    Out of curiosity, is it usual to close the backroom during christmas and new year's? Asking because last year around this time I still didn't have access to it in the first place

    To my knowledge, yes, it is usually closed at Christmas. I think once it was closed for a few days as a "cool down time", but I can't remember.

    RTW, 167 BC: Rome expels Greek philosophers after the Lex Fannia law is passed. This bans the effete and nasty Greek practice of 'philosophy' in favour of more manly, properly Roman pursuits that don't involve quite so much thinking.

    Is the backroom closed for the entirity of the festive season (boxing day and so forth) or just christmas? Because if it's only christmas then i demand you wake up right now and stop living on American time. I'm getting very impatient and fidgety without my fix.

    Talking of Australian alcohols, found a lager i've become quite fond of - Hahn. Very nice, gets you drunk rather quick.

    As for wine, well, haven't had a chance to sample much of that so far. What i've had though is quite nice, shame i can't remember the name of it.

    I just didn't want us Americans unjustly taking the rap for the Backroom closure when there are so many other reasons (legitimate or not) to tweak our noses once the Backroom re-opens.
