Sensationalist UK Headline sparks Eurarabia Scare
Oh Subway, naturally in England. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...alal-meat.html
How about making Turkey bacon/ham optional? Nah of course not removing all pork, that's what you do. I hope this is annoying enough for the native Brits to boycot these dhimmis
Edit: Also in The Sun
-
Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
Considering I dont really frequent fast food joints outside of chinese takeaway I dont think a boycott would be too hard. Still, I am confused why Subway would think removing pork be a good buisness move.
-
Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
Doubt there was any polite asking involved, hatebeards don't ask they tend to demand. Subway is pretty good by the way, good sandwiches for on the go.

Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
Oh lookie, 90% of the information in the Daily mail can be shown false in just three short paragraphs.
What a shocker, Daily Mail is such a quality paper!

Except that none of them does that.
Pork *poof* it's gone. Halal only

Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
If, in some location, there is very little demand for pork, then why would a corporation continue to supply the franchise in that location with pork?
Shame on these Muslims for daring to maintain their culinary traditions while not living in the Middle East where they damn well belong.

Because the primary goal of any corporation should be to fight jihad and promote nationalism, apparently. Making money? Hah, irrelevant!

If they 'strongly demand' that no pork is served, yeah that's about where they belong yeah. Fuck their relgious rules. Why should I not be able to get a ham sandwich because some iq-challenged mongrols who just rolled of the mountain lost control of their camel and accidently ended up in a modern civilisation. Subway can do as she pleases it's their company after all, but I am not going to buy anything there anymore.
-
Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
....Then how 'bout buying a sandwich at the regular subway store, eh?

Do you go to Chinatown to buy pizza?
So 12% of Subway's on the Isles are offering halal food - how many of them actually serve no pork is going to be fewer, presumably decided by franchise-owners on a store-to-store basis.

Nope no way. 'Very strong demands' and me don't resonate all that well. If I would like to have a salaFisting I am pretty sure I can find it somewhere else, and better. So screw Subway. Cowards. You don't have to be a genius to understand that these are parts of England where culture has been enriched. 'Very strong demands'
-
Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
Fragony, I think your English is failing you here.
"Strong demands" /= "strong demand"
Not even the Daily Mail is claiming that there are hordes of angry "beards" specifically telling Subway to nix the pork or else.
In Russian, the word would be 'potrebleniya' for demand in the consumer sense, while in the sense you have in mind the word would be 'trebovania'.
The fact that these two senses can have distinct respective words in one language shows that they are indeed not the same thing.
Though I do admit that a better literal translation of 'potrebleniya' would be "consumption", the word basically corresponds to the Western concept of consumer demand.
TLDR: Don't conflate (consumer) demand with a demand. Notice the difference the article makes.

That is one of the best explanations I have read in a while.
We should use Russian more often to explain things. Очень хорошо!

I don't misunderstand it, you do. My English is just fine, if it weren't 'demands' it would have been 'requests'
Edit, you could be right there, could have demand all wrong.

Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
The Sun title does indeed frame it in the context of pressure as Fragony feels, it isn't in the context of customer demand (even though it is customer demand in reality). This is because the Sun is a trashy newspaper which shows tits to get sales (the ol' called Page 3 Girls) and the quotes are purposefully taken out of context and framed in this way to get people frothing at the mouth.
The actual context is Subway has been putting up 'Halai Stores' in Muslim dominated areas to attract customers and since they are Halai-only, they decided to remove pork products, replaced by turkey, in those stores. Normal Subway stores are not affected and this is the general sort of right-wing populist nonsense the Sun and other tabloids like the Mail do, to get sales.
In short: Nothing to see here.
(and Frags got his English correct in regards to the Sun title/article.)

A major franchise ban pork from some restaurants, not to upset Muslims... And you claim it's NOT a sign that Europe bend over for Islam?
In short: A very serious discussion should be held if we want Muslims dictating the rules of society or not. A ****load to see here.

You make the same mistake Fragony made.
It's not to avoid "upsetting" Muslims - it's to cater to their specific style of consumption.
Or what you're saying is that Muslims in the West should just be happy with what's available and no one should ever be permitted to cater to Muslim tastes...

100%, actually, because the food being served isn't really Halal - the animals are stunned.

I wonder what Frag would make of an anti-Jewish article expressing outrage that a chain is bowing down to Jews and opening kosher stores to cater to Jewish communities in Tottenham and elsewhere. To the average Briton, halal and kosher are practically the same.

Debatable. Many Muslims, in the western world in particular, dont regard if the animal's concious or not an important part of halal; only that the heart is beating during slaughter so there's as little blood remaining in the meat as possible.

If there is no market for the product then I understand why they would adapt.
However I would be surprised that at all these stores there wasn't some level of interest in pork products. It's one thing to supply extra options for the paying customer its another to remove options to other customers because someone else doesn't want it.

I will try to be more clear this time around then:
If a store removes products that go against Islam, then it is a clear sign of Islamization.
They have not given Islamist people extra options, they have removed what others might want to adhere to Islamic rule. How is this NOT an extremely clear sign if Eurabia forming?

Thus says someone experienced in catering (literally) for different culinary cultures. How do you Swedes cope with your sizeable ethnic minorities, with them wanting to eat their own food and everything? Maybe your extensive experience in subsuming significant numbers of ethnic minorities could give us Brits a pointer or two, seeing as we've only got the minor matter of 1.5 million Pakistanis and Bangladeshis in our population. Perhaps you can teach us how to eat high horses, maybe even in a beefburger.
-
Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
So we have Kebab places, Curry houses, Kosher Deli's, Italian Food, Chinese Food, etc, but a minority of stores open to cater Halai and everyone loses their minds and scream Eurarabia.

They could serve the same stuff but call it kosher, and the usuals wouldn't raise a squeak.

Nope.
Read again, please.
Ethnic countrymen don't like when things are REMOVED to adhere to Islamic rule. Subway's isn't your everyday local Muslim place, it's an international brand.
It's not about letting Muslims eat whatever they want to, it's about limiting the choice for others because of Islamic law.
Seriously, how can that NOT be a clear sign of Islamization.... Again?

We don't cope.
Sweden has turned into a ****hole over the last two decades.
We no longer have proper schools, we no longer have proper dental care, we no longer have functional care of the elderly and so on and so on.
Sweden is a grand example why Islamization is wrong.
Our (Sweden's) mistake was to assume that people who move here will automatically become Swedish. While in fact they want to remain whatever damn culture they come from.
Don't get me wrong, I totally respect that. But if we let enough ******* muslims in, Islamization is bound to happen.
And personally I hate it, as I see the religion and its followers as absolutely vile.

So they are replacing Pork with Turkey in their Halai-only (and not all) Subway stalls. It is not even 'real Subway' stores, it is the specially Halai ones.
I am able to read clearly, unfortunately, you only read the sensualist headline of The Sun and jumped to conclusions without any facts, it just makes you looks very silly.
If you go to a normal Subway store, feel free to buy your bacon sub, but go to a branded Halai Subway store, and you might be out of luck.
So again... where is the problem and the wild claims of Islamisation when a 'Halai' brand store decides to replace Pork with Turkey-Ham ?

Because, obviously, we ought to be ethically pure in order to pass Kad's Great Test. We absolutely cannot bow down to the Muslims in any way. Even when it's a private company deciding that a different menu may make more money. Swedes in multicultural Sweden know more about how to conduct Britain's affairs than Brits do.
-
Re: State Schools In Birmingham Isolate Non-Muslims. Eurabia Imminent.
Hey Kad, maybe think about cross-contamination? As in, if pork and other meats are prepared on the same surface or with the same equipment, then grease from the pork will contaminate the rest.
Of course, you could resolve that by segregating work-stations, which is likely what many of the franchises have done, but ultimately that is a more expensive option, and possibly not worth it depending on what local demand looks like.
So stuff your Eurabia.

Well, if you don't deem that as a sign of Islamization... I really am lost for words.
In my world view, any store that adhere to a religion is a sign of that religion spreading.
And again: It wouldn't be a problem if they ALSO catered for Muslims... It becomes a problem when they refuse to cater to other needs. As *drumroll* that is a sign of Islamization.
Heck, I could even agree that they catered to Muslims only, if they were in a muslim society. As is though (still, but wont last for long), Muslims are NOT the ethnic majority.
And the Ethnic majority might, just MIGHT, not want that **** around. They may even see it as infringing.
