Emendator <Grammatical Mod>

Alright, I have become too bored to wait on responses to my solicitation post, so here goes nothing!

Emendator, as I am so grandiosely calling it, is a very simple mod to correct grammatical mistakes in the text portions of EB. Obviously the text is very well-written as-is, but it does brook improvement from a technical standpoint, if only because there is such an immense volume of it; almost 400 pages of text for unit descriptions alone. Even the best writing team is going to make mistakes in that span, and as far as I know there isn't/wasn't a proofreader on the project.

Note that this is entirely save-game compatible.

This is v 0.3 and includes the first 125 pages of the unit descriptions, something like 450 corrections. Most of them are very minor, meaning that even I didn't notice many of them specifically until I started looking, but the editing should just make it 'feel' better as you play. If the mod is doing its job, your subconscious will thank me but you will not notice.

Versions will progress as follows: 0.1-1.0 will be ~40 pages of unit description changes each. After that I'll get into the other text files and set up a version projection for the remainder. Timeframe is somewhat unknown. My estimate is that it will take me roughly 100 hours to do all of EB1, and I have about that amount left in EB2. Since I am attempting to get 6-7 hours a day dedicated to these two projects combined (I don't sleep ) that means it will take something like 30 days to complete them. Since I am time-sharing between the two they will probably get done at roughly the same time, so expect completion sometime around the first or second week in August.

Instructions:
Simply copy and paste the file into EB\Data\Text and replace the existing.

If you notice mistakes in the portion I have completed please say something. I am almost certain that some things will slip through the cracks, so my feelings will not be hurt if they are pointed out.

Finally, I want to hugely thank the EB team. EB is absolutely superb throughout and I am a little humbled to be making this small contribution. Well done guys.

(But anyway, most of us, EB-ers, are not Englishman and won't notice any gramatical error easily... heheh, at least, I got a one new source to learn toefl correctly now....)

Yes, this is save-game compatible. Text is accessed as the game goes along - you could probably minimize the game, update with the mod, bring the game back up, and see the changes lol. I haven't tried that, so I wouldn't recommend it, but still.
