A frequent backroom visitor and creator of the Political Leanings stickied thread, this younger German guy is most notable for his monarchist views. He typically falls to the right, but is not beholden to it; always basing his positions on well reasoned arguments instead of ideology. A history buff of sorts who also frequents the monastery, his efforts to show Germany's positions in both World Wars as deeper than black and white occasionally spill over into the backroom. A smart, capable, and independent thinker.

A Californian of Swedish ancestry (and proud of it!), his politics generally slant to the left but with so many notable exceptions they could more appropriately be described as independent. While a generally friendly guy, his style can be cold, cutting, and crass - but always based in strong moral positions. He's not afraid to get personal and put himself on the line for what he believes in.



Those are the only two I really know well enough to write about besides Antiochus, but I don't think he visits much anymore. If you don't like them or don’t feel they’re accurate, just tell DA not to update. :bow:

HolyBandit here, had some time so I figured ill fill one of these out.

I joined this forum a couple years ago. I got Empire Earth for my 11th birthday, and medieval total war for christmas (and a total war game almost every christmas after that!). Its one of the major reasons iv been interested in history, and it got me really into computer games (empire earth still helped though, that was a great game).

Im 16 years old, in 11th grade, and live in Virginia. I have locks (commonly reffered to as "dreadlocks"). Most of them are really thick, I have 24 in total. They are outward representation of my philosophies of freethinking and indivisualism.Iv had them for about a month, and I wash them every 3-4 days and rinse them every day after crosscountry (longdistance running) practice. In case anyone is wondering I am white. I used the backcombing method to get them (www.Dreadheadhq.com helped me out alot).

I am a atheist. Iv read books by Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Nietzche, and christopher hitchens. Once school gets in full swing im going to try to start reading again, iv heard Carl Sagan and Mark Twain are excellent. I am very against religion (maybe even a anti-theist?).

Music wise; Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, The Rolling Stones,Jimmy Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, John Lennon, Cypress Hill,and others.

I run Cross Country and once I get a job im going to get into kickboxing. I wanted to get into Muy Thai since it looked pretty badass, but the studio is too far away.

And lots of good things come out of UC Berkeley! Well, experts with long titles and credentials usually. Not very good football most years, though lately we've been better. Probably what I miss most about it is having in no particular order, Thai, Chinese, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Ethiopian, Mexican, Latin American (of non-Mexican backgrounds, Cuban etc.), American, European and Middle Eastern cuisine all within a four or five block distance. Back here in suburban sprawl Los Angeles, you gotta drive 20 minutes this way to get this, 20 minutes that way to get that, unless you want fast food and drive thru's and chain diners. ;)

In another sense, too, I used to be one of the mods of OT. I was a lot more like um, Banguo's Ghost or Sir Clegane back then, I tried not to get into controversial topics with my own viewpoints too much. So you are very much seeing me with the gloves off now that I am just a regular poster. ;)

A Texan in San Antonio, this 6 foot bubba loves football, the Marine Corps, and all things Texas. Sometimes he is tempted by liberal thoughts, but he always manages to come back to earth. Very well liked because of his plain honesty and his seemingly simple yet mostly complex posts and his sense of giddy joy that seems to accompany a lot of his posts.
