I don't see what harm some analysis could do, better to make a vote based on some kind of logic rather than none at all.... unless your the scum of course...

Askthepizzaguy
01-24-2009, 09:56
If I were scum, I spent 50 hours of my life creating elaborate lies and fictional analyses, kamikaze'd myself on day two, and created a fairly devastating case against at least one innocent townie.

It doesn't add up. WIFOM is one thing, but Occam's razor suggests I am not so insane to do all this.

The reason I would suggest I not bother is because, if after all this I was wrong, then my analysis system has flaws. And I have led town to 2 NEAR wins in the past... I dont want to be solely responsible for a loss here.

But, I will grudgingly accept the near impossibility that Tincow or Andres were innocent... (makes me gag even trying to say such a terribly unpleasant and obviously wrong thing) and focus on the idea we still have a mafia left to string up.

Seireikhaan is laughing at me.

LittleGrizzly
01-24-2009, 10:02
well the unless you were scum part wasn't an accusation you needed to defend against, i just didn't want the town to put too much thought put in your analysis alone, you pretty much had me convinced on your innocence from day 2....

so that analysis you mentioned...

Oh, sorry... didn't know you wanted it right now.

Let's look at the voting habits again. be right back.

From these voting patterns, you should be able to discern who is scummy and who is not.

who has bloody hands?

Alive: 5

Beefy: voted Yoyoma, myself, nobody, LittleGrizzly, Tincow, unvoted.

Bloody hands: against me, LittleGrizzly, and Tincow. Then mysteriously absent at the finish line. So at least two innocents dead under his axe.

Boudica

Abstain, Abstain, Abstain, not voted, Beefy, Beefy.

Hands: Clean. Impressive if mafia.
In spite of her less than stellar contributions as town, there's no way I can call for her head. She disappeared from other games too.

Sigurd

Voted for me, nobody, nobody, nobody, and Andres. Andres was scum, I can taste it, and I know maybe I smelled a little, so it's understandable.

He smells clean to me, impressive.

Taka

Abstain, Lord Winter, nobody, Reenk, Sigurd, Andres. Only bloody hands so far have been against the scum Andres. Seriously, not bad.

White_Eyes

Abstain, GeneralHankerchief, Ares, LittleGrizzly, Tincow, Andres.

GH was murdered, was he not? Thats confirmed innocent. So he voted for a confirmed innocent, and has at LEAST two townies innocent under his axe. But I feel he nailed both scum, though we're still here with a thumb up our :daisy: talking about it...

mutters...

If we were to go by votes alone, your two remaining suspects would be Beefy and WhiteEyes.
Boudica seems to want to go for Beefy, and his suspect behavior towards the end, arguing that we shouldnt talk at night, and so forth... he smells the most.

WhiteEyes, I have to thank for nailing both of my mafia suspects... so...

I'd call for Beefy's head, if the game were to continue.

Askthepizzaguy
01-24-2009, 11:04
Long shot... Beefy and whiteeyes both mafia, and I was completely wrong.

I don't think so.

Now, I can run all 5 through my mafia scum analysis machine, but I won't be here. So you're on your own, and if the thing hasn't won the game by now, it never, never, never, will win.

And you never know. You could go for whiteeyes too. It's your call. I cannot believe we're still talking about this, frankly. Joke is over, Seireikhaan.

Askthepizzaguy
01-24-2009, 11:12
Should there be a standoff... 3 townies remaining, or 4.... be patient. Scum crack under pressure.

Abstain, don't have more than one vote per player... see who commits to a course of action, and who refuses.... find out who votes for who, and why.

They better have a good case, because mine seemed solid.

I also want to say, in spite of what it currently says under my name, I believe we have already won the game. But we shall see. Seireikhaan is just playing games with us. I am just doing this out of swallowing my pride and playing against the odds so that I might still be useful in the event I were wrong.

Askthepizzaguy
01-24-2009, 11:19
posty posty posty post....

Taka knows my analysis system. He cannot reveal it to anyone without my permission. In my absence, I trust him to use it to find the next most scummy person, just cause I doubt it's him.

EDIT: At 10:19am, after an ill-fated 4 hour nap in this freezing garage, I am going to be shivering in front of my computer and space heater for a while. I'm actually still here, in case anyone cares.

Ok. 1/5 of the remaining work done.

Here's the file on Beefy, who I consider scum, beyond all scum. Nicely played, beefy.

Activity: 103 Large nonsense post, 114 quickpost with smiley (QWS), qws 116, qws 119, qws 152 (suspicious), qws 154, quickpost 157, qws 166, flippant joke, qws 200, vote Taka for bandwagon 240, qws 242, votes for me post 317 (scummy, with smileys) questions why mafia would do something, "senses a sloppy mafia" post 334. Acts naive, qws 336, WIFOM post 346, unvotes 372

"In this mafia however, I feel that if I speak too much ill get hanged for it because I got a strange fetish of saying unnecessary stuff." Beefy post 372

Beefy points out he isn't lurking, and believes Ares' story. 374

Excuse post 402
Suspects are old vets, says Beefy (404)
and I agree to White_eyes. Towns has to be much more active then the current state. Other then that, I havn't got much to say. (404)
Guesses who will die tonight (404)
Not much, but if I get it right, I am awesome. (406)

quickpost with smiley, scummy excuse (408)
Acts guilty and remorseful, Blames himself, two smileys (412)

Ill come back when theres some kills And I hope I'm confusing the mafias about their kills tonight (scummy post 427)

Voted LittleGrizzly, 432
Unvotes, votes Reenk 461, Unvotes votes LG 464,
"Just get on to monastery or EB and say that its for researching history. Thats how I got through" 466, unhelpful.

No your fine. Reenk is acting scummy. Theres no need to blame your self for voting him. (defends white eyes and talks to him)

"I had a massive analysis but while my analysis sucks anyway, I'll avoid giving any ideas to mafia by posting it on the day phase.

EDIT: ok I pasted on the note pad. Its not much.." Post 486.

Quickpost with smiley, flippant joke 488

"Ignore me if you want but, let us not discuss during the night phase. I don't want mafia being enlighten about who to leave and who to kill"
Scummy acting by telling us not to talk post 533

"Your not the only lucky bastard White_eyes. I was chosen to be left alive along with two others. The feeling you get when you get the wrong one lynched is just priceless..." 535
Making an alibi
"oh and being left alive for scapegoating. They always do that to me."
SCUM

Post 537 refers to previous games.

"This mafia never ceases to amuse me

Kudos to you! However, you do have to be lynched fairly soon." 545
Why is that, Beefy?

"Lord Winter is correct. I just thought how funny it is that mafia are killing off people who starts to smell scummy and no it wasn't directed at you White_eyes." WIFOM argument, talks to white eyes only it seems. (559)

By page 8, Beefy hadn't done a darn thing to help us.

Beefy analysis page 561:
Taka: innocent
TC: guilty
Andres: guilty
Sigurd: unsure
WE: scummy
Boudica: ignores completely.

(Tincow was already a suspect, bandwagon. Why did he ignore boudica and clear Taka???)

"...Only until someone pops up and points out all the WIFOMs and flaws though" 563. Someone like me?

"No worries. I'm not used to being praised or being useful. Some criticism and pressure is exactly what I wanted.

EDIT: Read my post again and I smell sarcasm.. Sarcasm is not intended"
Too apologetic. 567

"taka has proven him self to be useful." post 579.
How? Defending people who haven't proven squat... scummy. WIFOM (579)
WIFOM (579)
After tincow, we are supposed to lynch taka. WHY beefy? (579)

"10 player left. One lynch, two kill. Two more rounds left. Last round will have four players left. Hopefully that clears up some options for us."
Indeed.

Post 581 (qws, talks about previous games instead of this case.)

"Well right now we got more then 2 suspects. In fact, pretty much every single player left is a suspect. "
Brilliant deductive reasoning, to save a mafia's butt. (585)

https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showpost.php?p=2113704&postcount=589
Beefy's excuse for not being here to see the big finish.
The final mistake.

"Can you not do discussions during night? Discuss via pms or during the day. Your doing no good but giving the mafia more chance to act all good and innocent"
604
Beefy tells me to shut up a second time. Andres gives him reasons not to suicide, and he was scum.

"Ok leaving in 7-8 hours. "
Real life, or classic mafia excuses? (672)

"Vote: Andres

His definitely a scum"
No independent analysis done, and no reasons given. Lazy, bandwagon, quickpost, 676

"Just give me a hour or two before I explain why Andres is a scum."
More excuses?

TOTAL WIFOM 684. "If I am a mafia, do I nod? Then do I continue with a
Then do I go. No I am not mafia. FoS: White_eyes Cmon, you can't catch a mafia like that."

Unvoted Andres. (686) AFTER CALLING HIM DEFINITE SCUM.

I sit in awe of his cool headed, but totally worthless townie play. His final excuse for not being here, and his final bandwagons, and his POOR logic should be the noose that hangs him.

Please read. every post is indicated by number.

I will repeat for all 4 remaining suspects, but seriously, read how every single post of Beefy's was worthless and scummy and got us nowhere.

Here's the file on Boudica.

As you can see, it's significantly different, and I'd remind you Boudica dropped off the face of the earth in several games. That's believeable or the most brilliant strategy I've ever seen.

Boudica, No vote (125) cool under pressure. Vote abstain 128. Posted tally 137.

"I'm assuming that the 'majority' abstains wouldn't prevent one of Yoyoma, myself and Chaotix being lynched - is that right?"
Innocent sounding question.

Quickpost with smiley (164) Lurks page 3. (at 80 posts per page)

"I find ATPG's constant reference to his own 'Wine In Front Of Him' as well as the voting and unvoting for himself pretty suspicious (if this was a poker hand I'd HAVE to call him), but his motivation seems at least to be to provoke discussion. The other reason I won't vote for him, this round at least, is that I'm fairly sure any response he made would leave me even dizzier" Does not bandwagon me. Nice. (248)

252- Good humor, responds to me, smiley face. Considers Beefy scum early. Continues to abstain. Not present rest of page 4.

Boudica: cool under pressure. Doesnt respond when people vote her.
not present page 5.
Not present page 6. Missing from other games too.

"Sorry not to have got a vote in 'Khaan. RL has been an infernal pest since the end of last week."
Excuse post, to be fair. Points out white eyes scummy behavior.

Doesnt participate rest of page 7.
In fairness, calls me out on potential scummyness. Vigilant, I like that. Not overdone either. Points out how suspect beefy is. Votes Beefy.
beefy immediately responds.

Doesnt participate rest of page 8.
Calls me unhelpful townie. (665)
Promises to post suspicions later. Lets see.

687- notes how scummy Beefy's AWOL is. Responds to Taka. Points out error in Beefy's logic.

I have nothing to say about Boudica except well done.
Points out Taka's blaming everyone. (698)

Boudica: Good townie, clean hands, no scummy posts. NONE.

I apologize for not paying closer attention to you. And I bow to your clearly superior analytical skills.

Askthepizzaguy

Bloodless hands, if you ignore his contribution to my lynch, which I can forgive.

Andres voted Sigurd late after only 5 posts. SCUM ANDRES.

Nothing page 9.

Nothing page 10.

Analysis: Totally innocent looking. Coolest mafia performance ever, or (occam's razor) TOWN.

If any of the "cleared" people here are mafia, THEY DESERVE TO WIN.

End of story. Sigurd is not mafia, or I will bow to his superior TOTAL LURK strategy. Andres voting for him at the end sealed the deal for me.

Skeptical of me after I suggest beefy suicide 634.

Favors me more than Andres 640. Guess he was listening!'

Asks me what I think of beefy 645. Never controls where town is going. No attempts to mislead us.

Votes Boudica for sound reasons.

Good humor post 682, all of page 9.

Responds to everyone 692. Cool as a cucumber.

I got lynched. I know I'm innocent, but the town clearly doesn't think the same.

So, instead of confusing them like you decide to do, I'll just shut up and let the living make their own decisions.

If you're on my team, i.e. the town, then I urge you to do the same for the benefit of our team. You're in the same position as me right now: somebody who got lynched and who's innocence is still seriously in doubt. If you're in such a situation, it is better not to post too much.

Just my humble opinion of course. You are free to play the game as you want

The town of Cicero was quieter than usual; several of its esteemed citizens having filled up the cramped space at the local morgue, with some of those already being put into their graves at the local cemetery. Taka had lost most of his friends and felt the need to pay them his respect. It seemed locking one’s self inside their home had not scared any killers away. There had always been a way to kill them. Taka brought a bouquet of roses and was placing a single rose on each of the graves of his former friends. He uttered a small prayer at each fresh grave, seeking comfort from above. It was an unusually quiet night, the fauna making nary a sound and the bad weather having been replaced by a starry heaven. The sound of a matchstick taking to fire could be heard across the bone yard. Taka stood up and turned towards the sound. A single man stood leaning against a tree, the darkness surrounding him briefly dispersing around his head as he lifted the burning matchstick to light a cigar. Taka could see that the man was wearing a fedora and that he had a normal face, not distinct enough to be remembered. The man winked out the fire and was again shrouded in darkness. Only the glow from the cigar when he inhaled was visible. “I had to come look for you taka. You were not at home as the others were.” Taka was stunned. The killer of his friends was standing there, with such confidence.
“Who are you and why are you killing us?” taka requested. The man reached for something in his trench coat pocket.
“I don’t have time to go into all that. I’ll say this though, it isn’t personal.” A brief flame appeared in front of the man and taka felt something strike him in the chest. His feet could no longer support him and he slumped to the ground. This was a bizarre feeling. It didn’t hurt. He spiraled slowly into darkness, and, finally, oblivion.

White_eyes:D had followed the advice of Chief Vonken as the others had. He locked the doors to his house and had barricaded them with furniture. He secured the windows with nails, painted them black and had blocked the chimney. If anyone happened to walk by, the house would appear abandoned. He moved to a room in the middle of the house, a room without windows. He took a seat in the single armchair there. Now he would wait for the morning and another day. He must have fallen asleep because he suddenly came to his senses as his house jolted. He could hear the roar of some machine outside. He stormed out of the room and went for the nearest window. He couldn’t see outside due to his recent artistry. He scraped at the paint with his nails and when he finally got enough etched away, he could see a giant bulldozer was rampaging in his front garden. The bulldozer was retracting from his house. It stopped and revved the engine. Black smoke came up from the twin exhaust towers in front of the steering house. The bulldozer came full throttle, crashing into his house. He could feel the entire structure shake from the force of the impact. This was madness. The person in the bulldozer could not hope to make this house collapse by crashing into it. Didn’t he know that this was a wooden house and that crashing into it would only take a piece of it at a time? But nonetheless he needed to get out. The house shook from another impact but this time something was different. The house shifted and the shaking continued. White_eyes:D went to the back of the house and scraped a slit in the black paint on a back window. When he was able to take a look outside, his eyes widened; the house had been torn off its foundation and was being pushed backwards, through the garden fence and towards the railway tracks that connected Chicago with the rest of the US. White_eyes:D ran to towards the back door, but it was completely blocked by furniture. He tried some of the windows, but he had nailed them shut. He turned to get something he could smash the windows with but couldn’t find anything useful. He had put every piece of furniture into the barricades that blocked the doors. He moved towards the nearest exit to retrieve something heavy when the shaking stopped. He stopped and listened intently. Could the crazy man in the bulldozer have given up? The sound of the Chicago express and its characteristic warning signal made White_eyes:D scramble towards the barricade. He had to get something fast. But as he grabbed a kitchen chair, he felt the vibration in the floors. Damn, he was too late. The wall next to him exploded and he barely saw the looming shadow of a locomotive over him before it went all black.

It can't be a mafia victory, if there's one of them left there'll still be another voting round.

Unless there's two left of course.

I wish I had your confidence.

In spite of the way I act, I am never sure of myself. I consciously try to project confidence.

Why do I have a feeling chief Vonken's gonna waste them?

Nah. Khaan was doing a regular GH style mafia.

If the game ends now, that means 2 out of the 3 remaining are mafia, or somehow the killers... killed each other.

I don't get it. There should be a day phase.

Chief Vonken paced about the station entrance, feeling highly agitated. He glanced back to his watch again. “8:58. Damn.” The Chief stepped back into the station quickly, to double check that his files were all in good order. Five minutes later, he came back outside, entirely surprised to find that Boudica, Sigurd, and Beefy were all present and waiting for him. All three wore dark, pinstriped suits. A fedora curiously adorned each head. The Chief cleared his voice before speaking. “Well, it seems that this is it. Last night, both taka and White_Eyes were murdered.” It seems that there is still at least one present killer amongst us. However, fear not. I finally made good contact with the new Mayor of Chicago. Seems he knows who is responsible for the killings. He should be here soon.” Boudica, Sigurd, and Beefy all looked at each other. “Well? Isn’t this great?”

“Actually…” two voices uttered slowly…

Before either could react, Beefy and Chief Vonken found themselves on the receiving end of two loaded pistol barrels each. The two raised their hands slowly, to indicate complete disarm. Boudica and Sigurd had, in a flash, pulled twin pistols each from their suit coats, each aiming a pistol at both Beefy and Chief Vonken. “You say the new Chicago mayor is coming to dear Cicero?” Boudica queried. “That’s good. Very good, in fact. We’ve got a dear friend coming in town as well. We can have a lovely time, I’m sure."

“You two?!” the chief shrieked. "It’s been you? You’ve killed all these innocent people? For what? What purpose can be had from our poor town?!”

As the chief finished, a sleek, armored, forest green Cadillac Town Sedan strolled up Jefferson Avenue, pulling to a stop just outside the station. Two large, burlesque men stepped out; each dressed quite nicely with suit and sunglasses. Each carried, in contrast to their suave appearance, a very brutal looking machine gun in their hands. One circled around, while the other helped someone step out of the door. From the passenger side of the car stepped out an olive-skinned, baby faced man. With a nice suit and fedora, he appeared a match for the well dressed folks at the entrance of the station. The man pulled a cigar from his coat pocket. The guard who helped him out of the vehicle struck a match and lit the cigar as it was held out.

“Thanks bud.” The Italian thanked his thug, before taking a couple of puffs on the cigar. “Well, looks like this is pretty well wrapped up, isn’t it. Good job.”

“Thanks boss!” Boudica and Sigurd eagerly thanked him.

“Well now… I believe you’re Mr. Vonken, eh?” The man asked the Chief.

“Yes… and you must be Capone,” the Chief responded.

“Yeah. Hey, you ain’t half as dumb as you look right now,” Capone taunted. “What’s the matter? Couldn’t even keep two meager assistants of mine in check? What a joke… I should have come here ages ago. I think Cicero will make a real nice base.”

“It’s too late!” Vonken crowed back to him. "The mayor of Chicago is already on his way here, along with an escort. You’ll never be able to use Cicero as a base, NEVER!” A smug little grin overtook both men’s faces. Capone strolled up to Vonken. Just as he opened his mouth to speak, a roaring engine was heard, coming from down the street. An armored police vehicle screamed down the street, screeching to a halt in front of the station. The Chief glanced up to the watch on his upheld wrist. “Right on time…” Chief Vonken's grin spread wider his face. It faltered, however, when Capone's own grin matched it.

Four men practically tumbled out the car. Mayor Dever, Lieutenant Jefferson, and two armed police officers. The two officers immediately raised pistols and came to the front, while Capone’s two guards raised their assault weapons. Capone quietly reached for his own pistol, as did Dever and Jefferson who brought up the rear of the officers.

“I knew it was going to be you, Capone!” Dever declared. “I knew you would run like a scared cat from Chicago when I became mayor. Just as I predicted, here you are. Killing innocents as always, trying to scare others into submission. Well, it is OVER for you."

“Really?” Capone responded. He shot a glance to one of his employees. “I think it is over for YOU.” Then, softly, he whispered. “Now…”

A loud bang shot out, causing several head’s to swivel to the source. Dever looked to his chest, as blood drained from a hole in his right breast. Shock overcame his face. Turning his head to his right, to the one man at his side.

“Jefferson? You…?” With that last word, Dever fell to the pavement. The officers looked on in shock. Jefferson merely turned his pistol to the officer on his right, while Capone raised his to the second officer.

“Well, boys,” Capone spoke. “You got two options. Lay down your weapons. Or die. Your choice.” The two officers, ever so slowly, set down their weapons before raising their hands in mimicry of Beefy and Chief Vonken. Once again, softly, Capone uttered the word, “now.” The two thugs blasted their assault weapons, blowing the unarmed officers away. The two collapsed not far from their Mayor, blood staining the pavement below. Capone turned back to Chief Vonken, whos face was set in complete shock, his jaw hanging slightly, though his hands remained up. A triumphant and gleeful smile overcame Capone’s face. “Now, now, what were you saying, Mr. Vonken? I think it’s time for us to have a little party…”

It won't hurt you guys like it hurt me.

Witness now the epic failure of the pizzaguy... whose analysis system does identify what kinds of behavior have happened, but only under skilled hands can that lead to the truth about who is really playing whom.

Dropping out of these games was a brilliant move by Boudica. Two or more games is a good alibi. But I should have known...

Both Beefy and Boudica were opposed to me the entire time. I went after Andres and Tincow for the same reasons.

Had Andres or Tincow ever backed off their dismissiveness of me, it might have dawned on me to look for more suspects.

I have to go now... I have a lot of weeping and sobbing to do... good luck in Ephesus... if we win that one, and Ibn-Khaldun was mafia, I will be redeemed somewhat.

Askthepizzaguy

Lesson learned, Pizzaguy:

The analysis system works only when you use it on everyone, and lurkers are 50/50 scum. The system won't prove if a lurker is innocent, that's a judgement call. Judgment calls require a human being to decide something. All the data in the world.... doesn't matter then.

Not everyone who opposes you to their dying breath, stubbornly, is guilty. They're just stubborn. Stubborn as you are.

Lesson learned, Tincow:

I will never be quiet if you don't listen to what I have to say. And if that happens, I probably will miss the other suspects. Give me a chance next time, wouldja? Now you know how suicidal I am with my life.

Lesson learned, Andres:

If you deny everything I say has merit, when you know better, I will always think you're scum.

Lesson learned, town:

Lynch the lurkers, please. No excuses. :smash:

Lesson learned, mafia:

Beefy left all kinds of tells. You know what to avoid next time.

I just want to apologise to Andres for the PM I returned regarding this game.
To my defence he contacted me IC and I answered him IC. I put some stuff in there that I knew Andres wouldn't publicise. I basically said that I was just being nice to seireikhaan by joining his game. That I didn't really wanted to play.
You now all know that this is not true. I was very much active by communicating with boudica and writing kill descriptions.
She will be is a very good Mafia player. I didn't think I would have lasted as long as I did, but I had full confidence that she would pull it off eventually.

The town had some beautiful friction going and we just pulled up chairs and shared a bucket of popcorn. We killed top suspects to throw in added paranoia in the town. It seemed to work. I think GH spotted this and gave his correct thoughts on it.
We had originally planned to keep the old vets into the final rounds, but RR got my detective detection device ringing. TinCow was lynched and we couldn't change that. We took GH out to possibly add some extra friction and confusion. Did it work i wonder? Andres we kept as long as possible. I would have kept him and lynched taka instead, but ... the game needed to end. I am a risk-taker, but with limits. :wiseguy:

Commentary: Pt I

First thing is first: THANK YOU ALL FOR PLAYING! :2thumbsup: Vanilla mafia games, as a function of their design, are inherently dependent on the participation of the players. The game will only be as enjoyable as those playing wish for it to be. I frankly didn't have a whole lot to do; the game, for the most part, played itself, sans a few hiccups. This was a very different experience for me, as my past large games have been extremely role heavy, with much of the "action" seeming to inevitably happen outside of the thread, involving only a handful of players. The best part of these kind of games is that EVERYONE is equally involved. This was one of my motivating factors for not including a detective. The fact that nobody except for the mafia had any idea what was going on more than anyone else was the aim I was shooting for.

As for the detective; I felt it, ultimately, unnecessary. In the most recent Mafia game, myself and Gaius Scribonius Curio were caught despite not having one. It seemed evident to me that the detective was an auxiliary weapon at the town's disposal which was rather unneeded. Further, the mafia in vanilla games have tended to be absolutely stone-walled at the endgame regardless of detective. This, along with aiming at ultimate thread inclusion, were my two primary reasons for not having a detective. The reason I listed the detective as a possibility was that I wanted to see if the mafia would try and pull a stunt in claiming the role for themselves.

In reference to my earlier statement about the "Curse of 'Khaan", I shall explain. It is really quite basic. I have hosted five games total, three large and two small. And, right now, the town is pulling what we call in sports an "0-for". Yes, the town has yet to win even one of my mafia games. But, it goes even FURTHER than that. The town has pulled an "0-for" in regards to lynching. What I mean, specifically, is this. The town, in FIVE GAMES, has NOT LYNCHED EVEN A SINGLE SCUMBAG! NOT ONE! Not one mafioso, not one serial killer, NADA. I'm frankly shocked. I can somewhat understand Spirit Mafia, which was still very role heavy despite not having the numbers I seeked, which was a mistake upon my part as host. But, honestly... Five games, and not one single scumbag lynch. I'm still trying to absorb it. I don't know how or why it's happened. The two small games were both vanilla-ish, nothing special. My first two large games were role-oriented, meaning there were plenty of scum-roles to lynch, but they always found ways to kill each other off first. And here...? The only thing I can think of is that Sigurd and Boudica both just played that well. But still, the town must shoulder some blame for the Total Mafia Victory. There was a lot of "white noise" in the game, whether it was the Great Wall of Pizzaguy Text, or the discussion about what was or wasn't in the writeups. I guess my general advice in future games would be to always watch for the "gunman on the grassy knoll", as Yoyoma had put it at some point. In this game, the town too easily allowed itself to get fixated upon a single thing at a time, ultimately never getting around to the lurkers.

The best way is go with your instincts and personal views IMO, as others can twist your vote and others can do uncertain investigations, but if there wrong all the people which agreed are wrong too, people should vote individually, too much influence of other players may have affect mafias been lynched because people tend to vote outright at one person, not spreading the vote leaves a slim chance that mafia will be lynched realistically.

Well I felt the need to explain my bone-headed actions and promise town not to fail you again, especially not in such a fantastically bad way. SkyNet will be overhauled, and with every further game I play it shall be improved. These recent losses have been noted, and I will not be so quick to judge players in the future... and if I had used the darn thing properly to begin with, none of this would have happened.

If you want to know what happened, Pizzaguy's Corner post 56 explains it. Well earned victory, Sigurd and Boudica. You shall not best me again using that tactic.

Sad, I had already learned not to trust lurkers. It was my oversight not to follow my own system. What a terrible, terrible waste... and a bad judgment call.
