7. There is at least one murderer and one neutral role. This is not a joke game.

8. You may vote: abstain, vote: no lynch, and suicide is allowed. However, if the suicide is a blatant attempt to prove one's innocence or otherwise narrow down the suspect list, it is not allowed.

9. This game is not a vanilla game, but it is fairly straightforward. There is always something special in my games though... so don't leave options off the table.

10. Have fun, be respectful of one another, and throw yourselves into your roles. Even the evil characters may have roles, so do not be afraid to put yourself out there.

Day One

March 7th, 2009.
The Crusty Asylum for the Criminally Interesting.
Daybreak.

The clock radio went off inside Detective Andy's room. From the tiny speakers came Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF2inhZO2Ys), and it seemed fitting. Last night there was a terrible storm, and a transformer blew just outside the Asylum. The backup generator was not functioning. The security locks for all of the rooms had been shut down, and the mental patients had been able to escape. The few orderlies had been massacred by some kind of serial killer. Andy had seen the carnage unfold outside his room, and he barred the door before he went to bed to keep himself from danger. There was no contact with the outside world, because the Asylum was in a remote area of the rural state and both the power and the phone lines were down.

Andy was there voluntarily; his wife had been brutally murdered while he was working late one night, and he never recovered. After several bouts with depression, he finally decided to commit himself. He had been doing better, and was on medication. Until now, he had been able to leave whenever he wanted. Now 15 deranged lunatics stood between him and freedom... and at least one of them was a known serial killer. The fallen nurses and doctors who had been victimized called out to him. He knew that he could attempt to escape unharmed, but Andy had been a detective all his adult life. He saw one of the bloodied and battered female nurses... and it reminded him of his late wife. He vowed to solve this case himself. Perhaps then, no more innocent people would have to die. Andy armed himself with the metal bar which he used to hold his room shut at night, for self defense, and took a notepad and pencil with him to investigate the huge crime scene. There was much work to be done. He had to avenge the deaths of the innocent. He had to find...

Sorry the point when I am present in another universe is longer over weekends. I'll grab this moment of lucidity to answer your technical query regarding the highlights of what promises to be a fantastic dessert menu.

There were no shields used in the baking of the cheesecake and side orders of periwinkles are frowned apon - but often buttered in order to expose the underbelly of other more succulent treats. Ompa Lumpa lasers are also extraneous to the recipe. COmpletely OTT.

I should remind those who speak of a provider that the light shines only on me. I am the only one bathed in the heavenly light and the light is good - even though it does seem to trap ones arms at ones sides rather.

There are 16 players, and with less than 2 hours to go, boudica is ahead by five votes and she is also the first to hit 8 votes, or 50% of the votes, on a runoff election. Even if everyone else were to show up and vote for Lord Winter, the best outcome would be a tie, and boudica got there first. Assuming we don't get 5~ unvotes on boudica and some more votes for Lord Winter, boudica is dead.

From now on, my rule is going to be as such; in a runoff election, the first person to receive half of all possible votes auto-loses the round, because they are the clear choice. I think this is a fair decision, but contact me privately if you do not. Writeup to follow.

Day One

boudica struggled in her straitjacket as she saw the other inmates approaching. There was nothing she could do... in the background, a radio was playing Sanitarium (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WElvEZj0Ltw) by Metallica.

Lord Winter was approaching with his shotgun to deliver the fatal shot. The other patients were armed with various crude objects. Two of the patients seemed to advance together in front of another one, seemingly to protect him. Detective Andy was among them, and he was holding the metal bar. Andy knew from looking over his files that boudica was Mental Patient # 84703. Her case file indicated that she had a history of psychotic episodes and violence, but much of the file had been destroyed during the riot. She seemed to be everyone's top suspect. It might have had something to do with her overly sane behavior... or the fact that she has a history of mafia running in her family, more than the average player. That didn't make her guilty or innocent, it was just an unfortunate statistical anomaly.

She rocked back and forth and accepted the inevitable. "Find a happy place... find a happy place..." she thought to herself. Then she remembered her mission from The Lord... and was disappointed that she had failed in her task. The Lord would not be pleased. Her failure brought a frown to her face... a sad frown. Not willing to just roll over and die, boudica decided now was the time to act. She stood up very quickly and kicked a chair towards Lord Winter, causing him to lose his aim. Then boudica charged forward, ripping off her straitjacket which had been unfastened the entire time she was sitting there, and began flailing her arms at Lord Winter, tackling him to the ground and knocking the shotgun out of his hands. Where did he get a flipping shotgun from anyway? Possibly from one of the dead security guards, but still... he was a deranged maniac and no one was willing to point out how dangerous it was for him to have a firearm.

All boudica knew was that she had nothing left to lose, and she knew there was a demon walking among them. She decided it must have been Lord Winter... or even if he weren't the Demon, he might be working for the demon, or just an unwitting accomplice. It didn't matter, he was an enemy. The other mental patients started turning on one another, in the confusion. Boudica sat on Lord Winter's chest and began strangling him to death. Many of the other patients began clubbing one another in panic, but a few of them were lucid enough to pull boudica off of Lord Winter, and smash her over the head with a weapon.

She did not go down quietly or peacefully, but after several vicious swings, boudica's skull was blown apart by the force. She stopped struggling at that moment, and her service to the Lord was over.

Night One


The Crusty Asylum was active that night... many people were found roaming the halls. The sounds of moaning and banging and screaming made it impossible to rest. Detective Andy finished his investigation and barred the door to his room and tried to rest. The sounds outside his room were haunting. Many others could not rest, and some spent their time banging their heads against the walls of their rooms, and in an abandoned wing of the facility, someone had set a fire. The sprinkler system took care of it, but it was unusual that anyone would even be over there.

It was just before dawn, and Yoyoma1910 was sitting in his room, with a pile of books in front of him, and a black marker. He was furiously scribbling out all the evil words that he could find, especially the EVIL words. He made sure to blot out any quoted lines of dialogue as well.... he muttered to himself and drew pictures occasionally. He knew the supreme form of communication was not the word, but the graven image.

The door to his room had been left open, and he did not look up when someone entered. The intruder was wielding a knife, possibly one from the cafeteria. It was a crude instrument designed for a peaceful purpose, turned into a weapon. The Psycho was merciless, brutally stabbing Yoyoma1910 well past the point of death.

It was a senseless act of deplorable violence. The Psycho started rummaging through the drawers of Yoyoma's room, as if looking for something. His body was shaking violently. Not finding what he wanted, he left the room, and Yoyoma's body behind. Slowly the pool of blood from Yoyoma's remains rolled into the main hallway. He was found the next morning.

to be honest, some aspects have been greatly improved - like the campaign map, they've added things in and stuff to make it a lot more interesting

however, the battle and stuff is crap. the unit selection is tiny (had to solve this by..... *cough*unlocking the special units*whistles*) and the sea battles are not really that good at all, but better than the old ones.
steam makes it crap as well, have to log in the play.
Overall, ive played Total war from shogun (back in the days!) to empire and im quite disappointed in the lack of improvements imo. they could have done Much better. i'd give it maybe an 80 or so.
