnmower blade like a machete. Winston used the long handle of the trimmer as a staff, and blocked several lethal-looking blows. Diana then delivered a kick to the shin of Winston, and swung the blade as hard as she could. Winston dropped to the ground and only just barely got the trimmer between his head and Diana's blade. But then he swung the trimmer and hit Diana in the face, knocking her backward. Winston used the trimmer like a hammer, and began battering Diana with it, as she attempted to deflect the blows with her own blade. But the lawnmower blade was an improvised weapon, not meant to be held this way. It began to bend and weaken, and there was no firm place to grip it. Within moments, Winston knocked the lawnmower blade out of Diana's hands. She did a back flip and grabbed her power drill, and landed in the dining room. Winston rushed forward, and swung the trimmer as hard as he could, trying to slice Diana's neck open. While Diana did attempt to move out of the way, the trimmer blade cut her deeply in the shoulder, causing her to scream in pain, breaking the lawn trimmer in the process. Diana took the power drill and shoved it into Winston Hughes' stomach, and pulled the trigger, drilling a big hole in Winston's stomach. Winston yelled in surprise and pain, and dropped the lawn trimmer, falling backwards and clutching his bleeding stomach.

Diana took the lawn trimmer out of her shoulder wound, and stood up, with a vengeful look on her face. She grabbed the trimmer by the long end and swung the heavy gasoline engine part at Winston's face. Winston raised his arms in defense, but the weapon still impacted him in the face, knocking out several of his teeth and busting up his jaw. He rolled over in pain, and Diana swung again, beating Winston in the back, causing him to have a cracked rib and a bruised kidney. But the pain of her shoulder wound caused her to drop the heavy weapon. She kicked Winston in the side, and in the face, and knocked him to the ground. She took the power drill and straddled Winston's back, preparing to drive the power drill into his skull. Winston however reached for a weapon he had stashed underneath the reclining chair: A wooden table leg from the Parlor. Just as Diana switched on the drill, Winston wriggled his body sideways and smashed Diana in the head with the wooden leg, knocking her to the ground and causing her to drop the drill. She was dizzy and disoriented, and Winston stood up to press the advantage. He pounced on Diana, swinging the table leg and trying to smash her head in. Diana grabbed one of the dining room chairs and pulled it in front of her face at the last moment, breaking the force of Winston's attack. Winston knocked the chair out of the way, and then raised the table leg one more time to finish her off.

This time, however, Diana lifted her leg and drove her spiked heel into Winston's groin, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to drop the table leg and clutch himself in pain. Diana grabbed the table leg and moved against Winston. Winston, however, grabbed the two coat hangers that he had fashioned into twisted metal claws, and slashed Diana in the chest and stomach, slicing up her pretty body and causing her to yell in pain. She still brought the table leg down on Winston's head, bashing him in the skull. But since she was in so much pain, and because she lacked the upper body strength due to the shoulder wound, the blow wasn't fatal to Winston. She rolled off of him and clutched her stomach, weakened by the shock of being sliced open in this manner.

Winston shook off the blow as best he could, but he was still quite dizzy. He slashed at Diana's legs, until she kicked him in the jaw. Then she wriggled away and headed for the kitchen. By now, the metal wire hangers were all bent, and useless as weapons, so Winston dropped them and grabbed the table leg and stood up. Diana was nowhere to be seen. He looked behind him, to the living room, and checked the dining room.

Diana appeared from behind the kitchen counter with her two butcher knives. She hopped up onto the counter and dove towards Winston Hughes, just as he turned around and tried to raise his weapon, delivering a flying kick to Winston's chest and knocking him into the reclining chair in the living room, both of them tumbling down and landing in front of the television set. Winston raised the table leg and used it to defend himself, blocking Diana's attempt to stab him in the face. He then used it to push Diana off of him, and he tried to get to his feet.

Diana got up quickly and drove both butcher knives deep into Winston's chest, stabbing him in the lungs. He tried to scream in pain, but the sudden stabbing knocked the breath from his lungs. He bashed Diana in the face with the table leg, weakly, knocking her off of him. But then he dropped to his knees, dropped the wooden table leg, and pulled out the blades, coughing up blood and gasping for breath in vain. Somehow he managed to sputter out some words.

Winston Hughes: If I can't..... have the million.... dollars.... then no one.... can. I'll see to it.... you never leave this place.... alive......

Diana Abnoba: That's my line. But you're forgetting one thing.....

    Winston Hughes: And that is....?

Diana Abnoba: THIS IS MY HOUSE.

Diana grabbed the wooden table leg from the floor, and threw it at Winston's face. He dropped the butcher knives and covered up, and the wooden table leg bounced harmlessly off of his arms. When he dropped his guard, he saw Diana's heel heading for his chest. The force of the kick knocked him backwards, sending him flying headfirst into the television set, smashing the glass and breaking the machine. Sparks flew out of the TV, and the weight of his body caused the entertainment center to tip over, dropping several hundred pounds of weight down onto the busted TV set. The broken glass and the frame of the TV was forced down on Winston Hughes' neck, decapitating him instantly.

The sparks caused an electrical fire, and the living room began to burn. Diana ran as fast as she could, heading for the Master Bathroom. She found the Mirror and dove through it, ending up back in the normal world.

Diana Abnoba landed in the Master Bathroom of Askthepizzaguy Manor. The image of the mirror world began to burn.... until it was replaced with a normal looking image. Diana walked out to the Parlor, where she was met by a familiar-looking man in a cloak. He took off his hat.

Askthepizzaguy III: Congratulations, Diana Abnoba. The Demon, Yeqon Lucifuge Caacrinolaas, has been defeated. You personally defeated Winston Hughes in battle, and everyone else has either fled or been murdered. You are the sole remaining guest of Murder Manor. You have now earned the million-dollar prize, and the rights to this property. It now belongs to you. Take good care of it.....

    MAFIA ROLE PM: YLC

    YLC- Yeqon Lucifuge Caacrinolaas

However, until you are revealed, you shall be referred to as "The Nameless"

There's a book on Demonology in the house which contains the name Lucifuge, but not Yeqon or Caacrinolaas.

You are the serial killer, and only true evil in this game. Everyone else is a basic normal person, all "townie".

MAFIA OPTIONS: (NIGHT ACTIONS, please choose one.)

POSSESSION- This allows you to murder anyone, anywhere... by possessing someone else in the house and forcing them to murder themselves or someone else in that room. This requires you to pit your strength against the SUNSHINE UNITS inside that room (light).

BOOST STRENGTH- You will gain 1 strength every night to possess someone and allow them to resist Sunshine units, regardless. But, instead of murdering, you can also choose to gain 2 strength while causing a scary event which doesn't harm, but gets progressively scarier. Your demonic powers increase with every night. The kills get more violent and supernatural.

SABOTAGE- the ability to blow out candles, turn off power, break lightbulbs, switch the manor's circuit breaker and turn off the electricity, or tear out batteries. This can be done by you even if you're not in that room. Just tell me which room to sabotage. The circuit breaker is in the garage.

MURDER- This is your standard ability to murder. You can pretend to be possessed when you do it. Your demonic form has taken the shape of YLC, an ordinary townsperson.

Not night actions: (Either not an action or doesn't happen at night)

CURSE- the house is cursed. Randomly, and unknown to the players, 2 of the rooms will incur a 50% penalty against all Sunshine Units.
This happens automatically, and without your knowledge or approval. You won't know which room is cursed.

Search room- You can do this when you move to a new room, which happens during the day.

Use item- Some items can be used. Batteries can be added to flashlights, matches and lighters can be used to light candles, and lightbulbs can be replaced. You can do this during the day.

Interact- You can flip switches, try to hide behind furniture, or wield objects as weapons. (as if weapons will save them.... )

    ___________________________

Starting strength: 1 (Remember, townies don't have "strength" so don't ever mention you have this attribute)

Starting items and weapons: None. (No one starts with any, not even you)

Cursed objects: There are objects in the game which, when wielded by you, or by others, or when found in certain rooms, will add to your strength when possessing people. These are counters to the items which emit light, which have the "Sunshine unit" attribute. Cursed objects have a certain amount of strength, which is added to your own if it is in the room with your victim when you demonically possess someone. That means, YLC, even if you possess a cursed object, it's only useful to you against others in the room you're in. When other people are carrying such objects, that is bad for them. And even if they don't pick them up, it's still bad if they are nearby (in the same room).

    ___________________________

    Win conditions:

Your performance will be graded. Since you are the only evil and you have no partner, one decent lynch and you're gone, my friend.

So, the more people who end up dead, the better your score. The more you personally kill, the better your score. If you die and they go for the million dollar prize, but wind up all dead, you become the ultimate victor of the game. If you are the last man standing, you become the ultimate victor of the game. If someone wins the million dollars, you will likely end up in second place, but with a graded score to reflect your miserable defeat, marginal defeat, marginal victory, etc. The scale will have many different divisions in it.... you must get at least four successful murders. However, past that point, I simply count how many total dead at the end of the game.

    Total defeat (0 successful murders)
    Overwhelming defeat (1-2 successful murders)
    Great defeat (3-4 murders)
    Standard defeat (5-6 dead)
    Minor defeat (7 dead)
    Marginal defeat (8 dead)

    Draw (9-10 dead)
    Marginal victory (11 dead)
    Minor victory (12 dead)
    Standard victory (13 dead)
Alternate Standard victory: Even if you do not murder enough to gain a standard victory, if people go for the million dollar prize and those people all end up dead, you are guaranteed an automatic alternate standard victory, or better score if you've earned one.
    Great victory (14 dead)
    Overwhelming victory (15 dead)
    Total victory (16 dead)

CRUSHING VICTORY: Last one standing. Survive the entire game.

I may amend this role PM if I need to, if I've forgotten to add something in. I admit I am rushing to start the game.

    TOWN ROLE PM

This is the standard townie role PM. Everyone gets one, even the evil power, so don't bother forging stuff.

You are: _____________ (insert your name here)

    • You are invited to stay in my mansion. If you have the guts to stay inside my mansion long enough that you're the last person standing, you win the million dollar prize and are the guaranteed winner of the game. If you for some reason wish to leave, you lose the million dollar prize. And you're not allowed to leave until you solve the mystery of Murder Manor.
    • If you leave and someone else wins the million dollar prize, you lose the game.
    • If you leave and no one wins the million dollar prize, then you have survived the game and also win, but you're not necessarily guaranteed first place. But it beats losing the game (and your life).

This is a standard mafia game but with a twist. The game can be solved simply by lynching the guilty party or parties. However, you are allowed to do the following:

    Vote to lynch

    Vote: Andres
    Unvote, Vote: Generalhankerchief

    standard as ever.

    Vote to change rooms:

    Vote: Move
    Unvote, Vote:

    • This is another option you can do instead of lynching. This replaces the No Lynch option, and it also overrides any lynch vote you may have placed, and vice-versa.
    • You are allowed to abstain.
    • Please remember to unvote.

    Interact with your environment:

    • During the day, you are allowed to see everything that is in the room you're in, and if you see any objects of interest, you may interact with them. You can pick up some objects and carry them with you. Some objects you cannot move, but you can interact with, such as flipping a light switch on or off. You automatically search any room you are in. You do not automatically pick up objects or items and you do not automatically interact with things.
    • If you wish to carry the same object as someone else, then you must decide amongst yourselves who gets it, or play rock, paper, scissors and that will determine who gets it. Or you could hold a vote.
    • If you wish to give an item to someone, you may do so, provided they are in the same room as you are.
    • While you're given a general freedom of what you're allowed to do, only certain actions will have any effect. If you decide to take off your clothes and run around naked, that won't have any effect other than annoying the game host. Try to be serious, it will help.
    • There are no hidden items or objects or things of interest. Everything is visible.
    • Your actions do not need that much detail. Either you use something or you don't. Either you enter a room or you don't. No need for Resident Evil style orders. If you wish to hide under or behind furniture, close a door and lock it, that's fine. It may have an effect, it might not.
    • While the manor is meant to be real, much of it has no effect. For example if I mention a dresser filled with clothes, then it might just be a dresser filled with clothes. However, there are many objects inside the manor which have an effect if you use it or carry it.
    • You are meant to interact with the environment and the objects inside the manor, but you may refrain from doing so if you wish. You can just try to lynch people.
    • You are meant to learn more about what is happening if you wish to solve the mystery of murder manor. You should eventually be able to work out what you can do to improve your chances of success.

This is an experimental game, but I repeat that I am not playing, I am not a valid lynch, and I am doing nothing other than observing and doing the writeups. I cannot win or lose the game. Everything else is up to you. Also, limit your accusations to people who are actually confirmed players. I am not using outside players either.

    Victory conditions:

Alive and Last one standing: Total victory and ONE MILLION DOLLARS
Solve the mystery, escape with your life, and no one wins the million dollar prize: Standard Victory
Solve the mystery, wind up dead, and no one wins the million dollar prize: Marginal Victory

Solve the mystery, escape with your life, but someone wins the million dollar prize: Marginal Defeat
Do not solve the mystery, and wind up dead: Total Defeat

    Items:

    • You're allowed to carry as many items as you wish, provided they can be carried with you.
    • You begin the game with no items.
    • You can use them or interact with them by sending me a private message.

    Interaction:

    • You can interact with stationary things in the manor by sending me a private message.
    • Some things must remain in certain rooms. I'll let you know what, if anything, can be removed.

    Rooms:

    1- Master Bedroom
    2- Master Bathroom
    3- Walk in Closet
    4- Parlor
    5- Kitchen
    6- Garage
    7- Attic
    8- Dining Room
    9- Living Room
    10- Computer Room
    11- Guest Room
    12- Guest Bathroom
    13- Tool Shed

MAX OCCUPANCY- No more than this number can move to this room.

    1- Master Bedroom (6)
    2- Master Bathroom (3)
    3- Walk in Closet (3)
    4- Parlor (5)
    5- Kitchen (3)
    6- Garage (6)
    7- Attic (6)
    8- Dining Room (4)
    9- Living Room (6)
    10- Computer Room (4)
    11- Guest Room (5)
    12- Guest Bathroom (3)
    13- Tool Shed (3)

YOU ALL BEGIN THE GAME IN THE PARLOR, which can fit all of you if you never decide to move out of the parlor. Once you do that, it holds a maximum of 5 people. Don't ask why... it has to do with being able to sleep comfortably.

This should be complete. If I have forgotten to add something, I will inform you of any changes.

    Congratulations Diana!

Don't really see how the gold was a trap, the one with the gold would always come out on top, the ones who fled secured themselves a third place, but still below the monster.

    Here's the trap:

Notice how Diana's strength was at 9, and Winston Hughes' was at 8? If those numbers had been the same, both of them would have been killed.

Since the house is full of 1, 2, and 3 strength items, there was a reasonable chance that they could end up tied for strength, and none would have gotten out alive.

Also, if many people were fighting for the money, it's possible that combinations of 3 or 4 in the same room could have resulted in a mass slaughter. It is only because of sheer luck that it ended up having a clear winner.

Good job on second when you had the hardest role by far, YLC; being the sole mafia in a game of the size was never going to be easy, and you did a bloody good job of it... shame I accused you too soon!

Congrats also to Diana; at least the moral high ground won out. :3

Wow. I was sweating that one, I didn't think I had enough points to win (My 1st solo win, yeah!) And, one of my first, lasted til the end of the game, games.

Thanks to Pizza for hosting this wacky game. Great job as usual!

Great job YLC, you had me fooled for some time during this game. Difficult being the only mafia in a game, you played it well.

    Thanks to all, great game!!!
