MTW Minimap Options
The Minimap Options menu allows the player to toggle certain game features for a campaign. This menu is somewhat hidden, it is opened by clicking on the grey bar on the right side of the campaign mini-map. When unexpanded, the bar has a right-facing arrowhead, when expanded it had a left facing arrowhead (to unexpand the menu).
Contents
Auto manage taxes
If checked, the computer will automatically set the taxation levels in the player's provinces. The computer will attempt to maintain a set loyalty level with the taxation, based on the garrison size and other unrest parameters. The default level is 120%(???), this can be changed with the "-loyalty:#" command line switch.
Auto assign titles
If checked, the computer will automatically assign titles and governorships to the player's generals. (how are candidates chosen?)
Auto construct buildings
If checked, the computer will automatically queue buildings in provinces construction queues.
Auto train units
If checked, the computer will automatically queue troop units in province training queues.
Auto train agents
If checked, the computer will automatically queue agents in province training queues.
Show tooltips
If checked, holding the cursor over pretty much anything on the campaign map for more than a couple of seconds will pop up a tooltip help message.
Autosave progress
If checked, the computer will automatically save the game at the end of each turn.
Show computer moves
If checked, the movement into and out of visible provinces by AI faction agents and army stacks will be seen. This will slow the end-turn phase as the player can see more provinces as the game continues.
Tidy up units and armies after battles.
If checked, the computer will automatically merge the player's units and stacks after battles. The computer will attempt to create fully manned units, this may merge units out of existence and cause units to lose their upgraded weapons and armour.
Display non critical messages
Having this enabled will display individual parchments during the end-phase turn for each building completed.
TBD - need more detail on how the computer does the auto queueing.
