What is a tournament?

Tournaments are standalone events allowing competitors to compete against each other as part of a specific event. There are several tournament types listed below.

What is a single elimination tournament?

A single-elimination tournament, also called a knockout, cup or sudden death tournament, is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match or bracket is immediately eliminated from winning the championship or first prize in the event.

What is a double elimination tournament?

A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament's championship upon having lost two games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only one defeat results in elimination.

What is a Round Robin Tournament?

A Round Robin tournament is where each player plays each other player once. The winner is the one with the highest number of wins.

What is a ladder?

Ladders enable teams/ players to sign up for a ranked table, enabling them to challenge other competitors to improve their ranking. Ladders can either go on indefinitely or can be run for a select time period (e.g. 1 month).

How do I challenge someone in the ladder?

Click on their user name and then click 'Challenge Player'. (Note: You must have already joined the ladder.)

How do I accept or reject a ladder challenge?

In the navbar, click the 'Ladders' dropdown and then click 'Ladder Challenges'.

How do I submit my ladder challenge result?

In the navbar, click the 'Ladders' dropdown and then click 'Ladder Challenges'.

Will I lose my elo rating in the ladder if I leave the ladder?

No, your elo rating, loses and wins will return if you re-join a ladder. This prevents players with a poor elo rating, leaving ladder and then re-joining immediately to improve their elo rating.

How much will my elo rating change if I challenge this player?

It depends - Elo Rating is based on both of your elo ratings at the time of the game. So if you beat someone with a higher rank than you then you will gain more than if you beat someone with a lower elo rating than you. For your reference you can use the Elo Rating Calculator.

How can I have my ladder rank and statistics in my signature?

You can create a player image here and add the image to your signature and it will automatically update showing your latest statistics.

What is a league?

Players/teams sign up for a league, then once ready an admin will start the league and split competitors into groups. Each competitor will play each player/team in their group.

What are seasons?

Seasons are linked together leagues. If you have played in a previous season, then your performance will affect your group in the new league. Top players/teams of each group will move up a group and bottom players/teams of each group will move down. New players/teams (those who were not in previous season) will be allocated to a group randomly.

What is the knockout stage of a league?

Some leagues may have a knockout stage. The knockout stage takes the top 2 players/teams from each group (after all matches have been played) and puts them against each other in the same format as a single elimination tournament. Thus an overall winner of the league is found.

I clicked 'Join Team' but I am not in the team member list.

The team leader needs to accept you into the team, before you appear as a team member.

How do I accept/reject team member request?

Go to your team page and then go the team members tab.

How do I remove a player from my team?

Go to your team page and then go the team members tab. Click the X on the right of the team member.

How do I create a team?

Click Teams in top navigation then click, 'New Team'.

How do I join a team?

Navigate to the team's profile page. Then click 'Join Team'. The team list is here.

Who are 'Free Agents'?

Free agents are members who are looking for a team to join. If you are a team leader then you can request a free agent to join your team.

How do I find a team to join?

Either browse through the team list for a team, then request to join it. Or sign up as a Free Agent.

What teams am I already part of?

In top navigation bar, click Teams then click My Teams List.

What is the maximum number of players I can have in my team?

You can have up to 999 players in your team.
