Gah!
Origins of Gah!
Historical evidence shows that Gah! dates to the beginning of mankind. It has spanned epochs and crossed civilizations to be with us today. Etymologists believe it has originated from the great steppes, but it's widespread use in ancient times makes this difficult to prove. Early editions of the Illiad have Priam using Gah! when learning of Paris' abduction of Helen. Shakespeare used poetic license in the tragedy Julius Caesar, a written account attributed to Cicero states that Caesar's last words were, in fact, "Brutus? Gah!".
Gah! reached the .Org in the early stages of it's existence. There is speculation and contention as to who first brought Gah! into our consciousness, but it quickly took root. Members like Vanya and Ichi made it's use an art form.
At one point, Gah! had a Wikipedia entry, but it was removed by the editors. Head soup will be made someday in retribution.
Gah! and .Org Polls
Gah! is traditionally the last option put on forum polls. Gah! is basically "None of the Above", a vote for Gah! is to show disdain for the other options.
Gah! in Every Day Life
Gah! can be used many ways in daily life. Someone cutting you off in traffic? Gah! A politician caught with his hand in the till? Gah! Sent your king on a one-way trip to invade Ireland? Gah!
It's amazing that a simple word can be used so many ways, to express astonishment, anger, disdain, disappointment, and despair. Using Gah! openly in public will gain you respect from your peers, cause fear in your enemies, and attract women to your side. Unless Beirut gets them first, that is.
