I'm just assuming and, since I know nothing about the problem, I can't possibly give an explanation.
On a side note, I even mistyped my username because of my hurry to 'meet' with the other TWCers here :o

Anyone from The Great War mod here? TWC being down is bad, but I'm having withdrawal from the Great War thread! I guess I could find some people on Steam but it is not on this computer
And I agree with the 4th and Sabbath as the reason the site has been down for so long, that seems to be a legitimate reason
The site was down before for this long a couple weeks ago, when I first posted this thread
I'm a refugee from the Total War Center *insert fake cough* I was able to make it out of there before everything went away. I was a fan of the great war before the gas started leaking all over the forums killing most of the people there.
Any people say computers don't have personality, what are the odds that the crash occurs when GED is not available due to a holiday and Sim for religious observances? In fact last time it also crashed when Sim was unavailable and GED unavailable as well. Coincidence I think not, the server is planning something I tell you!
Greetings my dear brethren. I find myself once again seeking refuge in this( to me) very unfamiliar place.
Let's just hope we don't loose any valuable posts because of this unfortunate crash:(
Just out of curiosity is twc.net still at 64.20.60.99? Are there other addresses anyone is aware of? I only ask because I tried to do a traceRoute to that server to see if there was an alternate "hop" opportunity - there was not; a mere 3 hops, then 404.
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.
Made it through the door! Finally!!!
.org, that password system of yours really had me perplexed. I am worried my brain will fry one day trying to remember that overcomplicated password!!!
Anyway, I'm on now, and I hope to be able to find some fun stuff to do on this site before I need to go back :)
Salve. Well ok once i've been to Rome seeking for the villain, i thought ulala now i cant wait walking along the ancient Roman town ulala look at the colosseum at my right ulala bling bling marbles.. young lads anywhere blablabla. Disappointment came to me just after i discovered that Rome was basically just a stage playable on his walls, a forced path to reach Sistine's chapel populated just by militians trying to kill me.. once i entered the chapel and found the pope with his magic pastoral stick, a huge "wut da" hit me in my stomach... wait i never realized that Razinger could've thrown people as Borgia did to me in the game 40 feet away. During the street fighting with the pope (one of my sexual fantasies i admit) i was told inside the crypt i could find god.. what god? your god not mine.. btw who cares i open the door and ullala there's a sort of nightclub but without sex operators inside full of neon lights. A girl appeared to me and she's called Minerva.. Minerva tells me that she's known as Jupiter and Uranus too etc. by first human civilization around.. mmm that suck. If Minerva's a transgender + Minerva is god = god is a transgender mmmmm
NEXT!
For me, www.twcenter.net resolves to 208.69.72.113.

If you're looking for things to do to pass the time, some things worth considering are in the gameroom, as others might have mentioned.
Some games currently looking for players include:
- Brawl Royale (a non-mafia game that is in sign ups)
- Break You (a mafia game currently in sign-ups)
- The Paper Telephone game (Always accepting new players! check out the most recent writeup on the last page)
- The Trouble in Waiting
- Europa Mafiaversalis
You could follow the action of a game that is in progress or completed, just to get the feel of what a mafia game here is like.
- Star Fox: Lylat Wars (includes links to the game thread)
- Pick your Power (game begins on post 34, rules are on post 1)
- Murder Manor III (a game for all you horror-lovers out there)
- All those Pretty Stars (a role-playing game)
- Daggers in the Night (a big mafia game) and the story thread to that.
- Star Wars: Return of the Sith and the Story thread for that.
- A huge battle royale game based on Resident Evil- Dark Falls (game thread) I guarantee you haven't seen a game like it! 60 players, and the story is novel-length! Just read the prologue for a taste....
- The Shadow Fort and the summary.
Does this stuff look interesting, folks? If so, consider hanging around for some upcoming games from our excellent gameroom hosts. These aren't ready yet but will be hosted in the future:
- Parasite: Earthbound
- Dragon Age: Origins
- Star Wars: Fall of the Order
- Netherworld III: Tainted ashes
- The Big New Yorker
- And a massive game coming this fall (I hope!), Capo di Tutti Capo IV.
There's been three huge games prior to this one, and we ALWAYS need players for Capo games. Last time we had 76 players. If you have the time to spare, consider joining some of our games! They are in my opinion extremely fun and quite addictive!
Some images to pique your interest, with links.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Long story short: Come to the gameroom! The Mafia is calling you....you'll be a Made Man in no time.
Can't sign up to any games? That's because you're not a member of the gameroom!
- Go to the following link: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/profi...editusergroups
And edit your groups to include the Gameroom! If you're looking to actually play one of our fine games, send GeneralHankerchief, Sigurd, or Yaseikhaan a hello message and tell them you wish to play mafia games. Any problems, contact me!

I'm a refugee from TWC. Any idea what happened to it?
Its weird how people can get addicted to TWC so quickly. Like for me now TWC is down when i go on the internet I have nothing to do. I used to go on TWC and look at threads and maybe post a few but now nothing. I am dying of boredom!Anyone else have the same feeling?
Also is there anyone who could tell us TWC refugees how far the techies are to fixing TWC? I heard it was supposed to come back up today.
In peace sons bury fathers, In war fathers bury sons.

NEWS: Mafia2's out for Xbox 360.. tested it at Gamestop.. waiting for pc version
so, anyone interested in playing M&B Warband online?
Be well. Do good. Keep in touch.
I've been enjoying the time off though dreading the workload that has amassed. All those polls in the CVRIA vote forum and reports to get cracking.
I've been enjoying Mount and Blade: Warband in SP mode Masaky. Currently trying out a lovely modification for Warband with the Anglo-Saxon setting around the year 900 or so.
Devoirs The Empress
"Act well your part, there all the honour lies." -Pope
"England Expects That Every Man Will Do His DUTY" - Nelson via Mr. Pasco at Trafalgar 1805
I am missing my Hot seat campaign and TATW news.
On the plus side i am playing the crusades campaign and enjoying it.
I think cpdwane that our Empress is facing a load of work as Curator when she gets back to the TWC. On the bright side no new proposals to monitor, and if the crash was really bad maybe no old ones to worry about either!
