Day Two
Greyblades sat in his room, reflecting on his life. He was happy that it was all over... there would be no more pain, no more agony. In fact, he wanted to listen to a song which would express his wonderful emotions that he was feeling, facing death. His life had been a roller coaster ride, and so it seemed fitting that Don Felder's "Takin' a Ride (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNG_Kn-m73M&feature=related)" was on the radio.
Oh, the crazy ride he had been on. Every day, it was another mess of riding high, and feeling low. Self esteem was usually pretty low, but there were times he felt totally invincible, much like a certain pizza man. It was nice to know that he was not alone in his struggle... lots of people suffered from this sort of affliction; in Greyblades' case it was stronger than most, and so he had been committed. But he was a nice guy, even if he couldn't control his emotions. A certain guitar riff really got to Greyblades... and he started to cry. He couldn't explain why... but he suddenly realized he had failed in his task to destroy the Psycho... and that there was no stopping his inevitable death. He was suddenly very, very depressed, and considered suicide... but he had faced such feelings before. If he could just hold on for a few more minutes, he would be fine. The door to his room was kicked in, and the violent mob of mental patients approached. Time seemed to slow down... if only he could tell people all about himself, share with them his struggles... maybe they would understand. Maybe they would share back. But that was prohibited in this game, if not in others. When Greyblades saw that a large, heavy wooden two by four was being swung at his head, he suddenly felt another emotional shift... for some reason, this was all very amusing. What a ride.

Night Two
Captain Blackadder said he would stay awake all night, but he did not live up to his words. He fell asleep, but he was watched. Detective Andy was not the only one watching him. Apparently he had captured the attention of at least two people. They watched him for most of the night, but they left before what happened next.
Someone came for Blackadder that night. The Psycho had returned, to claim another victim. Blackadder was muttering to himself in his sleep... "I'm still awake... I'm still awake", and for a moment, the Psycho paused, worried that he might have been caught. But the madness returned; the madness that drove him to murder. The Psycho took a hammer and swung it at Blackadder's face as hard as he could. The Good Captain was no more, and his tongue would be forked no longer.
The Psycho swung over and over again, long after the deed was done. Then the Psycho began rummaging through Blackadder's room, looking for something. He tore the room apart in a fit of rage, and broke a chair against the wall. Disgusted, the Psycho left the room, and the awful mess he had left on Blackadder's bed would not be found until the morning.

Hmm, this is odd, looks like the killer could actually be Detective Andy - he was watching both and both were killed in the write up. Maybe he has bi-polar disorder or perhaps some form of multiple-personality disorder. Either that or the phyco gets told who get investigated before the night phase (that would be awkward if Andy were to submit late though). We'll see how things go tomorrow.

Night Three
Beefy187 was sitting in his room, thinking about lots of things. For example, all the people he had been watching recently. He himself had been watched very closely by several people. But he didn't trust any of them. They were all up to no good, as far as Beefy was concerned. He drew many little pictures of smiley faces to express what he was feeling, but few people understood. He carried around a tape recorder to record what people had said, but no one listened to his recordings. He made hand gestures, and they still failed to listen.
Listening (http://www.sharrysplace.com/Lyrics/Pop/rhythm-of-falling-rain.html)... that was the lesson for tonight.
They all had failed to listen to Beefy... who couldn't speak his mind. And now, he couldn't say who was in his room, about to kill him. Beefy accepted the inevitable... but he didn't much care for his attacker, who purported to be some kind of Provider.
The Provider died in a massive fireball which could only have come from Heaven.... or Hell.

Our suspicions are correct, the Provider was taka, which White_eyes sought to find. We say there are a group of masons, being taka, White_eyes and possibly shlin too, but definitely White_eyes we know he was neutral, we have seen it.

Ok folks, I am detective Andy.
Night one, investigated Yoyoma1910 - he was innocent and he died. I was going to investigate boudicca. Then she got lynched - ATPG did say to me, however, "good shot" after I PMed those instructions to him (early during the day phase).
Night two investigated Captain Blackadder - he was innocent and he died.
Night three investigated Beefy187. Something odd happened here. I was "hit over the head, bound and gagged", my investigation failed and he died.
Now, I believe that the phyco has his orders linked to mine. He kills whoever I investigate. This makes me a coroner more than anything really.
I didn't investigate last night (I was obviously blocked by somebody), meaning that he didn't kill. I don't understand this provider stuff, but I somehow get the feeling that his objective is to kill somebody. He has one chance, and dies if he fails. He thought it was Beefy and so attacked him.
Now, I believe that if I target the phyco, he will be forced to kill either himself or somebody else revealing himself to me.
Looking at that most recent write up BTW, Beefy187 was the other person who was watching who I was investigating. I feel he was harmless based upon what the write up said however, possibly just doing that as part of his insane role.
Anyhow, that's my summery ~:)

If nobody's noticed yet, I happen to be the local cannibal. I mean, come on, in every post I've alluded to eating someone.
But listen- I don't eat the living people, only the ones who are already dead- that would be murder, and I'm not a murderer, I just prefer the taste of human flesh to other delicacies. And so far, none of our lynched friends has had a decidedly evil taste to them, either.

And here is my suggestion, we have two lynch targets:
1. Gobbledygook. He's a pyromaniac. How did Beefy and taka die? In a huge fireball. He must be a suspect until he explains himself. Also, he left me to cook woad&fangs alone after making the fire for me last night. What else could he have been doing? He could be a vigilante, though, because we also have to think about...
2. Omanes. His detective reveal, quite frankly, stinks of scum to me. Now, I don't doubt that he is Detective Andy- otherwise, someone else would've claimed it by now. But whoever he decides to investigate, mysteriously dies? That is one of the most ridiculous ways to cover up for murder I have seen yet. I believe our Detective is the Psycho. Perhaps Omanes himself doesn't even know it, and he has a split personality or something.
Remember: ATPG's games almost always have a huge twist. In Futurama mafia, for example, it was the good doctor who was supposed to be kept alive for a town victory who turned out to be the traitor. This seems like a perfect set-up for ATPG...

Exactly. This is why I predict that Omanes himself doesn't know that he's mafia. He has a split personality, and every time he tries to investigate someone, he winds up killing him instead. Otherwise, why would he be in a sanitarium? Wouldn't it make more sense to put a one-time murderer in jail? In the opening write-up he's portrayed as a relatively sane person, and only killed someone out of rage. He doesn't have any noticeable dementia, because in his mind he is completely sane. It's his other personality that has different ideas.

Do not think that that thought hasn't passed through my head Chaotix27. When I meaninglessly mentioned that idea in an e-mail to ATPG and suggested handing myself over to lynch, he told me to think more carefully before doing that. It's not 100% confirmation, and he could be purposefully misleading me, but I somehow don't think that I am unknowingly the murderer.
Sorry Psychonaut, BTW, I'm struggling to understand that post of yours. If you don't mind me asking, could you give a sane translation. How do you know all those roles? Why do you give Lord Winter the benefit of the doubt and are coloring him blue? Although I don't suspect you, it would be nice to know the truth.
Not all of those roles are always going to be pro-town, for example, the phyco could have multiple abilities, for example, he could role block. It seems unlikely, but shouldn't be ruled out.
Does anybody have any ideas who I should investigate/inadvertently kill tonight. There are three possibly strategies. I can "kill" random people to minimize damage, I can not investigate at all (is that possible ATPG) but stagnate finding the killer and/or I could "kill" those who you guys find most suspicious and see what happens.
Of course, the phyco's orders may not be attached to mine at all, him optionally following me so he can force me into revealing. This does seem a little far fetched though and I wouldn't expect ATPG to leave that option open to him. It could also be coincidence, but three nights in which the phyco has mimicked me suggest that its much more than that.
Any thoughts?

I think Omanes reveal is real, or I want to belive that anyway. Why would he invent a possible twist that could get him killed if he could just fake a standard one.
The writeup consfuses me, we know Beefy knew his killer and that Taka was in the room. From the there the writeup is less clear. Did beefy blow up the bomb? Was Taka the killer too. For now I think the heathenish followers deserve alot more attention then they've been getting.

ATPG, when I sent in my orders, said that if I was concerned about myself, why not investigate myself. If that's ok, I'll go along with that. The problem is the phyco will probably end up killing me - not sure whether I'm going to risk that. It could, however, shed light on whether the theory that I actually am the phyco is correct or not, even if I do doubt it.

Day Four
777Ares777 was walking through the halls of the Asylum, noting the graffiti on the walls, and correcting the spelling of certain words with a big red marker. After each correction, he would toss the marker away, and take out some hand sanitizer, and thoroughly sanitize his hands. Then, he would find the nearest sink, and wash his hands three times. He was immaculately dressed, and there wasn't a spot on his hospital gown. He was not the crazy one; everyone else was. They were all a bunch of disgusting, lazy slobs, spreading their feces and vomit and urine everywhere; as well as their disgusting hair and skin. He saw all the bloody messes left behind by all the murders, and he nearly blew a gasket. Then he turned around and saw the damage to the abandoned wing of the hospital from all the fires that had been set in the building, and his eyes started to twitch... finally he fled, screaming as loud as he could... until he came to the part of the asylum which had been obliterated by the huge explosion from last night. He saw this huge, bloody mess, and he went completely insane.
The crowd was approaching... but he wanted to murder them all.... all of them had to die now... so he charged at them screaming bloody murder, and tackled the first person he saw. He bit down into their flesh and punched and kicked.... but he was quickly overwhelmed and bludgeoned over the head with something heavy and blunt. He saw stars, and the madness seemed to go away... there was peace. Peace at last inside Ares' mind... no more spelling mistakes. No more blood and filth... no more messes to clean....

In the PM that ATPG sent to me he bolded the word "medication" and "brace it against the door" referring to a metal bar that I had used to barricade myself in earlier. When I woke up, the bar was gone and all my anti-depressant medication had been taken.
So, at a guess, somebody came into my room and started eating medication. Either that or my "alternative side", if I have one, took the bar off the door and started eating my medication, but I can see no logic in that.

I'm incredibly worried about the fires as they are severely limiting my scope for holiday destinations, but I'm more worried about the Psycho who is killing us one by one...except - oh yeah when Lord Winter is blocked.
You Provider types are clearly some sort of neutral group with your own victory conditions - which I guess have been scuppered - Lord Winter is the sensible lynch. Maybe then we can work out how to use the fire extinguishers without worrying about being clubbed to death.

I actually think I can claim to be the one who used all of those drugs. See, I was feeling like a feast yesterday night, and so I brought wine and Omanes' drugs with me when I chowed down on taka's corpse. Reportedly, he tasted "heavenly".
As much as it pains me to do so, as I need fire to cook my delicious meals and the gas stoves in the kitchen are in terrible condition, Gobbledygook's firestarting is going to wind up killing us all. And we wouldn't want that to happen, I very much like living as I'm sure most of you do.
I say we get rid of the pyromaniac today, and if this game continues, then we have to get rid of Omanes. After all, he investigated no one and there was no kill. He could be the killer without even knowing it.

The write-up gave us - some - warning of our impending doom if the pyromaniac isn't stopped. If we lynch Gobbledegook today then at least some of us should stand a chance of surviving. As White_Eyes:D suggested - although I can't say I trust him completely - we can still take the major suspects on vacation for one night more and then hopefully lynch them in order of priority.
I would urge all of you mentalists to vote Gobbledegook today.

Day Five:
Gobbledygook was in an abandoned wing of the asylum, near the food reserves and the transformer. He was pouring gasoline all over the place, muttering to himself; "Fire fire fire fire fire fire fire fire yes yes burn burn fire fire fire fire everything burns everything dies fire fire fire fire...."
He lit a match, and tossed it at his feet, but he had gotten gasoline all over himself, and he set himself on fire. Oh the pain... the sweet delicious pain... he was covered in beautiful, elegant, delicious fire. He was in heaven. "YESS!!!!! FIRE!!!! FFFFFIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRREEEEEEE!!!!! BURN ME, YE GODS OF PRECIOUS FIRE!!!!" And he lost consciousness and fell into the transformer, and was electrocuted to death while he was burning. Now there was a fire out of control on the other wing... and the food reserves were all gone. They were miles and miles away from nowhere, in the Greenpepper Mountains... no one could hear their calls for help... no one could hear them scream.

Night Five
There was a song playing on the radio in Lord Winter's room; The God that Failed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm9vD9U3j94) by Metallica. This song would have special meaning for the God of Winter.
"This song rules!" thought Lord Winter, as he jammed out to the awesome lyrics. He had taken apart his shotgun, and was polishing every single piece. He was about to go out and protect shlin28 from the Devil tonight, but the Psycho burst into his room and took him completely by surprise. Not one for man to man combat, Lord Winter knew he was done for. Accepting his fate, he launched himself towards his nemesis in a suicidal rush, grabbing what he could as a weapon and using it to flail against the Psycho. It seemed as though the Psycho could not be destroyed using such weapons, and the efforts of Lord Winter were in vain. No, Psycho was not going to be taken down today. Lord Winter flew into a rage and used every ounce of strength to destroy the Psycho, but it had no effect. Resigned to defeat, Lord Winter watched as the metallic object struck him in the face, ending his life. Lord Winter did not resist.
Once again, the Psycho went rummaging throught the drawers looking for something. He found something in Lord Winter's cabinet, and immediately took it. His shaking stopped for a brief moment, and he went back to his room. Meanwhile, the fires in the east wing raged out of control, and surrounded the room marked "Kralizec". Boudica was inside, and she watched in calm serenity as the flames came closer and closer. She walked calmly into the fire and allowed herself to die. Her sacrifice would not be in vain.... if the Psycho could be destroyed.
The fires in the west wing were now spreading... tomorrow, more will die. Detective Andy woke up with a headache.

Fair warning: This may be your final chance to catch the Psycho. If you're not sure... I would advise you not to lynch.
Votes or actions must be in by 2359, March 24th, 2009 Eastern Daylight Savings Time, USA.
We didn't get our block orders in in time yesterday. So yeh. Seems our original thoughts on Lord Winter were correct. He was innocent. At this stage it's looking pretty bad. We'll withhold our vote since from the outside we understand it looks like it could be anyone of us.
My Gobbledygook salad tasted horribly of evil last night. Now we know the full consequences of his firestarting. He played with fire, and now we're starting to get burned.
I predict either one or two people will die in the fires next night phase. Add that to a lynch and a Psycho kill, and the Psycho wins. In fact, if two people get burned, then the Psycho wins even if we don't lynch. That's not a chance I would like to take right now...
Because I am almost certain it is Omanes. Every night write-up alludes to Detective Andy. Lord Winter attacked the Psycho before he was killed, presumably hitting him in the head with a makeshift weapon. Detective Andy woke up with a headache.

And I am curious to see who Omanes "investigated" last night, too.

A few thoughts, the psycho seems to be exhibiting drug like behavior. For each of his victims he searches for something desperately and often seems very angry every time he doesn't find it, classic druggy behavior. He also shakes throughout the kills, a symptom of withdrawal.
As for the lynches today I think either Omanes or white_eyes. The killing of each investigation target is to weird for a pure coincidence. Furthermore his behavior hasn't been consistent and has rasied more questions then it has answered.
He starts the game off with random posts, which at first I took as his role. However, looking back, it makes they make no sense if you presume that Omanes is Detective Andy. In fact they let him get by with no input at all. After that he launches a full attack against Boucida, based on nothing besides the fact that she saved herself in the (one vote) tie. Something any townie will do. After that he attacks Boucida again for no meaningful reason. Something that I find scummy. The drug use theory also fits with the idea of Andy not knowing that he is the killer.
In summery, Omanes has been inconsitant in his behavior, he has not used logic and his votes have been either on cliche mafia behavior or completely random. The reveal does not add up with his past behavior, and leaves more questions then answers. With the write up, his behavior and the reveal, Omanes would be excellent choice for a lynch.
White_eyes is my other suspect. I don't have alot of evidence for this. All I have, is my gut. To me White_eyes activity seems very similar to GF3. Also he was blocked last night when we did not have any kills.

As per the rules, I cannot give you the pm that I received. I can paraphrase it for you.
I decided to eat taka that night- this time, it was special. Usually, I just eat the person, and get a feeling in my stomach as to if they had any evil in them- Gobbledygook gave me some very bad indigestion, and boudica's first role also had a small bit of uneasiness, too- she may have been a vigilante or something. Everyone else tasted delicious....
But taka was the best. His flesh tasted so delicious that it warranted my "taking" of a bottle of wine and some drugs. That's as much as I remember, I was hopped up on medication, after all.
But then the night end write-up showed that Omanes/Andy's drugs had been taken from him. I deduced that these were probably the same drugs that I used that same night, and proclaimed it to keep anyone else from jumping to false conclusions, as they had begun to- I had nothing to hide, after all, and any information I could share could only help the rest of you.
Your hypothesis, Lord Winter, that Andy is a drug addict, is probably spot-on, now that I think about it. The evidence is all there, and it's making Omanes look very guilty right now. I say he has to be lynched.
And finally, to White_Eyes: If you would look at the evidence around you, there is a much better target to lynch than Psychonaut right now. I'm not getting scummy vibes from him at all, actually.

No blocking happened as I / Kralizec died in the fires. With Lord Winter dead I would say Omanes has to go. If that doesn't end things then it would appear Psychonaut has been pulling the wool over all our collective eyes. But I wouldn't lynch Psychonaut before Omanes - no way.

I investigated Lord Winter - thought that was kind of obvious. ATPG said that "he died before I got there", this being unusual since they normally die after I've checked them out, but I still managed to find his file.
This, to me, suggests that I am not the phyco. Perhaps, however, if I do have dual/multiple personality disorders I still could be. I woke up with a headache which is something else that may be worth noting if it has any significance.
This is what I've got so far
Lord Winter - Sociopath "voices in his head" - Stalker (Defender/Roleplayer)
Beefy187 - failed, died, but I think that was coincidence
Captain Blackadder - Pathological Liar - Townie
Yoyoma1910 - Word Phobia "scared of certain words" - Townie

ATPG said to me that I should have all the clues I need to solve this mystery and to "take my best guess" as to how to carry on.
He did actually say "you", not sure whether he's referring to the whole town or just me. Gah! I'll let you all look back and decide without me. If you lynch me and the town is saved then well done. If not then not quite so well done. It's a 50:50 gamble and I, not really having a single clue, would rather not influence it.
I'm going to be really interested to see the role list at the end of the game ~:)

Edit: To clarify, we could have used it on Omanes, but chose to use Lord Winter instead, which did nothing.
Edit2: Just some thoughts, Omanes and White_eyes were blocked for two rounds in which no kills occurred. And when we copied White_eyes it didn't really implicate him as being bad, the wording wasn't the form we'd expect if he were the killer. So, the only player we still don't really know much about is shlin, he's flew under the radar the whole game, but then again he isn't really as suspicious as Omanes. :wall:

Best I can do as a neutral host. Double hints... you should feel special. Clues in rhyme... mmm mmm delicious. The last message sent to me by the divine Taka, the underlined bit and the bolded bit are added by him - because of them, the divine Taka chose to bomb Beefy.
However, now that I think more about them now... I think it is Psychonaut.
Why?
1. His schizo behaviour - "He (Taka) cannot see the forest for the trees" - a clear hint at multiple personalities.
2. His post count - 1/10 of the posts in this game are his. I don't remember him ever being that active. A quick look through the post counts in other games supports this.
Here's my theory:
Psychonaut is Andy's bad side, the manical side, or a ghost/spirit that represents vengence or something along that lines. He speaks in plural form because he represents Andy's repressed feelings, and Andy cannot be killed cos Psychonaut is alive. This is why Andy survived a long time - because the Psycho cannot kill him.
Also, another clue from Taka from ages ago:
Three can see... let them be.
Who are they? Who is he?
Four tonight, they all could see.
But someone's eyes are shut, so three.
Can you see, Taka? Can you see? This suggests that Andy's blind to the truth - hence he cannot investigate Psychonaut or do anything to him. The "Who are they" comment could suggest 3 detectives, or link back to schizophrenia demonstrated by Psychonaut again.
Because of this, I will vote: Psychnaut
If I get this wrong, then I am sorry in advance :bow:, but I really believe Psychonaut is the Psycho :sweatdrop:
Omanes, if you are the Psycho and really don't know it yourself, as in you have a split personality, then you can possibly be both townie and mafia. That said, if you can't win unknowingly as the Psycho, you may as well win with town by voting for yourself- this will show that Detective Andy has really solved the mystery. Wouldn't he be willing to turn himself in if he realized how dangerous he was?
This is hinging on the fact, however, that you really believe you are town, and are not just scum who is lying to us... :laugh4:
Edit: To shlin- this is an interesting hypothesis, but it may not make a whole lot of sense within the context of the game. How can Andy's dark side have a separate vote from Andy? And again, at least we believe Psychonaut's role to be a copycat who can take other people's abilities. Can we have a confirmation that Psychonaut's abilities have worked in the past?

This makes no sense whatsoever, as if he picks a random person, he would not know what that power is being used, and the phases would be extended a lot as ATPG tells Psychonaut what the power is, and then Psychonaut telling ATPG what to do with the power.

I am fairly certain that Pscyconaught is innocent and that his increase in posts can be accounted for with his pro-town role. Shlin's reasons also have very little logic behind it and could implicate anyone.

I have no intention of breaking the tie - perhaps my death would be best for the town. Sadly we can't "trial" it and then bring me back to life. I would rather not be lynched, but I'm not going to obstruct the town if they think I'm inadvertently guilty.

shlin, Psychonaut gained the ability to roleblock by copying it from someone else (probably Kralizec/Boudica V. II).
He is most likely given a choice each night of either copying someone's power (which he would have had to do at the beginning) or using one of the powers he's already copied, i.e. roleblocking or investigating.
Why is this so difficult to understand? His ability is not very outlandish within mafia game mechanics. Your case is really very weak, shlin... I still think you and white_eyes are looking for excuses and just voting for Psychonaut because his name has the word "Psycho" in it.
Remember, this is most likely our last lynch. If we don't get the Psycho today, then that leaves four of us for the night phase. Then one person is killed by the Psycho, and another one is burned to death in the fire. That leaves two, and one is still the Psycho. Mafia victory.
What else could Taka's clues could have meant then? They have to mean something, and Psychonaut is the only person who kinda fits in with them.

ATPG would not make such a twist that easy....
In my hypothesis, the twist is not that the supposed Detective is the murderer, it is that the Detective doesn't know he's the murderer. This is why Omanes would have no qualms about posting his findings that everyone he tries to investigate dies- Omanes believes he is pro-town, and the role he is playing is pro-town. But because we're talking about mental patients here, it's likely that Omanes' particular affliction, which is never actually detailed in any write-up, unlike all of our individual dementias, is that he has a split personality and doesn't know it. This split personality of his also happens to be a psychotic killer and a raging drug addict, and so when Detective Andy thinks that he's investigating people, in reality Psycho takes over and kills the person, searching for drugs.
Give me a half hour or so and I will have a full analysis ready for you, containing every night write-up and any of the other ones that I feel are significant. I'll also include summaries of my "late-night snacks" for you, if you so wish.

Basically, we pick a player during the day phase, and then pick a player to act upon. Early on we had no idea what would do what. In the results all became clear, especially when we found useful other's boudica's roleblock and Beefy's investigative powers.

March 7th, 2009.
The Crusty Asylum for the Criminally Interesting.
Daybreak.
The clock radio went off inside Detective Andy's room. From the tiny speakers came Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train, and it seemed fitting. Last night there was a terrible storm, and a transformer blew just outside the Asylum. The backup generator was not functioning. The security locks for all of the rooms had been shut down, and the mental patients had been able to escape. The few orderlies had been massacred by some kind of serial killer. Andy had seen the carnage unfold outside his room, and he barred the door before he went to bed to keep himself from danger. There was no contact with the outside world, because the Asylum was in a remote area of the rural state and both the power and the phone lines were down.
Andy was there voluntarily; his wife had been brutally murdered while he was working late one night, and he never recovered. After several bouts with depression, he finally decided to commit himself. He had been doing better, and was on medication. Until now, he had been able to leave whenever he wanted. Now 15 deranged lunatics stood between him and freedom... and at least one of them was a known serial killer. The fallen nurses and doctors who had been victimized called out to him. He knew that he could attempt to escape unharmed, but Andy had been a detective all his adult life. He saw one of the bloodied and battered female nurses... and it reminded him of his late wife. He vowed to solve this case himself. Perhaps then, no more innocent people would have to die. Andy armed himself with the metal bar which he used to hold his room shut at night, for self defense, and took a notepad and pencil with him to investigate the huge crime scene. There was much work to be done. He had to avenge the deaths of the innocent. He had to find...
Psycho
This is our first look at Detective Andy. The first paragraph is a bit vague... obviously Andy sees dead bodies outside his room, knows that there must have been a serial killer here, and bars his door. Then he goes to sleep.
Next paragraph gives a background on Andy... says his wife was brutally murdered while he was working late. When do all of these Psycho kills occur? Late at night. How and why would somebody brutally murder his wife with an armed detective nearby? Perhaps Andy dozed off for a while was he was working... and awoke to find his wife dead. Notice Andy also arms himself with a metal bar.
The Day One Lynch write-up mentions Detective Andy, but only for two sentences:
Detective Andy was among them, and he was holding the metal bar. Andy knew from looking over his files that boudica was Mental Patient # 84703.
Incidentally, after eating boudica I got a slight case of indigestion, so she may have had a neutral role, or something violent besides.
The Crusty Asylum was active that night... many people were found roaming the halls. The sounds of moaning and banging and screaming made it impossible to rest. Detective Andy finished his investigation and barred the door to his room and tried to rest. The sounds outside his room were haunting. Many others could not rest, and some spent their time banging their heads against the walls of their rooms, and in an abandoned wing of the facility, someone had set a fire. The sprinkler system took care of it, but it was unusual that anyone would even be over there.
It was just before dawn, and Yoyoma1910 was sitting in his room, with a pile of books in front of him, and a black marker. He was furiously scribbling out all the evil words that he could find, especially the EVIL words. He made sure to blot out any quoted lines of dialogue as well.... he muttered to himself and drew pictures occasionally. He knew the supreme form of communication was not the word, but the graven image.
The door to his room had been left open, and he did not look up when someone entered. The intruder was wielding a knife, possibly one from the cafeteria. It was a crude instrument designed for a peaceful purpose, turned into a weapon. The Psycho was merciless, brutally stabbing Yoyoma1910 well past the point of death.
It was a senseless act of deplorable violence. The Psycho started rummaging through the drawers of Yoyoma's room, as if looking for something. His body was shaking violently. Not finding what he wanted, he left the room, and Yoyoma's body behind. Slowly the pool of blood from Yoyoma's remains rolled into the main hallway. He was found the next morning.
This gives us specifics on what Andy does He investigates early in the night, and returns to his room to rest. Then, after he goes to sleep, the Psycho appears. The Psycho, after killing Yoyoma, is seen to be looking for what we now know are probably drugs. As Lord Winter mentioned before, the behavior is very characteristic of a drug addict. And we know Andy is always hopped up on antidepressants...
We also know that Andy investigated Yoyoma earlier that night, as Omanes has told us. Perhaps Andy noticed Yoyoma's dresser, and the Psycho remembered it and decided to search there.
The Day Two lynch is uneventful, concerning Greyblades. That night, he tasted undoubtedly of innocence.
Captain Blackadder said he would stay awake all night, but he did not live up to his words. He fell asleep, but he was watched. Detective Andy was not the only one watching him. Apparently he had captured the attention of at least two people. They watched him for most of the night, but they left before what happened next.
Someone came for Blackadder that night. The Psycho had returned, to claim another victim. Blackadder was muttering to himself in his sleep... "I'm still awake... I'm still awake", and for a moment, the Psycho paused, worried that he might have been caught. But the madness returned; the madness that drove him to murder. The Psycho took a hammer and swung it at Blackadder's face as hard as he could. The Good Captain was no more, and his tongue would be forked no longer.
The Psycho swung over and over again, long after the deed was done. Then the Psycho began rummaging through Blackadder's room, looking for something. He tore the room apart in a fit of rage, and broke a chair against the wall. Disgusted, the Psycho left the room, and the awful mess he had left on Blackadder's bed would not be found until the morning.
Again, explicit mention that Andy was investigating Blackadder. Presumably another detective or roleblocker did the same, although I'm unsure who and it doesn't really matter. Then he leaves... and the Psycho comes back. The Psycho kills Blackadder, is dissappointed at finding nothing in the room, and leaves. Again, I think that the Psycho personality has limited memory of the Andy personality's last actions and uses that to decide who to kill and raid.
When I found this, post # 300, I was surprised:
Hmm, this is odd, looks like the killer could actually be Detective Andy - he was watching both and both were killed in the write up. Maybe he has bi-polar disorder or perhaps some form of multiple-personality disorder. Either that or the phyco gets told who get investigated before the night phase (that would be awkward if Andy were to submit late though). We'll see how things go tomorrow.
Omanes is actually the first person to suggest that Andy has a split personality, literally pages before we came up with the idea, and everyone ignored him. Omanes is Andy. Why is he suggesting this? Does he want to make himself look guilty? Rather, he wants to help the town. Omanes/Andy is town, but he is also the Psycho and doesn't know it.
Woad & Fangs' Day Three lynch is not useful. I ate him, he was innocent.
Beefy187 was sitting in his room, thinking about lots of things. For example, all the people he had been watching recently. He himself had been watched very closely by several people. But he didn't trust any of them. They were all up to no good, as far as Beefy was concerned. He drew many little pictures of smiley faces to express what he was feeling, but few people understood. He carried around a tape recorder to record what people had said, but no one listened to his recordings. He made hand gestures, and they still failed to listen.
Listening... that was the lesson for tonight.
They all had failed to listen to Beefy... who couldn't speak his mind. And now, he couldn't say who was in his room, about to kill him. Beefy accepted the inevitable... but he didn't much care for his attacker, who purported to be some kind of Provider.
The Provider died in a massive fireball which could only have come from Heaven.... or Hell.
Now we know from Omanes himself that he attempted to investigate Beefy but didn't get to, because taka (The Provider) did it instead. Then the fires started by Gobbledygook started killing.. and took down taka. When I dined on taka, he was heavenly but with a bit of spice, indicating he was probably our benevolent vigilante.
Ares' lynch on Day Four gives us nothing except for the fact that he was killed with a "blunt object". This could have been Andy's pipe, but also could have been the two-by-four, the butt of LW's shotgun, etc. Not evidence.
Detective Andy locked himself inside his room that night... and in the morning, he found an awful mess.... a mess left by the White Rabbit.

No one died that night, but the fires that were constantly being set were now raging out of control.

The end was near for everyone inside the asylum. Would they be able to catch the Psycho?
Soon, death comes.
Now this is the one that takes the cake. Omanes didn't investigate anyone that night, he told us so. And so Andy just went to bed and locked his door. How, then, did the mess of used drugs get in Andy's room if it was locked? Was it Andy himself? No, he was sleeping and didn't know how the mess got there. As I previously stated, this was the night that I dined on taka's sweet flesh. This was the night that I stole Andy's drugs! So then how did I get into the room if he barred the door with a metal pipe?? I may be a cannibal, but I don't have superhuman strength!
The Psycho left Andy's room open when he took the metal pipe with him to go murder someone that night. But he didn't know who to kill or whose room to raid because Andy didn't investigate anyone. That's how I got the drugs.
....Day Five, we lynched Gobbledygook. I know he was evil because he gave me terrible indigestion when I made a Gobbledygook Salad with gasoline dressing out of him.
There was a song playing on the radio in Lord Winter's room; The God that Failed by Metallica. This song would have special meaning for the God of Winter.
"This song rules!" thought Lord Winter, as he jammed out to the awesome lyrics. He had taken apart his shotgun, and was polishing every single piece. He was about to go out and protect shlin28 from the Devil tonight, but the Psycho burst into his room and took him completely by surprise. Not one for man to man combat, Lord Winter knew he was done for. Accepting his fate, he launched himself towards his nemesis in a suicidal rush, grabbing what he could as a weapon and using it to flail against the Psycho. It seemed as though the Psycho could not be destroyed using such weapons, and the efforts of Lord Winter were in vain. No, Psycho was not going to be taken down today. Lord Winter flew into a rage and used every ounce of strength to destroy the Psycho, but it had no effect. Resigned to defeat, Lord Winter watched as the metallic object struck him in the face, ending his life. Lord Winter did not resist.
Once again, the Psycho went rummaging throught the drawers looking for something. He found something in Lord Winter's cabinet, and immediately took it. His shaking stopped for a brief moment, and he went back to his room. Meanwhile, the fires in the east wing raged out of control, and surrounded the room marked "Kralizec". Boudica was inside, and she watched in calm serenity as the flames came closer and closer. She walked calmly into the fire and allowed herself to die. Her sacrifice would not be in vain.... if the Psycho could be destroyed.
The fires in the west wing were now spreading... tomorrow, more will die. Detective Andy woke up with a headache.
Omanes again admitted that he investigated Lord Winter. Again, the Psycho killed Lord Winter, with a "metallic object". This time, the Psycho found the drugs he wanted, and took them.
Detective Andy now wakes up with a headache. Why would ATPG put his here if it was not significant? What happened this night phase that was different from the others? For one, Lord Winter fought back against the Psycho. The other is that the Psycho found drugs. Either or both of these events could have given the Psycho a headache. But it was Andy who had the headache.
There. White_Eyes, shlin, if you can provide as much convincing evidence as I have for Psychonaut's lynch as I have done for Omanes', then by all means do so. And if you're not going to read the whole thing, at least read the last two. This took me an hour and a half.
