while that Gah option is there can you people tell me what that means? i use it for sentences like: Gah! You disgust me. but i seen people use it for different things. what does it mean?

Gah! is the Org-standard last option of a poll. As in, "Gah! None of these poll options accurately reflect my opinion!"

Star Trek had a worryingly large effect on real life, but besides the first series is mostly rubbish.

Some of the worst acting I've ever seen has been in Star Trek.

Star Wars acting was wooden too, but at least it had lightsabres and coolness.

This is at least the third thread of this exact topic in the Frontroom in my own recent memory (ie: less than a year).

Not that it's a bad topic, but just I hate how I make huge long posts in the other thread and then they are not there in the new threads about the same thing that spring up. Perhaps the mods should sticky this thread in the Frontroom since it's a recurring topic.

In short, Star Trek is better if you want meat & potatoes; real substance to make you think. Star Wars is better if you want some TV dinners and exciting action (hand to hand fighting action is something that Trek never did well).

Overall, I strongly prefer Star Trek because of it's deeper issues that make you think.
