I like to ignore this certain brand of WIFOM. The wine is too bitter and too far away from me to reach with ease, so I sit in my fun box and think happy thoughts instead.
Makes sense, because B_Ray and ATPG are always mafia.

Double A slept soundly in a bed upstairs. Zack's mansion was so expansive, everyone got to sleep in their own room, and Double A was no exception.
Neither was the dark figure stealthily making his way to Double A's room.
The figure carefully opened the door to Double A's room, doing his best not to make a sound. He slipped inside the room, quietly shutting the door closed. He crept up to Double A's bed, then slipped a knife out his robes. The figure quickly slit Double A's throat, then retreated back to his own room.
------
That morning, when all came downstairs, everyone noticed that someone was missing.
bestrfcplayer: "Where's Double A? And where's Memnon?"
The others frowned, for they knew not. Well, of course, most of them didn't know.
Suddenly, Memnon was seen racing down the stairs, slightly out of breath. He had a grim look on his face.
Memnon: "I checked Double A's room; he's dead. I tried to use the power of the shirt to determine his murderer -- for his throat was slit -- but it was to no avail. All I discovered was that Johhog didn't do it." (Johhog has been scanned as town!)
Johhog: "Well, the shirt obviously works."

vote: Johhog I would like to be certain that the shirt does not fall into the treacherous grasp of the mafia.
Vote: Johhog
No, I just changed my name. Not permanent.
Uh, Warman used to be Populus Romanus, right?
I really don't want to have to type out Warman's ungodly username.
Hmm, this could be the perfect time to change my name to Unvote.
Alright, I've decided that I'm not going to type out Warman's ridiculous name, I will continue to refer to him as Warman. Since I don't really want to type out Populous Romanus either though, I will refer to him as Pop Rocks.
Vote: Pop Rocks for confusing me.
Populus:Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Also, No Lynch plz.
Vote: Johhog, reasons as above.
Vote: Populous as a means of exerting pressure. Thoughts?
Exerting pressure for me to change my name back? :inquisitive: By the way it was spelled Populus.
Vote: Johhog
Vote: Populous
I'm up for some pressure.
vote: Believer
You voted for me for no reason other than my changing my name. You are trying to hide behind the bandwagon on me to make yourself look innocent. Furthermore, you say that you want to pressure me, without giving any information whatsoever on what you want to know. when I specifically stated in the post above yours that I wanted to know what the pressure was for. And last but not least, you misspelled my former name. :brood:
Looks like I voted improperly, so I'll vote: Populus the Warman to obscure my shame.
Instead of voting me because I changed my name, vote Believer who is scummy.
If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime.
Hmmm?
The hell is wrong with the mafia? Are they afraid of me because I'm actually playing instead of leeching off the town? Or is it because jht said he would kill me the first chance he got over on TWC? Or is it because they saw that post and are trying to get me to think it was john? And why am I asking so many questions? Aren't I dead? Braaaaaains?
Vote: Believer
Memnon, was there any particular reason you scanned Johhog?
vote: Popular Romulan - because it's the popular thing to do.
vote: Warman
Really not liking this bandwagon, especially Believer and Montmorency. Believer especially seems to have just jumped on both popular votes, not to mention he's third on the bandwagon. But then Monty comes along with an even weaker vote.
Unvote: PR, Vote: Montmorency
This is yet the beginning. All votes are weak.
My No Lynch failed anyway.
Ok, everyone, his name's back, time to vote for someone else (not me, not me, not me):creep:
So who do you want us No-Lynchers to lynch, huh? I feel conflicted when I vote, because I know that if I vote for someone who it will affect, then I'll accused of jumping on the bandwagon, if I vote for someone out of the blue, then they do an OMGUS vote, and I'd rather not have the bandwagoners after me, there's just not enough evidence for me to feel confident about any choice yet.:dizzy2:
No lynch is better for town. It gives us time to identify everyone. Of course, it's not good for the backlog of Mafia games. I just realized that recently.
Vey iz mir.
Random lynches are worthless. The less lynches, the more day phases. The more day phases, the more the shirt gets used. The more the shirt gets used, the more people are identified. The more people identified, the likelier it is that one of the mafiosi will be caught. If one of the mafiosi is caught, we use one of our sweet, precious lynches to devastating effect.
Normal Game (assume 2 Mafia, one lynched midgame):
Day 1 - 17
Day 2 - 15
Day 3 - 13
Day 4 - 11
Day 5 - 9
Day 6 - 7
Day 7 - 5
Day 8 - 3
Investigations - 7
No Lynch Game (assume 2 Mafia):
Day 1 - 17
Day 2 - 16
Day 3 - 15
Day 4 - 14
Day 5 - 13
Day 6 - 12
Day 7 - 11
Day 8 - 10
Day 9 - 9
Day 10 - 8
Day 11 - 7
Day 12 - 6
Day 13 - 5 (assume one mafioso lynched today)
Day 14 - 3
Investigations - 13
Now, probability was never my strong suit, but 13 is a lot better than 6. The Mafia might presumably vote each other for the shirt later in the game. That's fine. That can be used as evidence.
In the statistical sense, No Lynch is quantifiably superior.
Why wasn't I scanned N1?
Gosh, I don't want people to touch me N1, everyone touches me.
I finally want to be touched, and I am getting as much attention as a dateless loser on prom night. I wasn't even fricking murdered.
Vote: Whoever
Holy delayed double post Batman.
Can I just ask our host to clarify something? If the person who is voted to receive the shirt is killed by the mafia that night, will we still get the result of their scan? I'll vote once I get the answer, I just want my pretty blue vote to be in the same post as the black one .
Haha you guys are hilarious. Awesome wagons so far
Lynch Pizza to upset him even more :clown:
Lynch Pizza = Pizza doesn't try to catch any mafia.
Starting from Netherworld III and lasts until the fiery underworld freezes over.
What do pizza and my infant have in common? All they know how to say is "Me me me me me"!

VOTE: Johhog
VOTE: No Lynch
FOR SHIRT AND FOR COUNTRY.
Oh, and I second the question if we get a scan or not if (when) I die. I suppose we would, or Mafia would always kill the shirt holder.
No lynches are lame!
I'm guilty. Lynch me.
FOR SHIRT AND FOR SWEDEN.
How about my Hussars?
Ok, so for the shirt so far it's 7 for Johhog, 1 for Believer, and 1 for Warman(Populus or outrageous-one-above-me?).
Voting "no lynch" in the early game feeds right into mafia goals. The mafia wants to be the only ones killing early on so as to minimize the chance of early investigations identifying one. The time for "no lynch" votes, if ever, is in the mid to late game when investigation suspects have been narrowed. Moreover, your assumption of one mid-game lynch in your metric is optimistic in practice. Read over some of Sasaki's comments on the no lynch route.
Populus squirmed enough for now. Unvote: Populus; Vote: Montmorency.
You're just too willing to let the mafia set the pace. Believer too, with his minimal vote support and third on the bandwagon status, also bears some evaluation.
unvote, vote: Montmorency
I'm doing the lazy strategy this time because I'm still disappoint.
Scan me tonight.
Alright, link Sasaki's comments.
Ok, Seamus' post convinced me, I guess I'll Vote: ELITEKWARMAN8GINGYBREADMENMILK for making me try to pronounce his name in my head
Lordy it has been a while. I think they were in one of GH's Mafia renditions 5-7. The issue keeps cropping up from time to time. I put no lynch in Capo because, with all the acitve night actions, it sometimes made more sense to investigate and wait....but capo generally has 20+ investigations going on each night along with all the blood, so the numbers are different. In a bog standard 1 detective, I remember the numbers end up putting more pressure on the mafia, at least in the end game, by lynching to reduce the field early on. Brutal, but ends up working.
No lynch = sucks for town.
I'm not going to hunt through several thousand posts for this, so I'll take your word for it.
Unvote; Vote: PopulusRomanus
I thought we'd at least compromised on "better for mid-to-late game."
So desu ne.
Meh. B_Ray. Haven't really been following up on this game so.........
Use the Vote: Player format.
And make a new post, I'd prefer you don't edit posts that have votes in them.
Alright then, now that's clarified I'll
vote: Johhog
And, on a hunch (read: random guess as nobody has made a decent case yet)
vote: Seamus Fermanagh
I think I will vote Ishmael because his hesitant play-it-safe attitude seems unfitting for a townie.
Round over, write-up is coming.
TALLY:
Montmorency: 3 (Askthepizzaguy, Seamus, Tratorix)
Populus Romanus: 3 (B_Ray, Believer, Montmorency)

Not Voting: 3 (ATPG, bestrfcplayer, Seon)
Populus Romanus: "Hey, look at me! I'm Warman!"
Warman: "Hey, no you're not!"
Several of the other men began to accuse Populus Romanus of being worthy of death, for impersonation of a soldier, or "warman" in layman terms.
Populus Romanus: "Oh come on, is this a tea party? Don't be so uptight, I was just having a little fun."
After these words, the other men relaxed their suspicions -- for the most part.
Montmorency: "How about we just stop killing people?"
Seamus: "Heresy! Burn the non-believer!"
Montmorency: "No, no, listen to me! We can find the killer -- or killers -- better this way! We won't be killing ourselves, just using the shirt to try and locate the mysterious killer(s)!!!"
Askthepizzaguy: "This is idiocy. We should take this man to the gallows."
Yaropolk: "What gallows?"
Askthepizzaguy: "You know what I mean, you slimeball!"
While no one could come to a conclusion on who to lynch, nearly everyone agreed that Johhog should get the shirt.
Johhog: "Gee, thanks everyone! You guys rock!"
Once bedtime had come, still no consensus had been reached on who should die. Therefore, no one did.
Well, today, that is.
