Chapter House Forum
The Types
In the Chapter House forum part of The Guild is where people play a game called a Interactive History. There are three types of Interactive Histories. Kraxis Style, RPG Style and Multi Play Style. A Interactive History depends on the type of game (Interactive History is also termed as IH)
A Kraxis Style Game (Named after the Creator of a Famed IH) is Singleplayer in a sense. Many can play, but not against each other. The creator chooses a topic. THis could be anything to do with History, past, present or perhaps future. They then write up a Chapter which informs the player on the topic. At the end of the Chapter, the Creator gives the audience a list of decisions they have to make based upon the story. Sometimes its the first three people to choose who votes count, sometimes its just majority. All rules are made by the Creator.
A RPG Style Game (Role Playing Game) is quite new to the CH (Chapter House.) It is where the Creator chooses a topic, again involving History, then types some sort of introduction. The Creator then creates a second thread commonly known as the RP Thread of the said game. There the players (WHo sign up to play in the other thread) sort of create there own story, writing up stories and the likes. The Creator watchs on and smooths the game, sometimes adding events and the such. There so far has been only one RPG Game in the CH, and that was seignthelas's Germany Interactive History.
The third, and these days most common type, is the Multiplayer Style Game (named after the amount of people who play) The Creator chooses a topic and creates a thread on it. Based upon a certain time of History. For example, LegioXXXUlpiaVixtrix's Famous 17th Century IH Game. He posted a introduction and a list of Game Rules, then a list of Nations people can play (one person per nation). Once this is completed, the creator continues to post Chapters. At the end of every Chapter a set of decisions is given to EVERY nation. The players then send there decision in by PM and the Creator writes his next Chapter based on those decisions.
