Used to know a guy who used to buy chips at a chip shop than the one I used, because it was like 5p more expensive, so in their mind, must be better chips. (When they actually weren't)
There are weird people out there.

Nothing weird about that if you studied basic economics... Price-quality link is strong, and people expect high-quality things to be expensive, and unfortunately, the vice-versa as well. But that is how we humans are - nothing you can do about it

Re: Hardees v.s. McDonalds
I don't eat out all that often, and when I do it's often a special occasion and thus a nicer kind of place. Fast food can be handy though on road trips and the like, to keep within the budget. Of the two posted I'd definitely go for Hardee's (for those in the western US it's known as Carl's Jr--I've actually not yet eaten at a Hardee's proper, but assume it wouldn't be any different from my CJ's experiences). They have some of the best tasting fast food options, imo, though they are among the pricier options. More often I'll fall back on Wendy's or Taco Bell dollar menus. McDonald's I have sworn off completely for years, and I don't consider the products they sell to be food. Ultimately, between these two, Hardee's would have to win because it's the only restaurant in the poll that has never given me food poisoning.

Re: Hardees v.s. McDonalds
Wendys FTW. 99cent Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers. 'Nuff said.
-
Re: Hardees v.s. McDonalds
I love Hardees; they're easily my favorite fast-food chain. Monster Burgers, Hot Ham & Cheese sandwiches, and Mushroom Swiss Burgers FTW! :2thumbsup:
-
Re: Hardees v.s. McDonalds
I do not eat fast food, but if I had to choose, Hardee's would easily win. My father likes them, and I know what they look like. The most impressive mass-consumed burgers they are. I have tried them too, a few times, and the quality of the burger is certainly above the rest of the competitors. The grade of the of flavour beef patty is comparable to that of a mid-scale diner, such as, say Applebee's, or even better.
I honestly fail to see why anyone would go to McDonald's - I have been there about four times, all of them with my friends, thus not in my choice. Their menu seems to be more varied (perhaps their only advantage over Hardee's), but especially their burgers are simply not fit to be classified as restaurant-grade food. I am not a finicky eater at all, but I nevertheless can tell the difference between rubbish and not.

Fast food is crap, the only reason why so many north american are so fat they can't even grab their TV controller. Each time you eat in one of these places, you make Europeans and Chineses wealthier and happier, and you're slowly walking toward the downfall of your civilization. Thank you :2thumbsup:
I'd eat in the crappiest "fancy sit-down restaurant" ever rather then go to Wendy's another time. I wish I could just have thrown out the Baconator I tried 6 months ago. I'm pretty sure it will shorten my lifespawn by a 6 months, if not by a full year.

Re: Hardees v.s. McDonalds
Yuck...
If you saw what went into beef burgers you wouldn't eat them.

Burguer King or

Hardees coupons are everywhere (I have a clip as thick as my...umm...wallet full of them), even free to print on their Facebook page. Two of the papers around here include full sheets. With those coupons (which they let you use multiple times)
You are like those people at a check out somewhere like Macys with piles of coupons, being told repeatedly by the cashier that you can't buy most of the items in the store with them as the coupons are only valid for the cheap crap made for people with no taste.

Yes, there are lots of Kosher Deli's, even one on campus here.

Re: Hardees v.s. McDonalds
Nice Food #3. More food than you can eat at a single sitting. Good food. Prepared in front of you. Served super fast. Cheap. (Bowl o'Noodles or Rice + entree = $3) Vietnamese and Mexican staff. L.A. Korean-owned. Doing a whopping business in this recession, while McD's, BK, etc sit 90% empty.
-edit-
I have nothing against burger joints, mind. The chain-places got comfortable with a steady clientele the past 10 years or so, and lost touch (I think) with their ability to innovate. Little start-ups like "Nice Food #3" offer variety, relatively healthy food, on the cheap. Perfect for a quick lunch, when all you're allotted is 30 minutes.

I will answer your question, yes, I have. Now how about you finally answer the question which I already asked you several posts ago?
FYI, yeah I do collect coupons. It is not a 'cheap' thing, it is a smart thing. Sorry, but I think it is outrageously stupid to waste money because you are afraid of carrying coupons or just too lazy. And no, I am not that type of person, and the coupons from Hardees will get you great deal on even their best products.
BTW, I did not know that they had any Macys in Ireland, is that something new?

lmao, you are forgetting that I was in Europe Meneldil. Europeans eat fast food like crazy! There were multiple McDonalds and Burger Kings in every city I went to, and they were always mobbed.
And FYI, I worked at a sit-down restaurant once, if you think that the food there is any healthier, you are making a big mistake. I washed dishes, but I saw the way the made the food there and what they used. A lot of restaurant's strategies is just to soak things in oil and salt to disguise the taste of the garbage they cook...no different than a fast food place.

I used to eat kosher too bro, but trust me, it is not worth it! Just use your own smarts to eat the things God has not forbad, you don't need a Rabbi to ok it for you! You can get a 1/3 lb Thickburger that is perfectly good to eat!
HARDEES MUST CONQUER RELIGION!

According to the "Serbian Beef" thread, that time was not too long ago at all... boy, you sure change quickly... So, repeat: Italian prosciutto or do not eat meat at all.

Amen brother! Taco Bell can give me 10 tacos for under $10, and at those prices I can pretty much feed myself for a day or two if food is scarce and I'm in a bind. Good times and good food, but i'll be paying for it the next day.
