@FiI
I agree on diamond and skooma for sure, I haven't suspected romantic but maybe you're right.

Actually, reading over things a bit more, romantic is looking pretty suspicious. He has become very vocal and aggresive towards FiI and is doing exactly what he blames FiI of by not revealing what the sword does. Plus, he recieved that sword right off the bat and we do Know one of the killers is a swordsmen.
Auytolucus, care to back that up with a vote for Romantic?

Midday Update:

The guitarist screamed with such an intensity that even the child began screaming with him. The fishwife burst out of the door.

"Well :daisy: me," she said.

:daisy: her indeed.

http://bluwiki.com/images/e/e9/Wyrm.jpg

"...what's it doing here?" Romanic asked.

Everybody shrugged their shoulders. Weird things were accepted normally here now. The jellyfish hummend noisily along its way. Three others and a bird missing both its leg joined it to become some kind of weird creature that looked like what you would get if you took an ordinary ostrich, chopped off its legs with a Sidar master-crafted sword, tied four jellyfish to its stumps, and then removed the beaks. It flopped sadly about on the ground until a passing fish poisoned it with its fin.

Did I mention the flying fish? No? Well, the fact of the matter is that it's there. Deal with it.

Romanic I said I was directly responsible for Beefy's death, not that I was aiming for him.

And yes, I specifically aimed for Beskar and Wideeyed because they were voting for me. Since you appear to want me explain it point by point, I'll do so for you. I knew that Choxorn was a better lynch than I was for all innocents involved, because I highly expected him to be a werewolf. I also knew, that the surviving Wavers would not turn down an attempt to get me killed since I am their MAIN opposition. Not only can I find them, but I am immune to their kills, and have the mayor's diary which they are likely after. I knew very well that that they would probably be among the ones voting for me yesterday, or at the very least they would be among those not voting for Choxorn. So I picked the two players voting for me that I suspected most and went for it. So really the chances were quite high that I would hit a Waver.

Now I will go case by case to refute that I could possibly be mafia.

Basically, it is impossible that I am a Waver, so no one should try to even argue that. I have demonstrated that both of my anti-waver abilities (scanning and kill immunity) are real. Also, I have killed one.

Now imagine this. If I were a werewolf or a pyschopath wouldn't I be just a wee bit overpowered ~;p? I would have the ability to night kill, scan for religious people, and be immune to kills by the religious. Surely you can see that would be a completely ridiculous character.

I've noticed Romanic that you voted for me yesterday, just as I said all Wavers would have a 95% chance of doing. And now you are trying to still make the case that I am mafia after all I've done? Romanic you are a either a seriously misguided innocent, or are the final Waver. You are very skilled from what I have seen so I find it hard to believe that you are as misguided as you make it seem.

Romanic should reveal all, or he should be lynched!

(Please note I was not behind the explosions during the nights. If you included them, then I would have been behind 4 explosions when there are only 3 spheres.)

Not only does Frozen in Ice's case/evidence/argument deserve marks for clarity and thoughtfulness, it deserves some kind of prize if it is based on lies. You can quote me on that.

My support of Romanic was based on blocking him, and on that night, apparently there were no Wave cultist thingy murders. I seem to have not differentiated between the various kinds of murders happening.

The swordsman killed on Night 5 when I was roleblocked by ATPG, so I can't be him. And yes, I am very vocal to get people to follow my lynches when I believe in it. I have been vocal to lynch Secura before hitting on Frozen in Ice. Does being aggresive with accusations sounds like a townie or a mafia to you?

edit: Btw, my name is Romanic, lose the "t" please :smug2:

Romanic, how about you tell us what it does now? As to why I survived, my being attacked PM said something about the sounds of people coming not an explosion. I think the explosion was the use of one of the spheres by Frozen in Ice, because he only flung two the day he almost got killed. I think Romanic needs to go now.

I am not revealing what the sword does, it would be detrimental to the Town. I will rather die with this information and the next bearer will understand why I chose not to reveal its powers. It's called the Mayor's Sword for a reason, and the Mayor was the first person killed by the cultists, so I think it should be obvious that this is a pro-town weapon.

If I am lynched, you better not give this sword to Frozen in Ice.

The Mayor Sword is the lynch mechanism. The owner cannot be lynched, and he gets to kill someone amongst those who voted for him. I lose the sword after using it. Such a waste of a good item

I can't kill Frozen in Ice, because he's injured and not voting for me, so who do I kill?

I’ve begun my voyage in a paper boat without a bottom; I will fly to the moon in it. I
have been folded along a crease in time, a weakness in the sheet of life. Now,
you’ve settled on the opposite side of the paper to me; I can see your traces in the
ink that soaks through the fibre, the pulped vegetation. When we become
waterlogged, and the cage disintergrates, we will intermingle. When this paper
aeroplane leaves the cliff edge, and carves parallel vapour trails in the dark, we will
come together.

Update Evening 7

The rain began to fall hard again and dragons and jellyfishes paced the land outside. The villagers sighed. They would have to stay inside the inn from now on...

Well, except for one of them that is.

"Romanic, Nightbringer, your times' up," innkeeper quietly said. "It's time for one of you to go."

"Oh really?" Romanic replied. "Because, I think I may be able to stay around just a bit looooonger." Romanic drew the dark blade of the Mayor's Sword.

"You think you can take on all of us?" ATPG snapped back. "Come on, we'll..."

"First of all, I am innocent," snapped Romanic. "Second of all, why go for me at all when there's a much...easier...target?" he pointed his sword at Nightbringer.

Nightbringer laughed. "You know things don't go like tha-"

"Actually," Skooma said staring intently at the Mayor's blade. "He's right."

TheFlax nodded. "I agree," they both grabbed on to Nightbringer's arms. Nightbringer paled.

"Waitwaitwait...what's going on?! You guys can't just....just...change your mind like that! Let me go! Help! HELP!"

"So sorry, Nightbringer," TheFlax grinned at him. "Can't have you wave cultists running around," Skooma finished. They began to drag him towards the door.

"What are you doing!" Nightbringer yelled to the other villagers. "Help me!"

The other villagers stood frozen in spot, unable to do anything.

TheFlax opened the door to the outside. "Look, Nightbringer, water! I heard your gods like water, so here it is!"

"And say hello to monsieur Jellyfish for me," said Skooma as she threw Nightbringer out into the muddy water outside. "Hey, you want to bet whether or not the dragon will geet to him before the jellyfishes do?"

"Sure," TheFlax answered, barring the door to the inn shut with a chair. "Here, let me take out my purse..."

"Let me in!" Nightbringer yelled from the outside. The dragon was drawing near...

"Aww, that's not fair now." Skooma said. "Now we know that the dragon will get him."

"Please!" Nightbringer begged. "I don't want to die...help me! You can kill the dragon with your pillar of fire or something...just don't leave me out to die!"

"Oh I'm sorry," TheFlax answered. "You obviously haven't noticed the fact that we did leave you outside to die."

"I HATE YOU!" Nightbringer yelled. "I HOPE THE GODS CURSE YOU ALL TO HELL! LET DRAGONS FEAST UPON YOUR BONES! I HOPE YOU ALL GO MA-" Nightbringer screamed as the dragon descended uponn him. With a single chomp, the upper half of the Guitarist's body was gone. Only thing left was a pair of legs.

"So, we got another one!" Romanic said cheerfully. "Excellent work people."

"Wait, we aren't sure what he was though... dragon ate him too quickly," Galynea said.

"Oh fine," Romanic muttered. "So we aren't SUUUURE, but we are 'sure' enough, no? Maybe?"

Others murmured.

Dragon ate Nightbringer too quickly to determine allegience!

"Well, off to bed." Romanic whistled. Galynea shrugged and picked up the Cane Sword. Diamondeye picked up the knife.

The hottest love has the coldest end.

Update Morning 8

Galynea the Miller shuddered when she saw the figure next to a tree. She forgot her spare clothes back at the mill so she was planning to run back to it to grab it, but she knew now that that plan was probably foiled.

"Hello," the figure said, smiling at her. Galynea noticed that the figure was hovering at least a foot off the ground. "Nice night, out isn't it?"

"Y-yeah," the miller replied weakly. "Sorry, gotta go no-"

The miller gasped as she noticed that she was being lifted by an unseen force. The figure hummed to himself and raised a hand into the sky. A jellyfish approached and placed a tip of its tentacle onto the figure's hand. "You think these are mean creatures, don't you?" the figure said. "They are actually quite nice once you get to know them a bit."

The jellyfish rumbled a bit. The bird flopped sadly around. The figure looked at it and snapped its neck by an unseen force. "Poor thing," he said. Galynea took a large gulp.

"You people killed quite a few of my friends, you know," said the figure. "I am not too happy about that."

"Please..." Galynea said. "Just let me go."

The figure grinned. "No, I think I'll have some more fu-" an arrow whizzed by the figure's head.

"Stay the :daisy: away from her, you monstrous :daisy:!" yelled Nictel as he unleashed another arrow. The figure stopped the arrow midflight and released Galynea onto the ground.

Galynea unsheathed her cane sword. "Nictel!" she yelled. "What are you doing out here!"

"I had a bad feeling," Nictel said sheepishly. "Run, Galynea, I'll take care of him."

Galynea shook her head. "You'll die. But we can live through this if we fight together!"

Nictel considered this for a moment. "Right, together."

The figure started laughing. "What do the peasants think now? Do they actually believe that they can somehow defeat me? Very well then, show me the strength of your love!"

The figure sent out a wave of psychokinetic energy at the couple, who dodged it by rolling to the side. The jellyfish approached the couple from above and began splitting the night sky with bolts of lightning.

"Galynea, distract the jellyfish!" Nictel shouted. "I will kill it with my longbow when its back is turned!"

"Stupid of you to tell me your plan!" the figure snapped. "Kill the boy, now!"

Galynea leaped towards the jellyfish and struck it down with her sword.

"What?!" the figure screamed.

"You didn't expect that coming, did you?" Galynea said.

"You really thought that we were THAT stupid?" Nictel chuckled.

"You...you'll pay for this," the figure muttered. "Come, Shoulder Towers!"

With that, 2 giant towers erupted from the ground. Each tower had 468 turrets inside which was a ballista manned by a soldier of the gods. It was all aimed at the couple.

"Hey hey hey," Nictel yelled. "Don't you think you're going too overbo-"

"Shut up!" the figure yelled. "Fire, fire, FIRE!"

The towers unleashed tjeor divine bolts of punishment upon the couple. Even if a target was small as a butterfly, there was no way that it could have avoided being turned into a goop.

Nictel emerged from behind the jellyfish, which had turned into a rather ugly porcupine. "Galynea, how the hell did you know that hiding behind the jellyfish would work?"

"I didn't," Galynea replied.

"Oh," Nictel said. "Well well, looks like our little enemy's becoming tired, eh?"

It was true. The figure was visibly panting now. "How....how...?" he said.

"Don't you see?" Galynea said. "Your little tricks failed to break our bond. Now, it will act as a noose around your neck..."

The figure groaned. "It's...it's not over yet!" he said. "Come, elementals of water, destroy my foe!"

The rain drops that has been falling began to condense into a shape, forming into a divine agents of the gods that pulverized any enemies into dust. "Kill them all!"

"Okay, Galynea," Nictel said. "Let's do this!"

Galynea and Nictel bravely charged the water elementals surrounding the figure. The water elementals, being slightly quicker than the couple, easily surrounded them.

The figure laughed maniacally. "Oh, you people. Only to fail at the END! HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!"

Galynea smiled and suddenly latched herself onto a water elemental directly in front. "Nictel! Go! Kill the bastard!" The water elemental began to shake itself in desperation. "Go! I can't hold it still for much longer!"

"Grrrr....." Nictel growled as he dashed behind the water elemental and aimed an arrow directly at the figure's neck. "It ends now!"

The figure let out a scream as the arrow left the bow and pierced his neck. All the water elementals immediately dissipated.

"You okay?" Nictel asked Galynea. "Yeah," Galynea smiled at Nictel. "Now to look at your true identity..."

The figure suddenly stood back up. "Why don't we ask Nictel's true identity?"

"Huh?" Galynea gasped. The figure wasn't even wounded any more.

"Yes, Galynea," Nictel smiled at the miller. "What is my true identity?"

"Wha-what are you talking about?" the miller asked. "You are Nictel?"

"Am I really?" Nictel replied.

"Oh yes, come, try to remember," the figure said. "How did Nictel die?"

The world shattered around Galynea, and reality, or reality as seen inside the bare remnant of the Dreamhold, was revealed to her. Nictel lay on the ground, impaled by 936 ballista bolts. His last action while alive was shielding Galynea from harm.

"No..." Galynea said. "Nooooooo....."

The figure lay an arm around the miller. "Come on," he said smiling. "Admit it, wasn't it fun?!"

"No.....NOOOO.....NOOOOO!!!! I'll kill you!!" the miller cried out as she lashed out at the figure with her cane sword. The figure shrugged and caught the tip of the blade with his finger. "You don't think you can actually harm me, do you?"

Miller dropped to her knees. "I won't kill you though," the figure said. "Not yet. Maybe another day, I'm bored with you people."

The miller was outside, despite the dangers of the dragons, although they seemd to have mysteriously disappeared by then. She was staring blank eyed at the remains of Nictel, disfigured beyond all recognition.

Nictel was Innocent!

To be brought up for vote was the Longbow that Nictel had left behind. Of course, like any day, today was to have some share of oddities. This time the oddity in question took the form of a man walking into a tavern and ordering a drink.

Now, while that would not have usually drawn suspiscion, this man happened to be the Mayor

"Howdy," he said. "Strongest one you have, please. I haven't drunk anything in days!"

"Leaders coming back from the dead... Werewolves... I've heard this story before. The tale of the cursed ship known as the nightingale and its dread captain Pinman."

"So, mayor, tell us why we shouldn't make you dead again. And who was it that killed you?"

TheFlax
09-14-2010, 14:44
I roleblocked TheFlax last night. If there was a missing kill, then it was likely TheFlax who is guilty.

TheFlax, if you are innocent you should be able to confirm that you were knocked out all night long. Deny this, and I'll know for certain you're guilty.

And yes, I lied about my ability being one-shot.

I did not receive any message about being incapacitated. Perhaps because I was sleeping all night (I have no night ability) or perhaps because you are lying.

First, let me show you some of my cards: I lied about the Mayor Sword powers! As I said, revealing its power is detrimental to the Town. :laugh4:

My role ability is to kill someone if I am lynched, it was never an ability from the sword. And I can kill anyone I wish, not only those who are voting for me. My lie about the sword was an attempt to gain information about who I should lynch, although I must say that I was firmly set on Frozen in Ice. However it turned out that enough players moved away their vote and I was saved. :sweatdrop: :balloon2::balloon2:

Because Nictel claimed mason and died protecting Galynea, I chose to reveal the true powers of the Sword to the miller, privately. She can do what she wants with this information, although I think she will understand why keeping it secret is important.

I have also included my reasons why I voted Frozen in Ice on the last 2 days, but I do not believe he should be lynched today, because it is clear that he is not the Waver Cultist. He was injured last night, so he could not have been out there doing the killing. Autolycus was also injured so he can't be the cultist either. They could be one of the other killers (swordman, werewolf) but they're definitely not the cultist.

Last night Nightbringer was killed without revealing his faction. That's odd, it looks like a janitor ability. Either Nightbringer was part of a 2 player team and they used an ability to cover his identity, or someone is messing with our heads and Nightbringer was a townie.

And now there's this dispute between ATPG and Flaxy that I don't understand at all  I'll explain more in my next post.

Romanic
09-14-2010, 16:37
What's odd with the ATPG vs TheFlax conflict is that it does not make sense.

From ATPG point of view, why would he lie about roleblocking TheFlax? It's clear that he would be under pressure if Flax denies being roleblocked. One of them is bound to be lynched and ATPG knows that. Also, I know that someone roleblocked me on Night 5: I had a headache and although alcohol was not mentioned in my writeup, it makes sense that the Innkeeper could roleblock someone, giving him headache from drinking too much alcohol. I'm tempted to believe ATPG is a roleblocker.

From TheFlax's point of view, why would he lie about being roleblocked? It's a good thing for him to reveal this information because it would tell us that he cannot have been the one killing Nictel, thus he would be clear from today's lynch. It does not mean he can't be another killer (werewolf, swordman or even a vampire) but at least he would have been safe today.

One of them is lying, but what's going on is beyond me.

Myself, I thought ATPG was trying to trap me by encouraging me to lie, saying I had indeed been incapacitated during the night while it wasn't true. (Because I would have more than a little incentive to play along)

It has always been my opinion that the best defense of the innocent is the truth, no matter how damning it might look. As such, I reported what I know to be true and I stand by that statement.

Wrong answer. I have proved to Romanic at least that I was too busy roleblocking to be murdering on the night of a murder. If Flax had a night action he also would have been able to verify my whereabouts.

I am unhappy but slightly leaning toward Flax being innocent, even though something about him has set off my scumdar for a while. Reason is, the game host did not send me a "success" message for blocking TheFlax. So, it's possible he wouldn't do that if there was nothing to block. I don't know.

One last thing before I have to go to work:

I have a personal goal to keep my wife and child alive. It seems I've succeeded. But, one of them is probably guilty, as is usually the case with such goals.

I highly doubt I personally had anything to do with it, since I didn't even start roleblocking people until late in the game, due to my RL getting hectic. I also don't trust the odds that several mafia families would intentionally leave people alive that I am obviously not voting for.

One of Diamondeye or Skooma Addict is guilty. But due to my personal goal, and my inability to determine which one is guilty, I'm not touching it. I also have less than 15 minutes to get going.

Romanic is still failing to convince me that he isn't a night killer. I think ATPG and TheFlax are both likely innocent however. Skooma seems suspicious as well, but that seems to mostly be because they're quiet and we know little about them.

I think Civplayah is most likely innocent. He was injured before when they were werewolf kills, so he can't be one of the werewolves, and with no kills last night while he was perfectly healthy makes me think that he couldn't be the third werewolf either. I scanned him as non-religious so he can't be a waver/cultist. The only possibility he could be a werewolf is if he forgot to send in orders. I doubt he is the swordsman, but do we even consider the swordsman mafia?

Civplayah, I think it may be time to gives some details about your role in order to bolster your defense.

Why can't civplayah be a werewolf? If there's 2 werewolves left, it's possible that another werewolf was killing while civplayah was injured.

Midday Update 9

Chaos, confusion. Accusations went back and forth as the town tried desperately to find the one responsible for the death of Nictel.

Mayor, remaining nearly neutral in the conflict, merely smirked to himself and drunk out of a small flask as if he was watching a rather enjoyable game of chess.

Somewhere outside the island, two figures watched their little gameboard intently, as what happened this day may change the fate of the islanders.

Civplayah could be 2nd werewolf, but then the question is why didn't he attack anyone last night if he was in good health? This is why I am pushing for Civplayah to reveal more about himself if he wants to prove he is innocent.

However, I just translated another part of Mayor's journal:

"Now the total number of people in this village, including the avatar, totals at 29. One of the villagers that had returned from a trip from outside this island, the carpenter, turned out to be a werewolf. I am certain that he had infected another person but I am not sure who it is. He seems to be laying low for the moment...but why? Why would he do such an action?

Speaking of which, why do these...strange people keep on arriving? There was a Calabim vampire... a clerk of Camulos...and even a Priest of Lugus!

The answer, probably, is because the Avatar has summoned them. When I interrogated them on the reason for visiting, they simply said they were "drawn here" by something and went off to fabricate some excuse. Avatar must have called them out to here... Somehow he plans to use them to free himself... He may not even be doing it conciously! He must have been doing it at subconcious level... Fascinating."

To me it almost sounds like this part of the journal was written in the present, which is just confusing me. It's almost like the reincarnated mayor added another entry without even touching his diary! But to me, this diary is pointing to the observation that there appear to only be two wolves, and that one of them is still alive, but "laying low". So perhaps the last werewolf could have killed someone last night, but decided not to? That would certainly put Civplayah higher up on the suspect lists.

Also, is the Avatar still among us, possibily without even knowing it?

I don't want either one dead, unless one of them is not my wife/child, but rather a werewolf. However, I feel it is no coincidence that a three-man voting bloc like my family should be left alive all game, especially after I roleclaimed and have given items to these people. Evening Update 9

Somewhere, the whatever gods there were that controlled human fate rolled a dice...

and got a 6.

At Inavi, a small island inside Lanun territory, Romanic glanced outside the window. He had a bad feeling about this day...

The Watchman was holding a spear straight at his throat. "Stay back, Romanic. You know that the other villagers are insane."

Romanic sadly shook his head. "I think not. Just like the countless before you, you have not managed to satisfy the crowd. Thus, you must die..."

"I knew it!" civplayah howled. "You are one of them! DIE!"

civplayah lunged forward, nearly catching Romanic by the sides. Romanic dodged to the side and struck a nasty blow on civplayah'a back. Civplayah fell onto his stomach, fraction of his life left.

"You..." civplayah moaned. "You won't get away with this!"

"Oh I think I will," Romanic said.

"No, you won't." TheFlax replied. "Not today,"

Romanic whirled around just in time to see TheFlax finish uttering a word of power. Romanic felt himself being lifted and thrown out through the already broken windows of the inn.

"Hey, Flax!" Romanic said, dusting himself off. "What do you think you ar-"

"Something that should have been done a long time ago," TheFlax finished.

Romanic didn't even have time enough to reply before a giant pillar of flame struck down from the heavens. Romanic, however, did not disappeaer like the late adept under the tremendous heat of the pillar. Instead, the sword began to glow, creating a barrier of unseen force around Romanic. He began to laugh maniacally.

"It was YOU!" Galynea screamed as she drew her cane sword and rushed the laughing figure of Romanic,

"No!" TheFlax yelled after her. "It's too dangerou-" TheFlax saw the miller's body picked up by an unseen force. He felt himself being lifted along with her....

a sphere flew from the scholar's hands and hit Romanic, it's explosion knocking Galynea and TheFlax away and negating the shield that the sword formed around Romanic. The flames from the sky claimed his body a split second after.

ROMANIC WAS A CULTIST!

People rejoiced around the glassed over area where the late blacksmith drew his final breath. The nightmare was finally...finally over... The mayor walked into the center of the mess and picked up the Mayor's Sword which was still in one piece despite the fact that it had received a full force of the divine flames of Junil. He seemed to study its hilt carefully...

Inside the inn, civplayah groaned as he stood back up, leaning on his spear.

"You okay?" Somebody asked. "...it seems that wound just glanced you. You'll live."

"Well, that's good to know," civplayah groaned. "Oh I need a gau-"

civplay stared in shock as the mayor flung the sword into the inn, impaling him through the mouth. "What was that for?!" the priest cried out.

"Obeying the rules of the game," the mayor replied flatly. "Go home people. I expect this night to be noisy...

Morning Update 10

TheFlax coughed, he had not recovered from the wounds he received from Frozen in Ice's bomb. Strange light glowed outside the window...

"I knew you would come for me evantually," the priest mumbled.

A sudden bright light...

Somewhere on the island, the mayor laughed as he stared intently on the chess board laid out in front of him.

The priest was found dead inside his own room inside the inn, killed by a single stake driven through the right eye. All the doors and the windows to his room was locked, which made how exactly the Priest was killed a quite a mystery.

Priest was Innocent!

Meanwhile, the mayor was gone again. If he was somehow murdered (again) in the night or was somehow hiding, nobody was sure. His sword was found inside his room in the Mayor's house as if it was never picked up in the first place. Interestingly...all the bloodstains were gone.

The priest left behind a Staff that originally belonged to the Traveler. It and the sword will be put to vote once more.

Or you may choose someone else, a trusted innocent, probably Galynea, to give the book to. I must have independent verification as to what it does and if it is indeed as unreadable as you say.

I would also like to claim publicly that I've been gathering strength boosting weapons, in an attempt to deflect a possible attack against me, and reduce the potential strength of any villains here. Woah, good morning guys. First things first... Autolycus can have the stave. Galynea can take the sword.

I'm kind of worried about this turn of events... After Romanic dies, a new kind of killer emerges, ATPG is hoarding weapons, bandwagoning me well knowing that it is I who carry the Necronomicon to keep it out of filthy cultist hands...

I guess we have one more chance to correct this mistake, but I suspect no less than a reveal of everything will work.

First of all; I'm innocent, I'm a weakling, ATPG has the weapon that I was voted (knife), and my personal goal is to keep ATPG and Skooma alive.
Second; The poppet I was voted grants prophetic powers - every other night I can ask it one questions, and it answers it truthfully. The first (or second?) night I had it, I asked it if Jolt had any murders on his consciousness. The answer was no, which was why Jolt's vampirism surprised me. Frozen In Ice and Autolycus already know this. A couple of nights ago, I asked if ATPG had killed anyone, and it answered no. So he was apparently clear, but now a new sort of killer emerges, and it strikes me as likely that Romanic was doing all the Cultist killings until his death. I can ask the poppet about something again tonight, if I live through the day.

I've helped Autolycus pin-point his targets through all the game (he is the swordsman-vigilante, in case someone didn't know), and he's killed a cultist (JHT?). He can confirm this. Just last day phase, I asked Frozen In Ice to kill Romanic.

My remaining suspects are Skooma (but he's inactive), and, unfortunately, AskThePizzaGuy. Too bad that my personal goal has to go now, but I'm pretty sure ATPG is our new killer and the last cultist.

"Filthy cultist hands"?

That doesn't sound like an appeal to popular sentiment at all. Why would you be going from the logical argument to the emotion-based one right off the bat? Don't you realize that all scum do that?

I guess we have one more chance to correct this mistake, but I suspect no less than a reveal of everything will work.

First of all; I'm innocent, I'm a weakling, ATPG has the weapon that I was voted (knife), and my personal goal is to keep ATPG and Skooma alive.

So far so good. The "weakling" part feels like a plea for leniency due to pity, though.

Had there been any vampire-based murders? :inquisitive:

Frozen In Ice and Autolycus already know this. A couple of nights ago, I asked if ATPG had killed anyone, and it answered no.

The fact that you so readily revealed this stuff to Frozen, Auto, and myself, tells me you weren't all that concerned with a breach of security. Which of course, innocent people would be, and scum could only pretend to be. You didn't even pretend.

+1 scumpoint.

So he was apparently clear, but now a new sort of killer emerges, and it strikes me as likely that Romanic was doing all the Cultist killings until his death. I can ask the poppet about something again tonight, if I live through the day.

Why can't someone else use the puppet? Only a child has the amazing ability to use it?

You don't trust me, so, give it to the most "innocent" person here. Put it to a vote on who that person is.

I've helped Autolycus pin-point his targets through all the game (he is the swordsman-vigilante, in case someone didn't know), and he's killed a cultist (JHT?). He can confirm this. Just last day phase, I asked Frozen In Ice to kill Romanic.

In a game with multiple evil parties, you surely aren't using the amount of scums you nailed as evidence of your innocence, are you?

My remaining suspects are Skooma (but he's inactive), and, unfortunately, AskThePizzaGuy. Too bad that my personal goal has to go now, but I'm pretty sure ATPG is our new killer and the last cultist.

And you'd be wrong. Wrong in the early game, that's forgivable. Wrong now, about me, means scum. The scums always point the finger at me personally, because it works. See Trouble in Waiting.

Autolycus, you should take care of Skooma Addict meanwhile, just to be sure. He's doing little good as townsperson anyway.

How about we lynch you, and I get "kidnapped" again?

"Filthy cultist hands"?
That doesn't sound like an appeal to popular sentiment at all. Why would you be going from the logical argument to the emotion-based one right off the bat? Don't you realize that all scum do that?
+2 scumpoints.

I haven't revealed that I held the Necronomicon to anyone else, so there is a lot of logic to the argument that you should be pushing for my lynch to release it.

You who scanned me with the prophet item, and others, and told me nothing I didn't already know, have nothing to reveal.

I'm pretty sure you knew all this, but Skooma and Galynea certainly didn't know - not from my lips, at least. So yes, I'm revealing that information to the public, because we need their votes to win.

So far so good. The "weakling" part feels like a plea for leniency due to pity, though.

Would you rather I said "1 strength"? I'm sorry if my choice of words offends you.
Come to think of it, Autolycus can block people without killing them if their strength is lower than his. He could verify that my strength is low if I live through the day.

Had there been any vampire-based murders? :inquisitive:

... Did we know the origin of all the killings back then? I believe it was the night before DiY died, so I'm guessing "no". ((You'll see I voted Jolt the knife first time around due to this scan))

The fact that you so readily revealed this stuff to Frozen, Auto, and myself, tells me you weren't all that concerned with a breach of security. Which of course, innocent people would be, and scum could only pretend to be. You didn't even pretend.

Autolycus had completely role-revealed to me by the time I was voted the poppet, so I thought the least I could do was let him in on what it did and ask for suggestions. I've lived through it, so I think the gamble was worth it.
I told Frozen because he had (in my eyes) clearly proven himself an ally of the town by destroying a werewolf. He only just now killed off Romanic, on my suggestion, so he's not a cultist either. You know that.
I revealed to you because I had scanned you as not being a murderer, but I'm afraid that I should have phrased the question otherwise since you could very well be a member of the scum team without having commited any murders in person.

Why can't someone else use the puppet? Only a child has the amazing ability to use it?

I'm not sure, but I think so, yes. The description of the ability is painfully vague (as I've said earlier, I don't even know if I am allowed to ask more advanced questions than yes/no-ones).

In a game with multiple evil parties, you surely aren't using the amount of scums you nailed as evidence of your innocence, are you?

Why not? It works for you in Parasite? :beam:

And you'd be wrong. Wrong in the early game, that's forgivable. Wrong now, about me, means scum. No, that's not it. We've purposefully kept off each other until now because of our personal goals. We both found it suspicious that the three of us have lived this long, and I even suspected you so much as to scan you (albeit, as I said, I should've used a better phrasing of the question). The fact that you've lived so long, as a known roleblocker, a reputed veteran player and so on just serves to convince me even more that you might not be innocent after all.

How about we lynch you, and I get "kidnapped" again?

Kidnapped? What're you getting at?
But no, I'm quite sure that lynching you would be a better idea. Perhaps, if you really are a townsperson, you should distribute those strength items you've hoarded among the people you think innocent so we don't lose as much strength, should I be wrong in this.

I haven't revealed that I held the Necronomicon to anyone else, so there is a lot of logic to the argument that you should be pushing for my lynch to release it.

That's not what I am talking about. Why would you hold the item, an important item that you can't even use/read, and not tell anyone about it? You only told me just recently.

It smells like you were trying to keep hidden an important and evil device. Don't tell me that a child holding the Necronomicon all game without knowing how to read it or mentioning that he has it makes any sense at all.

I'm pretty sure you knew all this, but Skooma and Galynea certainly didn't know - not from my lips, at least. So yes, I'm revealing that information to the public, because we need their votes to win.

I'm referring to your scan information. All you told me about was me, and dead people. Nothing a scum wouldn't know.

You have nothing new to reveal. It's as if your prophet powers are all made up.

Would you rather I said "1 strength"? I'm sorry if my choice of words offends you.

I also have 1 strength. I'm not offended!

I'm just pointing out that appeals to pity are signs of scumtitude.

Come to think of it, Autolycus can block people without killing them if their strength is lower than his. He could verify that my strength is low if I live through the day.

If you live through the day, I'll be blocking you personally tonight.

... Did we know the origin of all the killings back then? I believe it was the night before DiY died, so I'm guessing "no". ((You'll see I voted Jolt the knife first time around due to this scan))

Did any of the kills appear to be vampiric? Some are obviously werewolfian. Others are not.

Vampires don't really kill, they convert to undead through draining blood, which may be the case in this game. Could explain the lack of "kill" in your scan.

I believe your prophet item could function, it's not the item which is guilty. I note that you have learned nothing from the item that I couldn't already tell you, and you argue that only you can use it, and you use the item as an argument for your continued existence, and all of that smells of sweaty guilt.

Autolycus had completely role-revealed to me by the time I was voted the poppet, so I thought the least I could do was let him in on what it did and ask for suggestions. I've lived through it, so I think the gamble was worth it.

So, you were voted a prophet item and lived through the entire game so far, told people you had a prophet item, I even told people you had a prophet item, and everyone who trusted you is also still alive.

:laugh4:

We either have the worst scum in the universe running about, or you're the scum in question.

I told Frozen because he had (in my eyes) clearly proven himself an ally of the town by destroying a werewolf.

An ally of the town? By that measure the cultists are also allies of the town, because they'll want opposing evils dead too. But that's off-point so I'll leave it.

I just want to reiterate that's still bad reasoning.

He only just now killed off Romanic, on my suggestion, so he's not a cultist either. You know that.

Bah and humbug, that's worse reasoning. Bussing is quite common, especially with our veteran players.

However I'll leave that point because it's off-point.

I revealed to you because I had scanned you as not being a murderer, but I'm afraid that I should have phrased the question otherwise since you could very well be a member of the scum team without having commited any murders in person.

All I can really do is stand in awe of the breathtaking loophole in your reasoning.

Why didn't you just ask "Is ________ aligned innocent?"

Because being a killer....... could still be innocent, firstly. Same reason why you trust the swordsman. But, you intentionally asked about killers. Why killers?

Didn't you see the incredible loophole? That guilty new converts could be called not a killer because they haven't killed yet? Why were you only concerned with "killers" and not "guilty" parties? Or at the very least, "not innocent"?

I'm not sure, but I think so, yes. The description of the ability is painfully vague (as I've said earlier, I don't even know if I am allowed to ask more advanced questions than yes/no-ones).

convenient.

Ordinarily I wouldn't hold that against you but come on now. Your credibility is wearing very thin with me.

Why not? It works for you in Parasite? :beam:

Yeah, and you should then know why that reasoning is total bull-"frog".

I just happen to be attacking evil people out of spite and with a sense of completing the task, and keeping my honorable commitment to one (honorable) side over another less honorable one. But you of all people should know that reasoning is fallacious, just as it was fallacious when I used it in another game and you didn't buy it then either.

That's quite a reversal to say certain reasoning is suspect in one game, then use it in another, during a critical "defend yourself" moment.

You stole my reasoning for suspecting you and Skooma.

+1 scumpoint.

Like you thought of this first?

Kidnapped? What're you getting at?

Never you mind. I'm not speaking about that aloud.

But no, I'm quite sure that lynching you would be a better idea. Perhaps, if you really are a townsperson, you should distribute those strength items you've hoarded among the people you think innocent so we don't lose as much strength, should I be wrong in this.

You've "hoarded" a prophet item that is completely useless to us in making this decision, and are using it as a crutch for your own "innocence", pleading to keep you alive merely because you hold the item itself.

You've "hoarded" a Necronomicon the whole game and done jack squat with it that we know about. Young children with books like that remind me of horror films.

I've "hoarded" a whole TWO items that boost strength, and you know how much that one other item boosts strength, so yeah it's a huge deal that I just got that knife last night from you. That's ridiculous that you'd use this line of reasoning, because I now have an entire strength rating of 3, with two booster items.

"hoarded".... :laugh4: that's laughable, seriously. You're the one that had strength boosting items, a prophet item, and a necronomicon. All I have is the darn knife and the axe, both of which are virtually useless. Which I can prove to anyone who is interested. I'll send you the items, look at them, they're aren't worth squat. Might as well be made out of tinfoil.

"hoarded". I just wanted to repeat it one last time, because that's the word that has ruined your credibility in my eyes completely. You aren't even in the realm of reality anymore, and since you're a very intelligent, level-headed, extremely logical, reasonable guy, the fact that you've gone so far off the deep end in your exaggerations and tactics, tells me you're not yourself.

So it is likely there are still two killers among us, the werewolf and whatever caused this glowing light. I don't like how ATPG is trying to get all the weapons; that's especially unnerving because if he is the killer, then he may be close to having this all wrapped up. Autolycus did you give ATPG a visit last night, and do your visits take the whole night so that they can't perform any other actions? If yes, then I guess ATPG is in the clear for this kill.

It is strange though that Diamondeye have the Necronomicon and claim that he is unable to read it. How on earth would a child obtain a book like that. Diamondeye, is the book the only thing you started out with? Did you have any other ability at the start of this?

I scanned the mayor last night and he came up as unreligious. Also, I just read the final entry in the diary. All it did was mention that those believed they were related to the mayor actually weren't; the dreamhold made them think they were. Other than that it cuts off midsentence when he's about to explain how to wake people up from the dreamhold.

@Diamondeye-

I also want to point out, not to pile on my already ginormous wall-o-text, that you suggested the Necronomicon is a cultist item. They'll want it, right?

I will freely give up all two of my awesome "weapons" this round to anyone voted in the majority to be innocent, thus reducing my strength by exactly two.

I will also remind you that I got the one additional str item by asking Diamondeye for it because I was dead certain I'd be attacked last night, and wanted to injure my attacker. I was wrong. I'm willing to give up the items.

From my perspective, there's no reason why I should not have been attacked by one of the evil parties, and after revealing I can roleblock every night, not just once, I should have been the main target. That is why I asked for one additional strength point in a pathetic attempt to boost it to a fearsome level of three. I'll also point out that I asked for it at the last minute and offered to give it back up the next day.

Up until then, I had 1 strength item which boosted me by 1 strength and I have 1 strength total without it.

The primary reason I used the word "hoarded" was because you told in thread that you had been gathering strength items. I naturally assumed this meant more than just the one I gave you. But if only have two, fine.

I didn't steal anybody's reasoning, don't be ridiculous. Remember when you brought it up yesterday? We were basically typing it out at the same time. I had had the same thoughts, which was also why I scanned you.

I got the prophet item from a vote, and I put it to use. I'm sorry if you don't like the fact that one of my scan targets died, but that happens to prophets now and then. I can try and hand over the doll to someone else, but it may work different (or not at all) for people who aren't children.

And I haven't had the Necronomicon all game - I found it in the locked box you gave me the key for. I promised to share what was in it with you and I did the next time I was online. It's not like I broke my promise to you about it, I just didn't want to yell up "O hi guys I have one of the items that the cultists need why don't you just kill me" to everyone since there were still cultists at large.

Autolycus, if you did indeed kidnap/block ATPG last night, please step in and say so because if he really is innocent, the last scum is laughing his rear end off at the moment.

I have no innate ability, and the book started locked up inside a box. It should've stayed that way, but who'd have known. I was hoping the box contained something I could use since my character was pretty bland off the bat. Luckily I was voted the poppet. My PM did not tell me where I had the box from... Am I allowed to post the PM in the thread? My guess is no..?

The primary reason I used the word "hoarded" was because you told in thread that you had been gathering strength items. I naturally assumed this meant more than just the one I gave you. But if only have two, fine.

I had been voted the bow as well, first in fact. I examined it to make sure it wasn't "glowing" or evil or whatever, and freely gave it up, so I could look at the axe.

The axe is also not glowing or evil or obviously anything besides a normal weapon with 1 str bonus. Same as the bow.

The knife is also the same way. I've been systematically examining all the weapons I've come across to see if anyone might want them for devious purposes beyond strength alone. And believe you me, I am not worried about losing the incredible power of 1 whole strength point at this stage of the game, or even 2, because all by themselves, they are totally worthless. They must be combined with an actually strong person, or other weapons, to even have a CHANCE at blocking a murder.

I didn't steal anybody's reasoning, don't be ridiculous. Remember when you brought it up yesterday? We were basically typing it out at the same time. I had had the same thoughts, which was also why I scanned you.

Seon just informed me that my block on Skooma Addict was successful. In my opinion, s/he's not only inactive, but probably innocent as well.

That's why he's still alive. That makes sense. Diamondeye, your existence is more of a conundrum than mine. There is no way either of us should be alive, but certainly not both.

Because I hold the Askthepizzaguy card in this game of Cluedo, I know it's not me. I also know it's not Skooma due to the murder, and my successful block. That's very unfortunate for your case against me, or your innocence.

So now you tell me that you've been kidnapped at night, and blocked someone who isn't here to deny it?

No, I wanted to leave it ambiguous as long as possible that I had not been kidnapped (Auto changed his mind) because the ambiguity is one of the very few things a scum wouldn't already know the answer to, and it might trip them up when making a case against me.

But I overrode that decision when Seon clarified the results of my night action. He should also have sent results to anyone else who had a night action, if they did not get their results yet. Given the little time remaining in this round I wanted to make it clear that Skooma is no longer a suspect for this murder, which narrows the options to me and you (of the two of us, which is plenty fair given the circumstances)

I had been mulling an offer to pull my vote from you and place it on Skooma, on the off-chance you were town, and then have Auto and I block you, so that one of our blocks was guaranteed to succeed. You know me, always throwing my suspects a bone. Remember the Swords and d20s minigame? I had you dead to rights but insisted on blocking you merely because you put out the effort, you vote, and you're active and intelligent. That goes very far with me.

But Seon's results made that a non-option. I am afraid I am now prepared to bet the game on your guilt, and suffer the consequences. I don't trust you, this is the end of the line unless a miracle changes my mind.

Bet: 100 credits on Diamondeye.

Voting for someone who isn't me or ATPG should be nonsense now. We need Frozen In Ice and hopefully Skooma to vote unless Autolycus redecides.

Skooma I'll buy, I believe that.

Galynea could have started off an innocent mason, but this is a game of recruitment. Are you suggesting innocent masons have anti-recruitment powers? That seems unbalanced.

Discarding a suspect so readily smells of appealing to flattery almost. Of COURSE Galynea can't be guilty, we know he started off innocent! Bull-frog. Seon has also been in at least one game where someone was paired up with a mason partner who was guilty, hosted by yours truly. Seon is just as evil a host as I am.

And, you were in it too, IIRC, and you're also better than discarding suspects so easily.

Assuming for the sake of argument the game continues/you're innocent when you die, How do you propose that we scan, block, and block? You obviously think I should be blocked. Well then I can't block someone. You'll be dead and the scanny item (which you claim is useless to everyone but you) won't be able to scan. That leaves no one to block or scan the remainder.

Bull, ATPG. You said we'd cut the chase and reduce this to a simple choice between the two of us. I'm fine with that.
I'm hoping Frozen In Ice or Autolycus has that hat on.

I've noticed nother tendency mafia have: to reduce their number of suspects to one or two townies at a time because townies like being told that they aren't under suspicion. It helps mafia gain needed support to lynch townies and not get lynched. Mafia have only one or two suspects at any given time, but will vote for whoever is convenient. Townies will accuse a bunch of people, but their voting pattern is not as situation-based.

You are still fitting the mold of what many players, yourself included, will do as mafia.

If the mafia numbers work out that way, then yes, I agree.

If Auto kills me while I roleblock someone, I can be reduced as a suspect while also accomplishing my function.

If my vote is not needed in the next phase by mafia math, and I would be a suspect and ever-so-tempting for the lynch, then kill me tonight.

If the kill can only be done in the day phase, then I would not be as enthusiastic about it. I lose the block, which is important. But if that's the only way to right this mess, so be it. I'll be damned if I get set up as a fall guy so someone can escape from the lynch again at my expense.

Cultists? Cults imply recruitment. It's also your main argument for my guilt, me suddenly going from non-killer to killer.

Don't put the words in my mouth. I meant that someone else off the same team could have done the killings. You're the only one to suggest that this game might have a conversion mechanic. PIS, or just bull?

We know for certain this restriction applies both to mafia and town alike?

I don't think we know, but perhaps Seon can explain exactly what injuries do in this game? I was injured earlier and it said that I couldn't use abilities and my strength was null. I guess that's the same for everyone.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

Ah yes, I remember not being in that game at all. I watched a bit, but I certainly didn't play.

I've noticed another tendency mafia have: to conjure cases up out of the blue air against a single townsperson - the one they think is the easiest target - and just keep pecking until someone buckles. It doesn't always work, but as soon as townspeople stop defending themselves, it's almost certain to. Walls of text can drown out many reasonable arguments, especially when the architect is as persistant as you

I believe you cannot use your night ability if in the hands of Autolycus. But I'm kind of hoping we won't get to that because I still think we should lynch you, then Autolycus can block me if he wants to, heck, even kill me, if the game continues.

Of course you do realize that's my modus operandi as townie as well, especially in the endgame where it's crunch time? I can name games if you wish. You've experienced it plenty of times to know that though.

I'm busy right now so I have to keep it relatively short:

I'm going to have to go with Diamondeye on this one. If you must know, the main point that swayed me over was Diamondeye said that he had scanned ATPG as a non-killer up to this point. It almost sounds like Diamondeye painted himself into a corner and is now trying to come up with a way to make ATPG appear guilty because he knows he doesn't have a chance of making anyone else appear that way. However, the update seems to offer evidence that this is might be a new kill method. That combined with the fact that ATPG mentioned conversion (knowing too much info syndrome?), and the fact that he would be an ideal choice for conversion makes me suspicious.

However, your guys' debate has been spread out so thinly and diluted with unecessary banter (as far as catching the killer goes) that it would be really helpful that if each of you made your overall arguements in one post, along with a plan for night actions should you get what you want. This would be very helpful for me.

Finally, do most people believe that Skooma is the werewolf that hasn't been killing recently? What if we lynched Skooma and then went about with our night actions to determine the killer?

Finally, do most people believe that Skooma is the werewolf that hasn't been killing recently? What if we lynched Skooma and then went about with our night actions to determine the killer?

Ok I'll try to tackle this.

Main argument is that my group, the Innkeeper, Fishwife, and Child, are a family, all with a personal goal to keep each other alive. Furthermore, I have a roleblocking ability, Diamondeye is loaded with items and can scan people. It is utterly ridiculous that the three of us would still be alive at this point, considering how many evil teams there were and how much crossfire there was. In my opinion, one of the teams considered me not a threat or a voting ally.

That plus their survival points to Skooma and Diamondeye. Skooma is totally inactive in every game, everywhere, for some time now. Diamondeye is a claimed/known scanner and has been for several phases. He's active, and he's not been targeted.

Skooma was roleblocked by me successfully last night, though I expect I blocked a sack of potatoes instead, because he's probably not doing anything. But, we do know he's not the killer because of this.

I happen to know I'm innocent, and I do believe Romanic admitted I roleblocked him before he died. I believe we determined he was probably guilty as a result of that, though it wasn't me who figured it out because I was confused by the other kill.

The argument Diamondeye used was riddled with the usual things I find scummy, especially fallacies and appeals to basic emotions. That's how people manipulate one another, and he immediately switched to doing that when I accused him.

Finally, he's got a prophet item which is strangely handicapped so that "only a child" can use it, every other night, and has told us nothing we don't already know.

Plus, the child has a Necronomicon, which he claims he can't read. I've been waiting, because I didn't want to alter the results by prompting it, but Diamondeye seems to have declined to freely volunteer giving the book to someone he trusts. So I think that tells you he's less concerned with distancing himself from such an evil (likely) item, even if it means helping to establish his innocence, or he would have thought of that already. He would have wanted to assuage our suspicions, and since the item is useless to him, why would he not?

My choices are that, or some of the people who have been killing good/bad guys during the course of the game, because the people who have the best chance at determining who the opposing mafia are, are mafia. However, I do not believe there would be any support for that at the moment. Further, I know of Auto's ability because he used it on me, and it does not seem guilty.

If you must know, summed up, my point is roughly the opposite of ATPG; I also suspect something shady about our family surviving through this, and as I know I'm innocent and it's pretty obvious that Skooma is inactive even if ATPG hadn't blocked her, I suspect ATPG the most. You, Autolycus and Galynea seem to have been proven as enemies of the cultists clearly enough.

He says I've survived several rounds as an exposed prophet, but to be honest he's one of only a couple of people who have known. On the other hand, he's survived for longer than that as a publically exposed roleblocker.

I don't want ATPG to have the spear. Give it to Frozen In Ice instead.

My suggestions is that we lynch ATPG - who has strength items - and the Autolycus can constrict me (since I have no strength items and is a child = 1 strength). You can scan me as well, if you want to, and Skooma can heal Galynea if he's around. Then, tomorrow, if there has been no kill, we know I'm guilty, and if there's been a kill, we can detect who hasn't done his task and lynch that person. It's failsafe if people do as they're told.

Frozen In Ice
09-18-2010, 19:29
I think this is too close to call. I feel that if the town makes the wrong decision at this point, we will lose.

Instead, we should lynch Skooma. At this point, he is of no help to us if he remains inactive, and there remains a chance that he is the second werewolf that'd we have to kill off eventually. Then we can use tonight as an information gathering night. I can scan Diamondeye while ATPG is blocked by Autolycus. This will let Diamondeye make a scan with the puppet, perhaps a follow-up scan on ATPG or one on someone else.

Now if Diamondeye is the killer, this plan would also let him make a kill, but if he does then we know it must be him and not ATPG who will be preoccupied. If there is no kill then we just got a free information gathering night.

Also, I want ATPG to spread the weapons out a bit more, but he can keep one of them. Because I have no weapons at this point if I don't get the Sword, then I at least want the spear.

I actually have a different take, Frozen. As a NOTW vet (more so than me, by a long shot) you should realize that the 1 str items are basically useless by themselves.

The only way they could really guarantee a win is if they all end up in innocent hands, so they can be used in self-defense.

Added together, they can be useful. I think all the weapons should go to one anonymous person. I've already given mine up to the obviously innocent party here, and that person can give it to whomever he wishes, or keep it himself.

Btw, it's very clear that Skooma wasn't the one who did anything last night, why would you want Skooma gone, Froz? He's seriously been inactive everywhere AND I blocked him.

Frozen In Ice
09-18-2010, 23:03
I just don't want the weapons all in one person's hands incase that person is mafia. At this point I think the weapons are more for keeping the innocents' strength total over that of the one or two mafia left (who probably have high strength themselves), more so than protecting a single innocent.

I'll try to explain my take on Skooma in more detail. The mayor's diary confirmed that there was a second werewolf but that it was keeping a low profile for the moment. This seemed to indicate Skooma in my opinion. Even, if he's innocent then the only thing we lose is a low amount of strength. However, if we lynced you or Diamondeye then we could get a kill on mafia, or we could lose one of most active innocents. The more active the innocents are, the more active the mafia need to be to fit in. The more the mafia have to talk, the more likely they'll make a mistake. Overall, I just thought that lynching Skooma would be a much less risky move to make. I feel that currently we are betting the game on Diamondeye's lynch, while if we lynched Skooma we don't have to come to a game ending decision until after we got more information.

Now of course that Skooma is back it changes my thoughts on everything. It's more likely that he'll be helpful now in voting and will keep the activity level up, which makes me feel more assured in lynching Diamondeye. On the other hand, it's quite likely a werewolf kill might pop up again. If we lynch an innocent today, and there are two mafia kills tonight, then the innocents will lose. I was hoping that Skooma would post again to give us a little bit more to judge him by, but there isn't much time left today at this point.

One thing that's bothering me right now is the possibility that we've been given personal VC's that are impossible to achieve. Apparently all of us are supposed to protect each other which means that if one of us is scum, secondary objectives are moot. I'm supposed to keep my child alive at any cost, even if it means killing myself in the process. I'm not sure it makes sense for Diamondeye to be scum unless he was recruited by cultists.

"Captain!" said the navigator. "Requesting permission to land on that island to restock on supplies, sir!"

Captain silently stared at the island and sighed. "New to these waters, eh?" the captain said.

"Sir?" the navigato stammered.

"That island..." captain said. "There used to be a town there. Nice place. Nice air...nice people...nice women...until something happened. The entire town vanished without a trace as if it never existed in the first place. And then travelers around that region began to disappear as well. I think the town was called Inavi... we don't go there anymore."

Checkmate

The child knew what was coming to him. When the innkeeper, his father, came by with the axe in his hand and pained expression on his face, he began to laugh.

"Father," the child said. "What do you think you are doing with that axe?"

"I am sorry," the innkeeper replied. He raised the axe high...

and brought it down.

The child stopped the axe with his finger tip. His face twisted into a face filled with mockery. "Did you actually think, father, that you would be able to kill me with that simple little weapon?"

The innkeeper screamed as he felt himself being picked up by an unseen force. The retired captain immediately drew his longbow and let several arrows fly into the child, who stopped them dead in their tracks but was forced to relinquish his deadly grip on the innkeeper.

"It was you all along!" Galynea screamed out in rage as she hobbled towards the Child, her Cane Sword in hand. Diamondeye nonchanlantly picked her up using his telekinetic powers and threw her towards the Retired Captain.

ATPG, recovered from the fall, drew out his knife and threw it with a scream of anguish towards Diamondeye's figure. There was a blinding flash of light in the room and 7 stakes, each representing one of the original evil gods of Erebus, appeared flying around the Child. As they wove an intricate pattern into the air, the knife was easily deflected and sent scattering away on the floor.

The Scholar furiously flipped through the mayor's diary. Mayor's warnings didn't mean anything now... if he could find a way...if he could only find a way of injuring this monstrosity...

Retired Captain shoved the miller out of the way and charged Diamondeye, scimitar in hand. Diamondeye waved his hand towards the chairs and the tables scattered around the room. The retired captain halted mid-charge, the tables and the chairs were coming together to form some kind of golem...

The scholar found the page he was looking for.

Galynea threw her sword into the golem that was forming. Unfortunately, the sword was merely absorbed into the golem itself...

Diamondeye began to laugh, a laugh that was cut short when he sensed that Fishwife was attacking from the behind. Without even looking at the attacker, he formed a wall of ice between the fishwife and himself.

The scholar began to chuckle as he read the page...

Diamondeye laughed as he waved his hand towards the cabinet of beer. All the liquid inside the inn, excluding the ones used for building the Ice Wall, began to form a Water Elemental...

ATPG picked up the battleaxe. He knew what had to be done...

The Scholar began to laugh maniacally...

Galynea picked up the Mayor's Sword. Its black blade began to quiver excitedly...

One of the stakes grazed autolycus's cheek as he battled the giant construct. The fishwife took a chair and bashed the golem hard against the head, which merely annoyed it.

Diamondeye once again stopped ATPG's axe with his bare hands, smiled, and threw him into the forming water elemental. He sensed Galynea approaching rather quickly for an injured woman and prepared to destroy her once and for all.

He suddenly felt something passing by his leg.

Diamondeye turned around to see the laughing face of the scholar at the other side of the inn. He looked down to his leg to discover that the spear had just barely missed hitting his leg. He wasn't even scratched. Diamondeye began to laugh as well.

He tried to turn around to face the miller.

Only to discover that he could not.

The spear pinned his pants to the floor, preventing his movement.

Fear streaked across the child's face. Galynea thrusted the sword...

Somewhere, a figure silently tipped his king over.

On the island, all the truth was exposed.

There was a flaw in my spell, in my dreamhold. I realized that when an opportunity came to me to exit the Dreamhold.

I found nothing.

There were at least a 100 people living inside this town! Many died when the Avatar rampaged, yet I could not find their corpses nor their buildings either. It was as if they never existed.

And do you know why?

It was because they never existed in the first place. Everyone inside this town... people, buildings, even the grass, every single bit of it was a lie. There was no bodies because there wasn't anyone to kill. There was no sign of scorched earth for there were no jellyfishes and dragons to scorch the land. Just because I saw those things take place meant nothing. Inside this island, logic becomes twisted.

My spell didn't save anyone. They never existed in the first place. Everything was a mere dream... but is at least the Avatar Real? Am I real?

Am I brave enough to find out?

The remaining villagers stared as the scholar clambered up the stairs of the inn, spear in hand. No more lies remained anymore. They all knew the Truth. They all went to sleep in the inn that night. Most were too tired to return to their own home...

And in their sleep, they were haunted by the cruelest of nightmares. They all recognized the frame of the child, yet his face was twisted in a grimace of inhuman hate, and his eyes mere slits, like that of deepwater serpents. His voice roared as waves against the rocky shore, inescapable in the realm of dreams:

"Pathetic mortals! Do you think yourselves heroes now? You may have defeated my incarnation, but you will never escape the grasp of Hastur! You shall perish as the whispers from the deep drowns out even your own thoughts until you cannot even hear your own wails of terror. Who are you to be heroes? A woman without her beloved? Parents without their child? A scholar who has been teaching lies all of his life and only just realized it?
No! The dreamhold is shattered, and when the Truth hits you like the tidal wave, you will all be swept off your feet.

You can never escape this sick world, compared to which the Dreamhold has been a short and amiable pause. "Frozen in Ice," the swordsman said as he pulled out his sword.

Frozen in Ice chuckled. The swordsman plunged the sword deep into his chest.

The sword passed straight through Frozen in Ice as if he didn't even exist in the first place. "Hard to kill a real thing, isn't it?"

The swordsman hesistated.

"Well then, if you will excuse me..." Frozen in Ice said, passing clean through the ropes as well. He left the house and into the storm that never ended inside this dreamworld.

Something fell from his pockets. Frozen in Ice glanced down at the Mayor's Diary, now splayed open upon the wet grounds. Frozen in Ice's face contorted into that of a grin, and vanished much like the mayor.

The mayor's diary, all its contradictions packed in hundreds of blank pages, vanished as well.

Only thing that was left... was the lone spear, but even that disappeared soon after.

The dreamhold was falling apart. The elaborate web of lies stacked on top of yet more lies was quickly disintegrating. The sea was gone, replaced by chasms of nothingness. The sky no longer had the suns, the stars, nor the moon, but stared into nothingness as well. The villagers required no more lights now. Light was simply yet another lie. Nothing was true.

The mysterious disappearance of the scholar, much similiar to the way that the mayor disappeared, was noted as well. It was just as if they...chose to leave this dreamworld. It might be just as well. He was not one of them after all...

Frozen in Ice was innocent!

The rest of the villagers all nodded towards each other. They knew what had to be done now.

There would be no more item voting. It would not matter after all.

I don't know whether this world is real, but it's the only world I've got, and I'll be darned if I'll stop fighting for it. Skooma Addict, at best guess, we're still missing a werewolf, and both of the other two who are still here are too weak to be it in my estimation. Do you have anything to say for yourself? ATPG, Galynea, please make cases for why the other one is the interloper in case I'm wrong about Skooma, because if I am, one of you has a terminal appointment with me.

OOC:Seon, is the omission of Galynea's role intential?

All...all I know is that my wounds are festering and that this fishy woman isn't doing a move to help me with the medicinal kit we gave her! I say we bring Skoom Addict down now if she doesn't help me...that would be as good as declaring she's guilty.

Sorry gentlemen, but I received a "whisper" last night which led me to believe that I should block Skooma Addict again.

It was not Skooma.

It said:

"Your personal goal no longer matters now. You know the Truth.

Which I interpreted to mean that my personal goal to keep Skooma alive no longer mattered. Which, I interpreted to mean he was the werewolf. I was wrong, but he's not the guilty party.

No, at the moment it is between you and Autolycus in my mind.

I should have done as Autolycus asked and blocked you, Galynea. Explain how your wounds are still "festering" when you're not even injured.

For self preservation, not how I like to play. Chances are I'd be voting for another innocent anyway. There's no point in sacrificing town for another town, especially one that's as lost as i am. Personally, I'd rather see what happens tonight without losing another player.

OOC:

I strongly disagree. I tend to play these games for exactly these sorts of moments, especially if it has been a riveting game. The ability to cast your vote, persuade others, and make a final decision together as to who wins the game is one of my favorite parts of the game.

The guilty party in question could always refrain from murdering, leaving us right back where we were, one step closer to a draw. We should decide and stop blankety-blanking around.

Skooma Addict
09-22-2010, 00:02

If Auto and whatever else is out there both kills it's game over in one turn. Update Evening 11

The villagers...or what thought themselves as villagers... looked at the giant monstrosity before them with a vague interest. The werewolf, that was. It stared at them and the villagers stared right back, as if trying to remember the normal course of action in this situation.

Finally, the werewolf roared and swiped at a villager who rolled out of the way in time. Another villager swung its weapon at the werewolf, and missed completely. The voices from the void began to clamor as if in confusion.

The werewolf knocked a villager off its feet and lunged for its throat, only to be knocked off itself by yet another villager. The voices whispered imperiously...

The villagers all lunged at the werewolf, who howled...

and then it was gone. All four villagers looked around themselves, the voices returning to their soft whispers now. Then they returned home, if they even had home, that is. Did they forget something? Perhaps they did. Perhaps they did not.

Morning Update 12

The beings grew impatient. There had been too much delay...

Nobody has died yesterday night, as expected. The void was ever-slowly swallowing the vilages, houses, mountains, forests. The end was near, and the beings had to prepare...

Prepare for what? The mayor would have asked. He always did ask too many questions. So did the scholar.

The beings gazed cooly at each other. Only one thought was left on their mind.

I'm confused because Skooma as werewolf should have been able to murder me, even though I was blocking him.

A roleblocker cannot block someone who is trying to murder them, according to the standard game mechanics that I'm aware of. If Skooma is guilty, why didn't he kill me?

I say we hang Skooma! If she survives, it will be prove of her guilt. If she dies...uh...well...she can start gutting fishies for us in the afterlife, so we can dine together. She holds up her bottle of gin, a faint smile waxing towards both corners of her lips. Her chest warmed by the soft, comforting touch of drink. She holds in her hand a small charm, something that her son had made for her...or so she thought. The wind beckons her hair to dance and indeed it does oblige. There sits in front of her an easel. An unfinished picture of her son, her husband and herself with the waves behind them and nets being drawn in. She sits in her wicker chair and awaits the days end.

Is it possible? None of it is possible. The world is a meaningless points of dumb matter; that's the first thing we tell them.

Matter can't stand up and start changing the world. Except that it does; we do. You have to start with the absurdity, or you won't get anywhere.

And the meaning in our heads, which can't be there in the first place, certainly can't get out and start changing the world, ignoring even the blind interacting strictures of matter. That's impossible too. Except it happens.

That's why we call magic 'the Moral Art.' It's about the way we see the world, not about the world itself. Maybe it always has been in our heads, and not in the world at all. That would just mean that it's more real to us than the world is--as real to us as we are.

The Final Night

The voices now grew silent in triumphant expectation. Then the three beings gathered on the inn, possibly, looked at the small parchment left on the table.

It read...

A Lost Vow to My Forbidden Love

I made a vow, and I intend to keep it. Several moons ago you came to me, taunting me, daring me. I wished to answer the call but I could not. I had to put the safety of my child before my own desires. That is not the case now. I am free from my curse, and free from that which bound me to the living world. You flee like a coward, and you shall die like one as well. I am coming for you, my friend. For I made you a promise, Ser Jelly, and I am assure you, you will be mine.

I will feast upon your tentacles and I shall dash you to pieces. Your mysteries shall be made known unto me and your secrets will be mine. Spineless, even in death, you shall feel the embrace of my searing blade. Why did you flee from me? What have I done to draw your ire? It matters not for my hunt has finally ended. At last I shall reveal myself to you Ser Jelly...at last I shall have revenge.

Forever yours with love,

Henrietta the Fisherwoman

The Fishwife was a Werewolf/Innocent!

The beings looked at each other bewilderedly. Now what would they do? Have they finally vanquished the last of the dissenting material?

The retired captain, or what once believed himself to be the captain, looked out the window at the void feeled night. There was no more time left. He nodded to the other two assembled in the room, and exited the room and made their final journey into the forests of the forest, now standing dark and adamant inside this island surrounded by void.

After few minutes of searching, they finally found what they were looking for...a small lake has formed by all the rain from the past few weeks. They gathered around it, and...began to whisper...

Wake up...

Wake up...

Wake up...

Wake up...

wakeup....

wakeu....

wa...

From far away, the mayor sighed as the void finally claimed the entirety of the island.

...........................................................................................

A Year Later

The scholar was back on the island.

"Please sir," the sailor muttered. "Whatever you want to do, make it quick please. This place gives me the creeps..."

The scholar nodded vaguely in the direction of the sailor and walked into the interior of the island, alone.

In his hand was a small piece of parchment.

He took one last look at the parchment, and threw it away. He wouldn't need it anymore; he had already memorized its contents. He took out a dagger...

and began to carve onto a tree...

Sonny: a barmaid in Innsmouth. Two years ago, she took out a walk on a shady patch and was attacked by a band of wild dogs. Sadly, she did not survive the attack.

Jooray: A famous tinkerer in the Luchirup nation. He was killed when one of his creations ran out of control, tearing apart the poor man.

God Emperor: A former pirate turned guardsman of the Lanun nation. He was killed by a Calabim spy who seduced him to gather information.

remake20: A grape farmer who lived in the Lanun countryside. He was killed when the Balseraph invaded. He has been noted to have been sacrificed on the alter to the Ashen Veil's god, Agares.

vince: She was a Elohim nun. She died when the Mechanos invaded, valiently trying to help a group of children escape the city. Struck by a cannonball, a certain death for a woman of conviction.

Tiberius of the Drake: A traveling merchant. He was murdered by a Sidar swordsman who tracked him down for stealing his sword.

Csargo: An old man of a town near Inavi. Loved by all, he lived to an impressive age before he hung himself. He broke his neck with the rope and the death was instantneous. It is still unknown why he would have hung himself.

ACIN: He was a Sheaim child who died when the Mercurians invaded, murdering everyone in the city. He died innocently, not even old enough to understand the concept of sin. He saw a glimpse of the Golden Land beyond the world, but was torn apart and dragged into hell.

Diana: She was a herbalist of a small town in Tir'chanoil. She made her home near a graveyard where the dangerous creatures lay to help others withoug even considering her own safety. She expected to die, and wasn't disappointed.

Winston: He was a very famous vicar of the Malakim people. One day, much like the elder of another town, he hung himself. Nobody understands why.

Link: A wheat farmer who was once a pirate. Unfortunately, piracy often breeds hatred. A son of a woman he once killed tracked him down at the end.

johnhouhgthom: A missionary of the faith of Whispers. She was killed by an angry mob who lynched her and kept her head as a trophy.

Secura: He was a famous shaman of the doviello. He rode a bison into battles, horrific to the enemy and heroic to the allies. He was finally killed when he rushed head first into the Prior of the Bannor army. Power of chaos was no match agaisnt the Bannor's Law.

Jerry: A shipwright who was killed in a mysterious circumstance.

Beskar: Formely known as Renata, the Reborn. She was one of the greatest of all dreamers of the Whispers of the Wave religion until a hawk dropped a turtle on her head.

wideyedwanderer: He was killed in the beginning of Luchuirup vs Balseraph war. A fire golem lay waste to an entire city block of Jubilee in a well coordinated surprise attack. He was one of those taken by surprise.

Beefy: He was a werewolf, perhaps one of the most powerful of them all. He struck fear into all the lands he passed with thousands of kills attributed to his name. He was fnally killed by a dwarven sniper.

Jolt: One of the few members of the vampric aristocracy in Calabim. She took a bathe in blood every day until her slaves poisoned her, then ripped her apart as she lay powerless.

Nightbringer: He was eaten by the great red dragon of the barbarian horde.

Romanic: One of the greatest warriors of the Whispers religion. He led his band of the Drown against the Bannor when he was ambushed at the forests of the Winter Court. He felled dozens of the ambushers by himself until he was overrun.

Civplayah: A guardsman who fell victim to gang warfare. A thrown dagger slit his throat. He died of asphyxia.

The Flax: A Prior of the Bannor army. He was killed in his camp by an assailant. Nobody knows who sent the assassin.

Nictel: Son of Link. He defended his hometown valiently when it was attacked by a band of troll pirates. His heart was burst by a crossbow bolt. His lover's heart bursted as well.

Diamondeye: An innocent little child who once fell into sleep for three years. When all the priests gave up trying to awaken the child and when all hope seemed lost, he awoke.

The scholar sighed. There was still so much unanswered questions... who were the people of the islands that the others, including himself, saw? They couldn't have been those people he listed, they were all either asleep or dead for three years by the time they were last seen... What were they and what did they seek? And who was the mayor? What did he truly seek? There was no mage of that description in the Amurite hiearchy. It was as if the mayor never existed...

Guess you will never know, there was that mocking voice of the mayor again. Yes, as long as he never revealed the truth about the mayor and this island, the voice would persist.

But the mayor was right. There was no point in trying to understand this island. He turned and left to board the ship again.

It is customary to have all character PMs posted by the host; hopefully this will enlighten us. Especially if you tell us what things did.

My poppet actually could answer a question every night but took up my night action.
Oh and it lied about my only question - Jolt being a killer, where it came up with "no". Meh.

Thank you for the game Seon

For those interested in my curious actions, I actually had a role which clearly said I was an innocent who won with the town.

Eventually when Seon was prompting me that I could kill someone, I decided not to do so, finding the nature of my role odd, because once I fulfilled my personal VC to kill one person within 2 days, it gave me that same objective again, making me curious as to its nature, so I abstained from killing after that, and ended up being killed later.

Interestingly, Remake was my only victim.

I'm still confused how Frozen in Ice used my spheres to kill people though, they seemed perfectly harmless

You pulled almost the same trick as ATPG did in one of my earlier games [for those of you who didn't know, Beskar had an item that redirected an attack to a random person, who ended up being - himself], where he redirected an attack onto a teammate...

Day 1: Boring day. I threw that "Oh hey guyz, let's investigate that dead body of an NPC character today to gather evidence, maybe we will find a weapon" thing at you, yielding predictable result.

Romanic gains the Mayor's Sword of Infinity +1

Night 1: The whispers were tasked with an objective: Find the avatar and kill everyone else. They did so in NIGHT 1, much to my initial frustration.

Werewolves targetted Jooray for reasons beyond my understanding.

Jolt tricked God Emperor into "helping" her, which allowed his character to drain the soul of the God Emperor's character to gain +2 strength and double vote ability (which was never quite enough to shake the vote).

Death is Yonder rolled the RNG and killed the person who came up, who was remake. Fortunately remake survived by running the hell away.

Day 2: Players investigate the Mayor's Mansion and finds the Mayor's Diary. Inside is a detailed report of the early days of the village, and would always tell a different story depending on who was reading the book. However, the reader must have been one of the "educated" people, who were Jolt, any of the Whispers Team, Frozen, TheFlax, and Winston Hughes.

Scimitar goes to autolycus. His personal goal have been solved.

Death is Yonder gets the greandes of overpoweredness from Jooray. He proceeds to juggle with them.

Night 2: Death is Yonder rolls the roullete again...getting remake's name again. It is curtains for remake, and the beginning of continuing trend of bad luck when using the RNG.

Death is Yonder hands off the grenades to Frozen in Ice, who instantly recognized their purpose.

Beefy targets Split because...I don't know why.

Romanic Targets Vince because he believes that she has the Sacred Idol.

Day 3: Mayor's Diary, on the whim of the RNGoddess, gets voted to Mayor's Daughter.

Strange Idol gets voted to TheFlax, who instantly recognizes its origin.

Innocents Lynch Tiberius of the Drake who was an inactive and thus worse than the lurkers..

http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/7/6470/Zerg_Lurker.1.jpg

Night 3: More people die everyday. That day was not an exception.

Romanic targetted Frozen in Ice, who was designed as a trap for those religious folks and totally immune to attacks from Romanic and Romanic only meheheheheheheheheheheheheheheeheheheheheheeheheheheheeheh (okay, I was too cruel there, but it is my first game so whatever).

Predictiably, even the begger girl could have killed him.

Village Elder gets beheaded by Autolycus for being inactive.

Death is Yonder attacks ACIN, triggering a counterattack by the embodiment of death itself.

Death is Yonder gives Scholar the Diary, triggering the Always on your Mind storyline.

Day 4: People kill ACIN, who had 5 strength and ability to protect someone every night. Perhaps the greatest failure ever, because Death is Yonder pretty much said "Oh yeah, I have been going around stabbing people in the back, all those nice stuff."

Nictel obtains the Canesword *insert FF7 victory theme here*

Diamondeye gets the puppet. I had fun answering his questions, because most of them were roundabout lies.

Night 4: Choxorn steals Canesword. He had tried to steal stuff from DiY multiple times before, but only now managed to succeed.

Everyone clap for choxorn. Clap clap clap/

Winston Hughes dies because he knew too much. He was also a prophet who could detect Truthfulness.

Beefy eats the herbalist becaue he's not impressed by her healing skillz.

That decision would come to bite him in the behinds later.

Wheat Farmer dies because autolycus loses patience. He was a prophet who could tell which nationality people belonged to. Town: 0. Anti-Town: 4.

Autolycus, why did you decide to kill me? Was my innocence still in question at that point? I was so close to making it onto ATPG's post of winningness but now I forever be one step short...

Well I was extremely lucky it seems with the spheres. Without them it appears it might have been a total route of the innocents by the whispers of the wave. Still I was right about four different killers, Beskar, Romanic, Skooma, and Diamondeye, which is a first for me. However, I was very close to not lynching Diamondeye that one day. It's not that I suspected him less, it's that my Pizzaguymafiosophobia rises exponentially as a game goes on.

Great game, Seon. I can't say I understood much of it, but the few hours I was alive were great fun.

No question for me about who wins Most Valuable Player award: Frozen in Ice turned this one around almost single handed, and did a brilliant job of identifying the badguys (after the understandable mistake with Secura).

Galynea also deserves a mention for the most excellent roleplaying.

Frozen In Ice was so gaddamn lucky. The RNG foiled my team several times, and on the top of that, FiI resisted a night kill...

Seon told me that if I had attacked Autolycus instead of Flax on my last night, we would've won. We were this close. I agree with you that FiI really deserves the "player of the match"-award, but only because his team won. You have no idea how much my team deserved to win, but due to a streak of bad luck and some really annoying strength standoffs (I had 7 STR at the end without winning!), we always fell just short of victory...

It was I who talked Autolycus into busying himself with vigkilling. Csargo was my first suggestion and Autolycus' first kill...

Plus, I felt we weren't rewarded enough for the early discovery of me as the Avatar (I was innocent until night 1, which means the single most scummy post I made was made while I was innocent).

Oh well I'll quit my gripe soon enough, I'm used to losing as mafia, but I really felt that I deserved the win this time.

:shame:

Still, I'm happy I did some good by passing the items that Frozen in Ice then used to help the others attain victory. :beam:

In any event, I still want to know why I was a psychopath, my role pm explicitly said townie innocent, well I was a bit cuckoo (liking red feathers [blood] and all) but I would have thought that at least my VC wouldn't lie :inquisitive:

I actually want to know because I stopped killing as I suspected something was wrong, I completed my VC to kill someone (presumably a vig) before getting the exact same objective within the same timeframe requirement again.

Plus I won't feel so bad if I really was an evil psychopath who took out a good guy (ACIN)

Participates in too many games syndrome:

Askthepizzaguy has a win percentage of less than 50% as townie, and has bungled many of the past several games even when being right on 100% of the mafia suspects, having accused the actual guilty parties in exhaustive manner, often chickening out and changing his mind at the last moment, thus spoiling the game. = Actual skill level

Askthepizzaguy posts often and usually says more than a few sentences. = High visibility, inflating perceived skill level

Askthepizzaguy has been in many, many games = High visibility, inflating perceived skill level

Askthepizzaguy is generally a good mafioso = luck, because it is always in the townie's hands to lynch me at any time. You can't really stop a determined town from killing you.

High visibility + number of games + luck = perception that I'm good. :laugh4:

Day 5: The Traveler's Staff, which would have given anyone the power to know the Truth of whatever another person said in the thread, was voted to Frozen in Ice who couldn't use it, due to him being an anti-religious militaristic nay-theist and all. The Longbow was given to askthepizzaguy, and the medicine Supplies were given to Skooma, who was a werewolf.

Secura tried to use her ability to take down Nictel to save herself, which was futile as Romanic now hd an ability to convince 50% of the townie who had not yet voted to vote for his favor. Aso there was the fact that she targetted Frozen in Ice, who was, via the power of EOP, or extremely overpowered ability, completely and utterly immune.

Jerry, who is my werewolf friend in school, expressed disbelief that she was killed by an Emperor palpatine Jellyfish.

Some people got injured, but that was okay because most of those people were unimportant (hey!). All unimportant except for Beefy. He decides to not ask Skooma to heal him.

Neutrals (2): Death is yonder, Jolt.

Town: everyone else?

Nightbringer's faction was never revealed after he died, and I don't believe this info was made public post-game.
