Default Difficulty levels in Shogun II

    Hi,

So sorry if this has been discussed before (couldn't find it in the search tool), but what's the deal with the difficulty levels on battle and campaign in Shogi II?

Back in the day, harder battle difficulties just gave enemy units stat buffs that totally unbalanced the game - is this still the case? or does it make the AI 'more intelligent'?

On campaign, again, back in the day harder difficulty just let the AI factions cheat with money and send constant small stack spam at you (which got very old, very fast) - is this still true, or again, is the AI more canny on harder levels?

About to come to the end of a normal/normal campaign so would value some gen.

    thanks!

I am not sure about the exact bonuses the CPU receive, but based on the words around, the bonuses have been largely reduced from previous TW titles due to "AI's improvement". (Not a personal opinion.)
There is a wonderful section on Frogbeastegg's guide about difficulties.
