Good grief. Half of me still feels like autocylus is guilty, the role claim feels real off. But nightbringer's whole post reeked of guilty mafia trying to turn the lynch... I'd say lynch nightbringer. Thread behavior first and foremost, as Pizza said a long time ago, on a page far, far away. Also, going back and reading his earlier posts, especially around the 21st/22nd, he seemed to like reminding people he was "scanned venomian", even though he wasn't under any pressure.

If you look at the opening post, it lists a whole list of characters, and also has a featuring list of spaceships. General Pepper is listed in the list of characters, and there is a picture of the Bloodhound in the many more section of the spaceships. Also, the Bloodhound did indeed show up in a write-up as part of the arrival of the Cornerian fleet on day 7 (post 1093), and before that as an image on Day 2. Not participate in the fighting? On Day 8, and I quote "The Cornerian fleet, comprised of Lylat Cruisers, Lylat Carriers, and General Pepper's flagship, breaks through the first line defenses and begins to assist in the battle." And by the way, it's James McCloud, who is a Fox, not a Wolf, and who is technically listed as a dead player character (that player being Atpg, our lovely host). There has been no sign of any literal NPC all game long, except for possibly the Venomian fleet Commander that showed up in day 8, who I would not be at all surprised to discover after the game ends was one of those Venomians who got converted, possibly even you yourself, nightbringer.
Secura, I wish I could show you what I'd hidden in my role PM, but since I didn't hide or change anything, I can't do that.

Right... common excuse for both townies AND scums, although arguably scums use it more. Just saying, doesn't prove anything ;)

Its time to finish this, scum. You've been riding a trail of trust ever since you made that fake role-claim as general pepper. I don't need to go over everything that makes it clear that the details are fake, as that has already been made clear to everyone.

He has? He's been thoroughly questioned, doubted heavily, and even at one point of time, was actively considered to be lynched.

Do elaborate further on why Autolycus is guilty Master Nightbringer

I would like to see your opinion of how all the public information co-relates to his guiltiness. Or are you at this stage, trying to avoid making yourself seem scummy with a bad judgment or giving a stance?

The motivations for faking the claim are obvious, you are mafia.

So obvious that there is no need to review anything, even though its the last round?

You came up with the role of General Pepper based on info you had and because of some lucky guesses you made about the nature of this character.
You knew only venomians could be converted from your mafia quick-topic and used this to claim an ability that sounds reasonable, but is completely redundant because cornarians simply cannot be converted to begin with.

And the reason why you only brought up these doubts now and not earlier when he role claim was because..?

There was ample opportunity to present all these doubts except in the last round when you desperately need a lynch in your favor.

You chose general pepper because he appears to be a character in the game but he is not
The evidence of this is that General Pepper has not been taking part in actions, he has merely been advising Cornarians what to do. He is present in the write-ups, but in a very different way from all the other roles. Every other role in the game has taken some kind of direct action.

Weak argument IMO, every single character that ended up appearing in the write ups has been a real character. So because Double A claimed Slippy when Slippy at that point of the write ups had only appeared once, he was lying? Evidently, Pepper has taken a more public face. I strongly doubt that pizza will cast away his neutrality in regards to the players to support a fake claim by having Pepper appear more often. If that isn't enough proof, look. After Double A and Johnhughthom claimed, they started appearing more often.

Post-Preview Edit: I believe Auto's post just above mine explains the logic behind why his claim is to be taken more seriously too.

You took advantage of general peppers presence and guessed based on the factors above that he was an NPC, and so you took the role as your cover.

And that's why every character that appeared in the write up has been a real character. And that's also why Granga is a fake character eh Nightbringer?

    Now, lets analyze voting

    -Snip, random statistics blabla

We can see that the only times mafia voted for autolycus is when an irreversible bandwagon came down on them. With the safety of being the for sure lynch Pinman and Chaotix voted their undercover man autolycus to attempt to give him some credibility.

And all I saw is some barely plausible argument/coincident being taken as strong supporting evidence

    Here is autolycus voting history

We can see that he has voted for Pinman, Khazaar, and Chaotix.
The chaotix and Pinman votes are irrelevant because they were bandwagoned so badly it didn't matter and all the mafia voted for them.
The Khazaar vote was during the Beeefy Bandwagon, which is odd, but perhaps he just wasn't paying attention. Actively downplaying the alternatives
More likely though, he was recently recruited, possibly right before his fake claim as general pepper.
In fact, he could have been recruited AT ANY TIME during the game because he was never scanned.

Fact remains that no Cornelians were ever converted, and that falls under the jurisdiction of Auto's role abilities.

Fact also remains that you were a convertable Venomian, in fact, the only known one left in the game.

In line with mafia recruits being those that Star Wolf team investigated to be neutral and publicly declared as such, therefore, you are more strongly likelier to be guilty. You seemed to agree with it for Khazaar's lynch, why are you disputing it now?

I hope this isn't too full of typos and such, but I believe it can stand as proof to my loyal cornarian allies that auto is the scum we need to get rid of. Right so your a cornelian now Mr Venomian? The redundant word "loyal" here just smacked of fake appealing too
If you fail to lynch him now you will be faced With a 1 on 1 situation next round, which means???
but it is certainly worse than just killing him now and ending this thing once and for all.
Your most certainly right Master Nightbringer, its the last round, and you are definitely likelier than Autolycus to be guilty.

Nightbringer needs to be lynched this round

I also didn't like how he kept defending Beskar and agreeing with him on virtually everything those few rounds where I was pressuring Beskar.

At first we thought he was a Star Wolf member, but since they're all dead, I'm more inclined to believe that he's an Androssian.

    That is all

So it comes down to the final four...one of us has to be mafia.

Psychoanut is likely not mafia. He claimed Cornerian. Earlier, teams star fox and star wolf seemed to have cleared him, for the most part. I don't remember if he was scanned. But I do know that he nailed a mafia who otherwise wouldn't have been lynched at that time. Heck, he might even still be alive if not for Psycho. I don't see any reason why a mafia would do that to his teammate, when it appears that all the mafia are indeed on one team.

I'm inclined to believe Autolycus' role claim of General Pepper. We've never seen an NPC in this game, and there's no reason to think that ATPG wouldn't include Pepper as a role. The role looks legit. Yeah, there's a typo, and ATPG is pretty good with catching those. But even the best make typos sometimes. That's pretty much the best case anyone (including myself) has been able to find regarding why Auto's role claim might be fake. And if one typo is the only reason we have why it might be fake, then it's probably legit.

That leaves Nightbringer. At one point it became obvious that you were Venomian. It made sense for Andross to only attempt to recruit known Venomians, or risk wasting a night on an un-recruitable character. You were likely recruited by Andross. Vote: Nightbringer.

All i can really say is that yes, it is hard to build a case against auto. But what else am i supposed to do. We all know psycho and WEW are cornarians at this point, so its either auto or me. If I know it is not me, that it must be auto and i have to do the best i can to make the other town players realize that. it appears I've failed.

    @DIY
The first line was a direct copy of auto's post, i just put it in there to be funny i guess, idk. I attempted to elaborate as much as I could on the evidence of auto eing scum, if I failed to convince you, its my fault but there really is nothing else I can do.
As to not bringing up my doubts earlier... ????????
I DID! As soon as he posted his roleclaim I made my doubts about it very clear. I have campaigned to lynch auto numerous times since then, including before I was scanned. My argument about the gen pepper role is that while he has appeared he has done so in a way more similar to james mccloud than to the other role characters. As to no cornarians being converted, I agree with what psycho said about that simply being an innate part of them. As to your last comment on the lyal allies thing, I meant the loyal part to reflect that they can't be converted, and allies to represent the fact that cornarians and venomians are united against the mafia.

I was agreeing with Beskar because I was a venomian, and i believed (i think correctly) that the venomian and star wolf objectives were the same. Much like the Star fox and cornarian objectives were the same.

Anyway, its pretty clear I'm dead.
So thanks for a great game guys!

Why would Cornerians simply be totally unable to be converted? That means they're stuck with a generic townie role the whole game, while the Venomians have a chance to become not-generic-townie mafia. It would make sense if it was somehow possible to convert them, and maybe Pepper is protecting them. Who knows?

In case people are wondering, I was planning on letting the round go until the 48 hours were up, but the Venomian team didn't want to drag it out and felt that no one was going to change their minds. I agreed, and allowed the round to end early with their permission. Well played by all sides.

Fantastic game Pizza!! Thanks for hosting, yet another one of your, well executed games. Great write ups and story telling, as always.

Congrats to town, Star Fox, and Star Wolf. Thanks to my team mates for trusting me, Pigma is a hard character to gain trust in people. *oink*

Very well played mafia, a close game until the end. Sorry Nightbringer, you tried so hard at saving yourself, but the odds were against you. (I felt for you being in that spot). All the mafia played their parts well (as you can tell by so many townies being killed off in the middle of this game).

This game was great fun to play, thanks to all.

    LYLAT WARS

    ENDGAME COMMENTARY
    Part I

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    STAR FOX TEAM

    STAR WOLF TEAM

    Pigma Dengar and Krystal

    General Pepper

Katt Monroe, Bill Grey, and many others!

    Featuring Wolfen Starfighters

    Arwing Starfighters

    Venomian Starfighters

    Cornerian Starfighters

    And many more...

    BEGIN COMMENTARY:

    Game Description:

    • Large Mafia Game
    • 40+ players
    • Standard Day/Night phases
    • Town, Neutral, and Mafia factions
    • Pro-town team not overpowered
    • Investigation roles are not 100% effective
    • Many players are basic townies
    • Secret roles, hidden twist

    • Pro-town team was not overpowered, not compared with what the Androssian team had to work with. You'll see when I post the roles.

    • Investigation roles are not 100% effective:

Beskar/Wolf's investigation was the closest thing to a true detective one might find. He could detect ships, but not who was piloting them, nor could he detect their current alignment unless they were Mafia. He could scan Fox and not know for sure it was Fox; it could be Slippy or Falco, etc. This gives him maybe 95% effectiveness... the most effective scan in the game. But as you saw, he scanned Venomians who were converted later, and he had a mole in his group reading all his investigation results, which were later used against him. Plus he had the added handicap of being scanned as neutral, and being Star Wolf.... the same person who was vig killing everyone and missing. So he looked like a scumbag of some kind, and no one really trusted him.

I like that in a detective.... a little ambiguity and doubt about their intentions... I can live with that. I hate overpowered detectives. He was also the ONLY one in the game who could scan Andrew and have it read as Andross.

    • Secret roles:

Andross was a secret role because he was given a cover role as Andrew. His identity would also remain a secret until he killed with two of his converts through protection.
Pigma could have been turned into the Aparoid Leader if Andrew/Andross died within the first three rounds, and become the new BIG BAD.

    • Hidden twist:

Andross was part of the Star Wolf faction, unknown to them. Plus the chance for Aparoids to invade if he died early.

    GAME RULES

    12. The Big Bad (main enemy of the game)

    • This is the role that the Town and Neutral factions start off opposing.
    • The Big Bad could be anyone.
    • There may be more than one Big Bad... or just one, depending on what happens.
    • The Big Bad was Andross, of course.

    • The Big Bad could be anyone. ANYONE. That was the big hint that Star Wolf should have scanned their own group. Can't say I didn't warn ya....

    Fox McCloud: Splitpersonality/Choxorn

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Sorry to jet, but I'm in a hurry!"
    —Fox McCloud

    Fox McCloud

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Fox_McCloud

Fox McCloud (フォックス・マクラウド, Fokkusu Makuraudo) is an anthropomorphic red fox and main protagonist of the Star Fox series. He is also a pilot, combatant, adventurer, and leader of the Star Fox team. Fox is the son of James McCloud, who taught him throughout his childhood to never give up. During his teen years, Fox joined the Cornerian Flight Academy with his close friend Bill Grey. It was during this time that Andross made his first move against the Lylat System. Fox is also good friends with Falco Lombardi and Slippy Toad, who apparently joined him at the academy. Fox also considers Peppy Hare a father figure, as the two formed a bond after James' death.

    Name: Splitpersonality
    Role: Fox McCloud
    Team: Star Fox
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: Personally defeat the enemy leader, either by vote or with your vigilante power. Then survive the game... if you can.
Ability: Every Night phase, you can either defend or vigilante kill one player of your choosing.

    • "You've got an enemy on your tail!"- Defense power
    • "I'll go it alone from here!"- Vigilante power

    Mason Partner: remake20
    Role: Peppy Hare

    Ship: Arwing

    StarFox team: Mason group

The StarFox Team is a group of mercenaries who all work together to defeat the evil forces conspiring against Corneria, or any other planet in need of assistance... for a healthy paycheck of course. You should find the missing members of your team, because you have added benefits when there are at least 4 of you. Peppy is on the lookout for those missing members. You can try to defend the innocent, or fire your blaster into space, trying to hit enemy forces.

    • Special power: G-diffuser system

If there are 4 members of the StarFox team, any night that a member of the Fox team sends in no orders, the Arwing activates the G-diffuser system, which acts as a self-protecting mechanism from evil forces. The enemy leader can fire through the G-diffuser, though, so you are not totally invulnerable. You presently have 2 members, so that's not enough.

    Peppy Hare: remake20/Death is Yonder

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    "Do a Barrel Roll!"
    —Peppy Hare

    Peppy Hare

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Peppy

Peppy Hare (ペッピー・ヘア, Peppī Hea) is a member of the legendary Star Fox team, with leader James McCloud and wingmate Pigma Dengar. After Pigma's betrayal and James' capture, Peppy narrowly escapes to return to Corneria to inform Fox McCloud of his father's fate. Ever since then, Peppy serves as Fox's mentor and frequently gives Fox instructions and advice throughout the course of the games. Peppy's phrase from Star Fox 64, "Do a barrel roll!" (taken out of context), has become a popular internet phenomenon.

    Name: remake20
    Role: Peppy Hare
    Team: Star Fox
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: Locate all the missing members of the Star Fox team using your investigative power. Then survive the game... if you can.
Ability: Every Night phase, you can scan for missing members of the Star Fox team... or folks who may be interested in joining.

    • "All craft report in!"- Scanning power

This scan is limited in power... you won't be able to detect enemies with it.

Trying to find members of the team simply by revealing may have disastrous consequences, even if you were defended.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    "Time for a little payback!"
    —Falco Lombardi

    Falco Lombardi

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Falco_Lombardi

Falco Lombardi (ファルコ・ランバルディ Faruko Ranbarudi) is an anthropomorphic falcon and ace pilot of the Star Fox team. He is also a good friend and rival to Fox McCloud. Falco resembles a peregrine falcon, and his English name comes from the name of the falcon genus. The name Falco is the only English name from the original team which Dylan Culbert of Q-Games did not come up with. Instead, the name came from Imamura, the 2D artist and scenario designer. The original four members of the Star Fox Team are based on the team for the first game. Falco in particular is based on the model designer, Watanabe. At the time of Star Fox 64, Falco was 19 years old.

    Name: Romanic
    Role: Falco Lombardi
    Team: Star Fox
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: Locate as many Venomian Assault forces as possible. Then try to survive the game.... if you can.
Ability: Every Night phase, you can scan for Venomian forces.

    • "Go find your own target, Fox!"- Scanning power

This scan is limited in power... you can only detect Venomian Assault Forces. This scan will not detect every enemy, nor will it tell you what something is if it is not part of the Venomian army.

His inventions, from the Arwing, Land Master, and Blue Marine to the reflector and blaster, have helped the Star Fox team prevail over the enemy, making Slippy a major contribution to the Star Fox team's success.

    Name: Double A
    Role: Slippy Toad
    Team: Star Fox
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: Rejoin the Star Fox team. Then try to survive the game.... if you can.
Ability: Every Night phase, you can scan for neutral forces. These could be remnants of the Venomian army, or something else.

    • "Data analysis complete, here it comes!"- Scanning power

This scan is limited in power... you can only detect neutral forces. This scan will not tell you what something is, only if it is neutral or not.

    Ship: Arwing

    General Pepper: Autolycus

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"We need your help, Star Fox!"
    —General Pepper

    General pepper

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Pepper

General Pepper (ペパー将軍, Pepā Shōgun) is commander of all of Corneria's forces in the Lylat System. He has offered Fox McCloud an official commission in the end of Star Fox 64, but Fox refused it, stating that they "prefer to do things [their] way." Pepper became general of the Cornerian army by the time of the Lylat Wars. He had banished Andross to Venom for conducting dangerous experiments while working as a scientist for the army. Five years later, he discovered that Andross was conducting disturbing activity on Venom. He hired the Star Fox team for the first, then comprising of founder James McCloud, Peppy Hare, and Pigma Dengar. He sent the Star Fox team to investigate the situation on Venom. He temporarily resigned in Star Fox Command from being ill, thus making his good long time friend, Peppy Hare, the new and temporary general of the Cornerian Army.

    Name: Autolycus
    Role: General Pepper
    Team: Cornerian Defense Forces
    Victory: Town
    Personal Objective: Survive the game.
Ability: As long as you are alive, all Cornerian Defense Forces will remain loyal. You are a symbol of hope and leadership to the free people of the Lylat System.

    Bill Grey

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Bill_Grey

William "Bill" Grey (ビル・グレイ, Biru Gurei) is a Bulldog ace pilot in the Cornerian Army that serves out of Katina. He wears a Green Ace Army Commander Helmet on his head because he's a Commander of his own team. In his childhood, he was good friends with Fox McCloud, who convinced him to join the Cornerian Flight Academy with him some years ago. When Fox left the Academy to avenge his father's death at the hands of Andross, Bill went on to become an ace pilot and was given command of both the Husky and Bulldog squadrons. He helped to defend Katina during the Lylat Wars and the Anglar Blitz. If the mission is accomplished on Katina, Bill will help with opening the warp gates in Sector X or help with fighting monsters on Solar, depending on the route Fox takes. A similar role is played by Katt Monroe.

    Name: ArpeggiateTHIS
    Role: Bill Grey
    Team: Cornerian Defense forces
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: "Shoot down" (vote to lynch) at least one of the enemy ships.
Ability: You can tell enemy ships from loyal ships. As a result, your vote will not count unless it has been lodged against an enemy or neutral target. You can also be recruited by the Star Fox team.

    • "Fox, that's one of ours!"- Vote will only count versus neutral or enemy targets.

    Ship: Cornerian Fighter

    —Katt Monroe

    Katt Monroe

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Katt_Monroe

Katt Monroe (キャット・モンロー, Kyatto Monrō) is a female feline from the Star Fox series. Like Falco Lombardi, she seems cocky, but in a girlish way, such as joking that she would never fly with him again. Katt has a past history as Falco's colleague but it has never been revealed what they used to do. Most likely smuggling, piracy, or arms dealing. However, in the Star Fox Manga "Farewell, Beloved Falco", which served as a midquel bridging the events between Star Fox 64 and Star Fox Adventures, it was revealed that she and Falco were both teammates of the space gang known as the "Hot Rodders"

    Name: johnhughthom
    Role: Katt Monroe
    Team: Independent
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: Falco Lombardi must survive the entire game. (You love him)

    ROB 64

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/ROB

ROB 64, known as NUS64 (ナウス 64 Nausu Rokujūyon) in Japan, is the robotic operator of Star Fox team's mothership, the Great Fox. ROB's name is a reference to the NES accessory R.O.B.(Robotic Operating Buddy), to which he bears a more than passing resemblance. The "64" is derived from the console of his first appearance, the Nintendo 64. ROB's Japanese name, "NUS", stands for "Nintendo Ultra Sixty-four," the original name of the Nintendo 64 system, and is part of the serial number of all N64 components: the controller, for example, is NUS-005. Like with his English name, the 64 is derived from the console of his first appearance. ROB has the ability to completely control the Great Fox, technically making the ship fully autonomous. It is also networked to the ship's main computers, allowing ROB to process any information requested by the Star Fox Team. ROB can also use the ship's transfer device to send vehicles and items to Star Fox team members in the field.

    Name: Beefy187
    Role: ROB 64
    Team: Star Fox
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: You must repair at least two damaged arwings.
Ability: You can restore Peppy, Falco, or Slippy Toad back to life once each.

    • "Maintenance complete on Falco's ship."- You can repair Peppy's, Falco's, or Slippy's ship once each.

    Ship: Great Fox

    —Cornerian Fighter

    Cornerian Defense Force

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Cornerian_Army

The Cornerian Army is one of the main military forces of Corneria, used to patrol and protect the Lylat System from any and all threats. Squadrons of these soldiers have been dispatched to various areas of the Lylat System to keep the peace. In Star Fox 64, the Army is quickly overpowered by the unexpected invasion from the until then unheard of Venomian Army. The Cornerian Army, during that time, had control over Corneria, Sector Y, Katina and Fichina, and they usually managed to endure until Star Fox came to the rescue. During the time of Star Fox: Assault, the Cornerian Army is able to hold it's own fighting rebelling forces, giving Star Fox time to go in after Andrew Oikonny. It is assumed that they, like the Cornerian Defense Force, were severely beaten trying to stop the sudden invasion of the powerful Aparoids. The Cornerian Army base on Katina was among the first victims of the Aparoid invasion. General Pepper retired and turned his job over to Peppy Hare by the time of Star Fox Command, in which the army must again try to defend Lylat from a quick invasion from a powerful enemy, in this case, the Anglars. Several members of the Cornerian Army are playable in this game, including Bill Grey and Dash Bowman. Also, in this game, Krystal joins the Cornerian Army before defecting to Star Wolf. She takes her fighter with her, although she paints it pink. It is identical to Bill's ship.
    Role: Cornerian Fighter
    Team: Cornerian Defense Force
    Victory: Town
Personal Objective: The Cornerian Defense force must outnumber the Venomian Assault Force by the end of the conflict.
    Ability: None

    Venomian Assault Force

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Venomian_Army

The Venomian Army sometimes referred to as Androssians, was the army of the planet Venom which operated under the control of Andross. The army was destroyed by both the Cornerian Army and the Star Fox Team at the end of the Lylat Wars, although small groups of it remained at least up to the time of the Aparoid Invasion. These groups were kept at bay during those times, being forced to stay on Fortuna as a last resort before the Aparoids invaded.
    Role: Venomian Fighter
    Team: Venomian Assault Force
    Victory: Neutral

It is in your best interest to remain alive. As a neutral, you can only win if your team (VAF) outnumbers the Cornerian team (CDF) at the end of the game, or if you survive the game, or if your alignment changes and you get new win conditions.

Personal Objective: The Venomian Assault Force must outnumber the Cornerian Defense force by the end of the conflict. Your personal survival adds to this.
    Ability: None
    Ship: Venomian Fighter

The Venomian Forces can win with the town, but this victory condition may change.

    Krystal: Joooray

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"I'm sensing a distress call from planet Sauria..."
    —Krystal

    Krystal

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Krystal

Krystal (クリスタル, Kurisutaru) is an anthropomorphic blue fox and the newest member of the Star Fox team. She serves as Fox McCloud's love interest and made her debut in the series in Star Fox Adventures. In the English version of the series, Krystal speaks Estuary English and is voiced by Estelle Ellis in Adventures, and Alésia Glidewell in Star Fox: Assault and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In the Japanese version of the two later games, she is voiced by Aya Hara. Krystal is a native of Cerinia, a planet outside the Lylat System. Krystal became proficient in using a powerful staff weapon, as well as her natural abilities of telepathy. Pigma Dengar (ピグマ・デンガー Piguma Dengā) was once a member of the legendary Star Fox Team, and later of Star Wolf Team, then the Aparoids after being kicked out by Wolf O'Donnell. Pigma is an exceptionally greedy miser who does not care who he hurts so long as he ends up with a large paycheck in the end. He is also extremely sadistic, as evidenced by his claim of "Daddy screamed REAL good before he died!".

    Name: Diana Abnoba
    Role: Pigma Dengar
    Team: Independent
    Victory: Neutral

As a Neutral, your objective is to either survive the game, or join another team and get new win conditions. But fulfilling your personal objectives guarantees you a minor victory of some kind.

    Personal Objective:

    • Rejoin the Star Wolf mercenary team, survive the game... and you'll be rich!!! They will be looking for you. Just remember that Star Fox has a grudge against you... since you betrayed them and tried to murder Peppy.
    • Additionally: PEPPY MUST DIE- your score is higher if you outlive Peppy Hare, of the Starfox team.

Ability: you can deflect one attack by most starfighters, because you're flying the Wolfen II, a clearly superior ship.

"You can't beat me, I've got a better ship!"- survive one attack, unless it is more powerful than you can handle.

    —Wolf O'Donnell

    Wolf O'Donnell

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Wolf_O%27Donnell

Wolf O'Donnell (ウルフ オドネル Urufu Odoneru), sometimes referred to as "Lord O'Donnell" by his underlings, is the leader of Star Wolf, and rival of Fox McCloud. Fox and Wolf were enemies sometime before Star Fox 64 took place. It is heavily implied that they have a long and bitter history with each other, despite mutual respect. It has been suggested in the comic adaptation of Star Fox 64, as well as his statement when he is getting the upper hand of a Dogfight against Fox in the game itself ("You'll be seeing your dad soon, Fox!") that Wolf was involved with the apparent death of James McCloud- Fox's father (further hinted by his Brawl trophy). When Wolf's team was hired by Andross to take down Star Fox, Wolf wanted nothing but to fulfill his orders and to kill Fox. Star Wolf team ultimately failed their mission, leading Wolf to seek revenge for his own personal reasons.

Since Star Fox 64, his character has changed from being reminiscent of a stereotypical classy and sinister narcissist to that of a stereotypical crude pirate. This may symbolize the fact that he has become less villainous since Star Fox 64.

    • You'll be seeing your dad soon, Fox. - You can select one target and fire, killing them if it works.

    Team Star Wolf:

The Star Wolf team is a mercenary group led by Wolf O'Donnell. They were originally associated with the evil Andross, and after his demise cemented themselves as rivals of Star Fox. They also dabbled in more illegal activities such as larceny and smuggling.

The original team consisted of Wolf O'Donnell, Leon Powalski, Andrew Oikonny, and Pigma Dengar. However in Star Fox: Assault, Andrew left Star Wolf to avenge Andross and Pigma was expelled because of his greediness. Wolf later replaced Andrew and Pigma with Panther Caroso. In Star Fox Command, Krystal joins Star Wolf but can either stay with Star Wolf or join Fox McCloud depending on the player's decisions. Also, they have massive bounties placed on their heads because of their work. Their main ship is the Wolfen.

Leon's past is unknown, but he most likely had some past rivalry with Falco Lombardi, whom he mainly concentrates on during dogfights in Star Fox 64 and bickers with in Star Fox: Assault. Leon's personality has changed noticeably since Star Fox 64. He has gone from a classy, competent pilot to a crazed, ruthless assassin who usually gives a deranged laugh after defeating a foe. His voice has also changed dramatically to suit this; originally, his tone was calm and sinister, but it has recently become high-pitched and maniacal.

He becomes infatuated with Krystal at the Sargasso Region, and when Fox fires her in Star Fox Command, Krystal turns to Panther and the rest of Star Wolf. He made his first appearance as the newest member of the Star Wolf team in Star Fox: Assault, taking the place of both Pigma and Andrew. Panther is quite conceited, which often embarrasses those around him, especially his teammates Wolf and Leon. He is also a flirt, and considers himself a ladies' man. As a result, he attempts to flirt with Krystal several times, but she either ignores or outright rejects him depending on the circumstances. His signature symbol is a red rose. This symbol is painted on the side of his Wolfen, making him the only pilot in the series to have any kind of marking on his ship, which distinguishes his Wolfen from those of his teammates.

    Andrew Oikonny

Andrew Oikonny (アンドリュー・オイッコニー, Andoryū Oikkonī) , usually called only by his surname, is the nephew of Andross. In Star Fox 64, Oikonny flies with Star Wolf and primarily goes after Slippy Toad in battles against the Star Fox team for unknown reasons, possibly a rivalry that started over superior intellect in the past. Oikonny was originally supposed to appear in Star Fox 2 as Algy. His first official appearance was in Star Fox 64, where he was a part of Star Wolf. He would always attack Slippy as his first target. When shot down, he would usually yell "Uncle Andross!" Oikonny appears with the rest of Star Wolf in the missions Fichina or Bolse Defense Station. He is also seen in the "back entrance" to Venom where Star Wolf gets new ships. Andrew isn't heard from again until Star Fox Assault, where he has taken control of the remains of Andross's fleet and declared war on Corneria. After plowing through his fleet and chasing all across Fortuna, Oikonny transforms his ship into what Falco calls an "Andross Wannabe" that is soon destroyed by an Aparoid. Oikonny survives and returns in Star Fox Command as an ally to the Anglars piloting the Death Crab. He is then defeated once again by Fox and his team.

    REAL ROLE:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Those tin cans are no match for me!"
    —Andross

    Andross

    Name: Winston Hughes
    Role: Andross
    Team: Venom
Victory: Andross (Outnumber all town-aligned characters)
Personal Objective: Defeat the entire Star Fox team.

You are the leader of the Androssian Empire. You can convert certain players to your side, by force, and make them into your unflinching minions.

Once more the forces of Andross will rule the galaxy.... and... we shall have... peace.

    Abilities:
You are immune to most investigations, you can murder once per night, in addition, you can scan for new converts OR convert someone.
    • "You will die just like your father." - You can choose one target per night and murder them.
    • "If I go down, I'm taking you with me!" - You can choose one target per night to investigate and see if they are worthy of assimilation.
    • "Only I have the brains to rule Lylat." - You can convert Venomian Assault Forces into your subservient henchmen.

    • You can defeat simple defenses with ease, you're the Great Andross. Those pathetic tin cans are no match for you... (The G-diffuser defense fails when you personally attack someone... your henchmen do not have this kind of power, and their attacks will fail against G-diffusers)
    • You can defeat strong defenses with help. If someone is being DEFENDED at night, yourself and two converts can all attack that person, and the defenses will fail.
    • You can survive 1 lynch attempt. You have a decoy... a mechanical version of yourself.

    Andross' Forces:
    • Every two converts can perform 1 additional murder. Andross plus two converts can kill through defenses. Four converts can kill through defenses. If Andross dies, they can go on murdering and still win the game, but they cannot recruit. If you try to recruit someone who cannot be recruited, you are exposed to that person.

    Quicktopic: http://www.quicktopic.com/44/H/2dwTSK3Axj4M

Partners: You must convert some neutrals first. You start all alone. However, you should be able to manipulate the circumstances by influencing your "Star Wolf" friends...

    Long story short:

    1. You are pretending to be a member of Star Wolf, a neutral group. You can murder once every night regardless, and then also either investigate or attempt to assimilate someone into your cult.

    2. Your real goal is to assimilate as many Venomian Assault Forces as possible, and murder everyone by the end of the game, INCLUDING STAR WOLF.

    3. If you die, your converts can continue on without you, but they cannot convert anymore.

    4. If you die and your converts are slain, then you have been utterly defeated.

    5. If you die and your converts are slain, and any members of Star Fox remain alive, then you've suffered a catastrophic defeat.

    Note from the game host:

This is a difficult role. Not only are you an enemy of the Cornerians, Star Fox, and Independents, (townies) but you are also supposed to use and then betray your "teammates": Star Wolf. You will have to juggle two different quicktopics, up to three different personas (pretending to be a townie, pretending to be a member of Star Wolf, being Andross), you'll have to post in the thread and avoid suspicion there, and still remember to get your murder and investigation/conversion in on time. If at any time you go inactive, I will be forced to replace you. If you send in your orders IN ADVANCE, this will not be a problem, you won't get replaced. You are the main bad guy of the entire game. Your role is of critical importance, obviously. I'm counting on you to give all the other players a hard time. Without you, there is no challenge. It's all on your shoulders....

Give them hell or die trying!

    "Teammates":

    Attack Carrier Captain

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Attack_Carrier

The Attack Carrier is a Venomian battleship that serves as the boss for Corneria in the original Star Fox and of the secret route in Star Fox 64. In Star Fox 64, it approaches the Star Fox from behind and tries to collide with Fox McCloud's Arwing. Fox must fly low to avoid this.
Captain Of The Carrier Attack in Star Fox 64.

The Attack Carrier is heavily armored and impervious to Laser fire and Smart Bombs. However, when it opens its hatches to release a salvo of missiles, the player can shoot at the openings to break off the two large missile pods from the right of the ship and the large launch bay to the left of the ship, rendering it vulnerable to weapons fire. However, when its missile pods are destroyed, it fires lasers similar to Sarumarine's and dodges. The Attack Carrier in Star Fox 64 was the true source of enemy reinforcements invading Corneria.

After Fox managed to pull off some advanced moves from arches on the water, Falco spotted the Attack Carrier going beyond the waterfall, and went after it. He also alerted Fox and the rest of the team of his discovery. However, shortly after arriving at the ocean, the Attack Carrier surprises them by moving behind them, forcing the team to drop their altitude. The Star Fox team then attacked the Attack Carrier, and after destroying it's launch bay and missile pods, they then attacked the main ship. After defeating it, the captain demands to know their identities, and then declares that Star Fox will never defeat Andross as his ship plummets into the Ocean.

It is deployed by the Saruzin attack carrier immediately after the two Shogun Warriors are defeated by the Star Fox Team. Armed with a laser pistol and a shield, the Shogun will fly around the stage and shoot at the Arwings with greater speed and aggression than the Shogun Warriors. Its shield can absorb the Arwings' Laser blasts, but it is relatively fragile, and will break off after taking several hits.
Pilot Of The Shogun in Star Fox 64.

The Shogun is much more agile than the Shogun Warriors and is that much harder to hit, but its pilot makes the huge mistake of periodically landing on the deck of the carrier for short periods of time and shooting at the Arwings while standing still. This makes him an easy target for laser-fire.

The Meteo Crusher (also known as Rock Crusher) is a utility ship designed to, as its name's sake, crush asteroids and planets in the Asteroid Field into dust and extract the raw ore and minerals found within them. These materials would then be transported back to Venomian bases to be refined and later used to construct weapons and starfighters.

Despite being utility vessels, the Meteo Crushers aren't defenseless, having a cluster of four cannons on either end of their structures. Once the cannons are destroyed, however, there is nothing keeping its heavy body secured to the main core inside and it flies off into space exposing itself.

The core is where the minerals are thought to be stored and is the weakest part of the crusher. Its only defense is a single rapid fire cannon at its center.

In Star Fox 64, the Star Fox team is sent to Meteo to take one out.

    Gorgon

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Gorgon

The Gorgon is one of Andross's deadliest weapons that is located in Area 6, and Venom's last defense. It is equipped with a powerful superlaser capable of piercing the crust of a planet or destroying large ships such as Cornerian Cruisers or the Great Fox. The weapon can defend itself from starfighters by firing waves of armor piercing missiles or by extending its three tentacles to physically slam into the target ship. The Gorgon also possesses a Dimension Transport System that enables it to phase in and out of reality, something that scientists have thought to be impossible until now. It served as the last line of defense in Area 6.

The Gorgon spins and moves about in a highly erratic manner somewhat reminiscent of an octopus or squid. As such, it can be speculated that Gorgon is one of Andross's advanced bioweapons that incorporates a sea creature as a machine's living brain. The order by the Area 6 commander to deploy Gorgon as a last resort seems to indicate an inability to control it, lending some credence the idea that Gorgon is such a biomechanical weapon.

    Vulcain

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Vulcain

Vulcain is an experimental bioweapon created by the mad scientist Andross, and dwells on the star Solar in the middle of the Lylat System. The creature is able to adapt to extreme temperatures, as is demonstrated by its survival on the red dwarf. Vulcain is also capable of modifying its genetic structure to absorb and alter the molecules of objects in its environment.

Its main modes of offense revolve around the use of its arms and the magma-filled environment around it. It will start off by launching boulder-like objects from its mouth in the player's direction. These boulders can be destroyed by regular laser fire and may leave behind valuable Supply Rings and Smart Bombs. It may also use its scythe-like arms to slash at the player both horizontally and vertically. It also has the ability to dive under magma and cause the lava to bulge out into a tidal wave toward the player's position. The height of this wave varies from medium to screen-filling, making it very difficult to dodge. After Vulcain loses its both arms, it gains 2 new attack types, but becomes unable to use the slashing attack:

Its first new attack involves it spinning out of the lava with magma pouring out of its shoulders and flinging fireballs at the player in downward diagonal patterns. The second attack is its ability to submerge beneath the molten rock and cause flaming boulders to fly out of the magma at the players direction.

    Androssian Convert- Granga: Nightbringer

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
You have been scanned and converted by Andross, the BIG BAD and master of the Venomian army. You've been re-recruited and promoted to one of his highest commands. Your victory condition has now changed, and your powers have increased. Your goal is to wipe out everyone besides Andross and other Androssian converts. Your team must be the last one standing. You are now MAFIA.

    Granga

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Granga

Granga is one of Andross' soldiers. He pilots an unnamed mech used to ward off the Star Fox Team on Corneria in the game, Star Fox 64.

Granga is perhaps the easiest of the bosses in Star Fox 64, with easily dodged attacks and few of them at that. Granga's mech fires lasers from two cannons on its underside, homing missiles from pods mounted to its shoulders and the backpack, and energy balls from its head.
    edit Weakness

One can easily shoot the legs of this mech to immobilize it, which has the added bonus of disabling the laser cannons, and its head can also be blown off to stop it from firing energy blasts. The missile launchers on its sides can be destroyed, but Granga will still be able to fire missile from its back if its legs are gone. The power supply on its back is its primary weakness, and scoring hits on this vulnerable area is all too easy if Granga is unable to walk around. A few Smart Bombs fired at him will quickly shut his mouth for good. In his defeat he shouts his last words "My emperor! I've failed you!!" as his mech goes up in an explosion.

Panther Caroso (Cultured Drizzt Fan), upon becoming the new leader of Star Wolf:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Allow me to introduce myself: I am Panther, and all who see my rose meet death!"
    —Panther Caroso

    Panther Caroso

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Panther_Caroso

Panther Caroso (パンサー カルロッソ Pansā Caruroso, Panther Caluroso) is a member of Star Wolf.

    Name: Cultured Drizzt Fan
    Role: Panther Caroso
    Team: Star Wolf
Victory: Star Wolf (Neutral, for now...)

As a neutral, your objective is to DESTROY THE BIG BAD. This will help ensure your survival.

Personal Objective: Stop at nothing... SLIPPY TOAD MUST DIE. But also, locate Krystal with your scanning equipment.
Ability: You can investigate or perform a murder.

    • Don't get too cocky, Star Fox. - You can select one target and scan them.

    Pigma Dengar

    http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/Pigma

Pigma Dengar (ピグマ・デンガー Piguma Dengā) was once a member of the legendary Star Fox Team, and later of Star Wolf Team, then the Aparoids after being kicked out by Wolf O'Donnell. Pigma is an exceptionally greedy miser who does not care who he hurts so long as he ends up with a large paycheck in the end. He is also extremely sadistic, as evidenced by his claim of "Daddy screamed REAL good before he died!".
    Name: Diana Abnoba
    Role: Pigma Dengar
    Team: Star Wolf
    Victory: Star Wolf (neutral)

As a Neutral, your objective is to DESTROY THE BIG BAD. This will help ensure your survival.

Ability: (your one-shot defense is used up)

    • "You've got an enemy on your tail!"- Defense power
    • "I'll go it alone from here!"- Vigilante power

So, not only were Star Wolf shafted off from the get-go because the mafia were privy to their QuickTopic and the communications ban meant we couldn't talk anywhere else, but we could have potentially recruited the emergent Big Bad Pigma as well?

Hardest game for myself, Beskar and CDf, tbh. :P

    Sorry for dropping out.

Having played nothing but basic townies since I first joined the org, it was infuriating to land a pair of key mafia roles (All Those Pretty Stars being the other) just as RL was getting seriously hectic. I ought to have refused the Big Bad role when ATPG offered me the chance. But, though I explained to him that I wasn't going to be able to dedicate much time, I allowed myself to be convinced that I could handle it. In the event, I found it frustrating and increasingly stressful as I struggled to keep up with events in the thread and the QTs, let alone to figure out what I ought to be doing. I'm not a very confident villain at the best of times, but in this case the role was just too heavy for me.

Anyhow, congratulations to the innocents for a hard fought victory, to the villains for getting within touching distance of the win, and to ATPG for yet another awesome game.

Also, I found a post that I absolutely loved in the Star Fox QT:

As you can see from the revealed roles, we did have somewhat sinister personal goals; however, with the exception of Fox himself, the mafia completed these personal goals for us (in my case, Romanic/Falco being killed twice!) leaving the majority of Star Wolf to concentrate on the game rather than Whack-A-Fox.

Additionally, I'd like to state that Beskar being the public leader of the group wasn't really through a conscious group choice or because of his role being the de facto leader anyway, but more for necessity really; Drizzty and Diana were heavily lurking, sticking largely to parroted voting patterns that I knew would give them away eventually, and civplayah was obviously non-existent and a constant source of frustration and suspicion for me anyway.

As for myself, there was a point in the game where I lost interest completely; after recruiting Diana, my ability was rendered useless and I basically became a named vanilla role, nothing more than a vote really; after this, it felt as though my opinion didn't matter, and indeed there were a few occasions where my opinion was discarded in favour of non-team members such as Renata and TheFlax. The ban in private communcation only alleviated matters, and I was never going to take charge of Star Wolf efforts both due to a real-life sense of loyalty to Beskar and because a second revealed member would have been stupid considering how much the town/Star Fox seemed to focus on us rather than the real problem at hand.

Part of me thinks that Pizza purposefully picked myself and Beskar for the Wolf and Leon roles; Beskar to be Wolf as it was such a vital role and Beskar's typical way of handling things could possibly function as a source of great amusement for our host; myself to be Leon to see how I would work with Beskar and how long before I'd just crack (look through my posts in-thread and in our QT, you will find the point!)

I have more thoughts on the game, but I'll post them as-and-when they come along. :3

We had objectives to kill them sure, but we didn't stab them in the back whatsoever; Falco, Slippy and Peppy were all killed by mafia, and Fox was only killed because Beskar genuinely believed Choxorn to be lurking mafia. If you look back at some of my posts, I actually implore Peppy not to reveal himself to anyone; that's definitely the actions of someone who wants him dead, right?

Having seen the role PMs and such, I do believe that Star Fox had an easier game when you compare their abilities to Star Wolf's and the handicaps we started with:
    • The Big Bad was a member of our team and knew all our identities straight away as they were in his cover role PM
    • All mafia were privy to our QT, and thus our investigation results, from the get-go
    • The town wanted to lynch us all based on name/alignment and would do so readily if revealed
    • The town wanted to lynch Beskar just because he's Beskar
    • Leon and Panther's abilities become useless once Pigma and Krystal are recruited/dead

    Star Fox's, in contrast:
    • Targetted by Andross, potential targets of Star Wolf
    • Only started as a group of two, Fox and Peppy

    Anything I've missed there? :P

I'd just like to thank Team Star Wolf for basically winning things for us, by vigging three Androssians in two nights, if I remember correctly. I must say, I'm thanking my lucky stars that they took down you at the same time, otherwise we would have been screwed when you went bad.

The funny thing is, the Star Wolf team become mafia because the Cornerians want to bring us to justice for past transgressions in the Lylat System; we're seen as enemies of the 'state' and thus you guys basically make us mafia. xD

Congratulations on coming first, by the way... we gave you guys a good run, but it wasn't meant to be! :P

@ secura: You got to go true mafia if Andross died -- that's a big thing you left out! :)

But yes, what Autolycus said, essentially. As it turns out we needed you and the Androssians to destroy each other in order to win after all our loyal power roles and sources of information were dead, and that's exactly what happened. It would have been nearly impossible for a bunch of living vanilla Cornerians to figure it out fast enough on their own.

It really is too bad you didn't have time for the role, Winston. You may not be a confident mafia, but you're rather a good one, IMO. I truly hope the .org gets to find that out firsthand one day.

I couldn't agree more; the town was right in wanting to lynch us... they just needed to deal with Andross first.

I'm keen to see what Beskar thinks now that he's permitted to post again; I'm going to see him later today, so I'll poke him and get him to post his thoughts. :3
